Thats not true anymore! The Unico 2 Flyback Chrono in 42mm Black Ceramic or Spirit of BigBang 42mm in Black Ceramic are not always available. Also the limited editions are not available immediately. Things have changed during the last 3 years!

I personally like Hublot but I hate comes from the movement and not being built in-house. They use a modified SW300-1 movement that costs $300 but charges over $10k for their watches..

Hublot have made some outstanding contributions to watchmaking though. The Ferrari engine shaped watches are a masterpiece in terms of movement with 60 day power reserves and their Meca 10 movements are also amazing with 10 day power reserves. Additionally their use of material like reinforced carbon and titanium are cool. So I believe they deserve SOME credit, but yes there are some things about them that are silly like the use of ETA movements and then charging ridiculous prices on those models or the large amount of ‘special edition’ watches which doesn’t make it feel special anymore.

Their re sell value goes down because what other brands do is when make a watch within a year or 2 they will discontinue it and the people sell the discontinued watches tend to increase in price it can be fixed but won't be making the model anymore thats also a huge reason why ap rolex and others go up in value

Hublot watches are top notch and priced right. All this talk about the movement ignores that no one buys non-digital watches for their time. Watches are works of jewelry. Jewelry is about the quality of the finish and how it's cut to contain surface points that reflect light from light sources at all angles to destinations at all angles which is the science of how bling works.

The misalignment of the screws on the bezel has me triggered. The fact that Hublot hasn't manufactured special tooling to update this shows the lack of focus on their customers and most importantly craftmanship. But then again, it's business, and as long as you have clients who are willing to pay the ridiculous prices then why change from a business standpoint?

I admire fine watchmaking, even though I don't own any. I am a watch enthusiast, so much so that I have some good "popular" watches, such as Seiko, GShock, Bulova, Tissot, Citizen, as well as other national ones (because in my opinion the Brazilian watch industry has its value). If my financial reality were to rise considerably I would consider buying Rolex, Omega, AP, Cartier and even Patek but I cannot wish for a Hublot.🕑
