Is there any reason you use 3% food grade hydrogen peroxide instead of 12% but just less of it? Please let me know thank you!!!

Anything above 3% becomes an irritant as its too potent

I am curious if anyone has heard or experienced any degradation on any chiller parts from using Ozone in the long term. I have heard they can discolor tubes, which I am sure is fine but is this the tube slowly breaking down? Thoughts?

how much peroxide should i add to the desert plunge and how often should i, do you just simply pour into plunge ?

Is there an automated time release ozone generator like the one desert plunge uses that you’d recommend which could be integrated into your ice barrel 500 diy? I’d like something that I can set and forget vs having an unintegrated ozone unit that has to be actively managed.

@DavidMausJr8 ай бұрын
UV is great too. Need to do a deeper dive and compare the two
@JujuPig-vz5mq8 ай бұрын
I asked for a UV system in the hot tub that I was going to purchase but the dealer explained to me that UV doesn't make that much of a difference if there is an ozonator in the hot tub already & also an ozonator is going to work better than the ultraviolet light,, this advice from the dealer also pertained to cold plunging units.

I've ordered the Plunge Pod with the Pro chiller, which has an ozone generator built in. I will have the Pod and chiller in my basement. Do you see any issues with having this setup in the house? FYI, my basement is 2200 square feet with 9 foot ceilings.

Uhm...thank you so much for the video. One question: let's say I run my ozone right after my bath, for an hour. Should I keep the cold plunge covered or not? I suppose if you keep the lid on, maybe the ozone wouldn't go away...Am I wrong?
@robertgarvansnyder46655 ай бұрын
To clarify, David, your Active Aqua chiller is just out in the open, getting rained on or whatever, and you’ve had no issues? I picked one up for my setup in Oregon, deciding whether I’ll need to move it inside, or if it can handle the elements. Obviously, our climate is a bit different than Florida.

Hey David, thanks for this video. Now i know you also have the Plunge. I as well. That ozonator is plumbed inline and always on. Now I have my plunge inside and when i pull cover off to use i get that pungent whiff of ozone. Have to walk away a few minutes. Have you considered trying to put some sore of timer on the plunge Ozone system? Seems a little challenge since it’s all wired together and plugged into the power bank in the power box. Just wondering your thoughts. Plunge on!
@DavidMausJr8 ай бұрын
Great question. Just double checked with the founder. Response From Mike the founder: He could add a timer to the power strip if the ozone smell is an issue. But we’ve tested it and it’s not a harmful amount of ozone. I’ve noticed the same smell and mine is in the garage. I do the same thing. I open it up for about a minute and get in.

Hi I have a question about the ozone generator. I want to buy The original one you reviewed (ALdious) but it is no longer available. @@DavidMausJr We were just talking about tertiary filtration (Chlorine, Uv and OZONE) which is the last stage of waste water treatment. You might remember the plant in between Greenwood Lake and Lake Mary. I had my former students tour this facility as part of AP Environmental Science. The tertiary process is a disinfectant like you said rather than use chemicals more natural processes would involve UV and Ozone. Cool Stuff.

So I’ve watched almost everyone your videos love the information by the way. I’m running 35% H2O2 and I’ve seen that you said this is all you use and sometimes you put the Ice Barrel water stabilizer in, but now I see you say that you only use the ozone. Which one do you prefer? I’ve been running no ozone for three months now and wondering if I should switch over to that and stop using H2O2?
@DavidMausJr8 ай бұрын
I experiment with different things in the different setups I have. I typically only use hydrogen peroxide. Some have or I also throw my Ozone generator in as well. Then some with less filtration (like my Ice Barrel DIYs) I also throw a few drops of the water stabilizer in. A combo of all three works great but also just using ozone or H202 also works great. Its up to you.
