I've had enough tail to last 4life times I just wanna live my life. I've learned that Peace of Mind is priceless, I love dogs too w😂 my last dog was 14.5yrs old when he died me and him had just divorced my 2nd ex. What I've learned that most of these guys never grew up, they were never able to do these things in their home countries. I did all that when I was young. A Real Man is a rare thing to find in this world. I'm getting off the plane and going to my room then the beach relax for a few days then start traveling and seeing the sites life is to short. New subscriber here. I've lived in Hawaii and I love the Asian culture and Buddhist Religion (respect for every living organism). From watching several blogs, the thing that impresses me the most about Thailand, the fact that so many expats feel free enough in Thailand to complain so much. In China expats don't complain for fear of going missing. Cheers to freedoms in Thailand 🥂

hey Edward first off my friend welcome to the channel I'm very happy that you decided to join and subscribe and I truly appreciate that.... I have found that it doesn't matter where in the world I am I can find expats that complain about everything about their host country.. it is a shame because to be honest with you if you're that unhappy just go back home... now I have personally been to China over 25 times and I can say this much I do know people there that complain quite frequently however they're not doing it in the open they're not broadcasting it on WeChat or KZbin or anything like that you are right there is that fear ... An observation I have made is that the expats I have met outside of tourist areas, have both assimilated more and are the type of people who are willing to move to real Thailand in order to make their wives happy as they love to live with their families. I lived in a small village in a rarely visited province and most of the expats there were very nice people. I believe what you are saying but, why do you stay in a tourist area? Living with Thai people is wonderful.

I agree with you 100% and if I was going to be living here full time forever I would definitely move out of this area and probably go up to the Chang Mai or Chiang Rai area I'm staying down here simply because of the social media experiment that I'm working on as well as the fact that I love the island life Lol And these videos are geared towards guys going to those areas Thanks for watching and commenting Cheers

I am the kind of guy that keeps his sex life to himself. Most "normal" guys keep that to themselves. Don't really understand people who move from another and complain about the country they moved to. If you don't like it, move back. It is not your country. I actually like to explore and try new cultures and things. Hope to visit Thailand someday, if it is for me may spend some extend time there. Your videos are extremely informative.

channel that you have I truly appreciate that listen man it's really weird so many guys come here strictly for the sex tourism and they automatically think that everybody else is here strictly for that as well and they just start telling you s*** they start showing you s*** it is absolutely insane.. as far as the people that go to another country and disrespect the local culture talk about immigrants and stuff like that these people are just completely ignorant it doesn't matter where they're going or where they've been they're just going to be ignorant no matter what. and sadly enough I'm going to tell you something it's pretty much always from the same countries I know that sounds ignorant cuz I'm stereotyping people but it has been my experience that it is people from the same few countries that do it all the time. Sas buy true Thanks for watching and commenting Cheers Mate 🍺

True, even if I were in one of those bars I can't see myself comparing videos with another patron, (not that I would bother filming it anyway). Some guys are just freaks and need to regale other men with their exploits, I guess because they like the sound of their own voice?? I've heard plenty of stories. Any guy who pays and acts like the women are "attracted" to him is deluded in the first place.
@auntiesemite9295 Жыл бұрын
I tried living in another country as an expat and found almost all the expats worked at jobs taking money from other expats because the locals wouldn't deal with them. So they did mostly "immigration/visa consulting" and real estate to foreigners. And others just came right out and asked for money. I had one guy ask for $3500 US because he had a debt back home! Like every foreigner is so wealthy, they can just give away that kind of money. In that country, that amount would have paid for one year rent in my 3 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment! NEVER give them a penny. I would give some money but mostly food to the poor, most of whom were refugees. Does Thailand have a lot of refugees and people begging?
@whyhellotherewithdrmarksabean Жыл бұрын
You're 100% right most of the expats that are working in Thailand are doing Visa consulting Airbnb property rentals crop like this or they're just flat out trying to steal your money through some stupid crypto mining b*******.... On Phuket to be honest with you there's very little begging there might be five or six beggars and that's it but it's mostly older people or people who have been deformed from some type of disease . . This is why I'm very happy living in a village with mostly Thai friends, it's stressful here going to the coast with my wife for holidays, I feel like I'm constantly apologising about foreigners, I've had many ask if my wife is a bar girl in front of her and you're right, you're more likely to get scammed by other expats here than the locals, if you give advice to anyone, don't buy anything through another foreigner here, don't even rent a property, they'll charge you double or more but there's still alot of good ones I know in the country, I don't see any of them much because I live so far from everyone and am happy that way

The trick is working out which places you are suitable for you. I also find best friendships I have made , started with having drinks after an activity like, golf, sailing , scuba diving etc. Not by a random encounter at a bar, especially in a Red light district

Hi Mark. I’ve met the kind of people you talk about and I share your opinion 100%. I do my best to avoid them, yet even so I managed to get ripped off by one of them for quite a large sum of money. However, I have to say that after living in northern Thailand for 11 years I find these people to be a definite minority. I meet and am friends with some thoughtful, kindly and concerned (dog loving 😊) expats. On the other side I’ve met some digital nomads who are arrogant know alls, won’t stop talking about themselves and boast about their score on the bar scene. Surely it’s unwise ( and unfair) to generalise. We should take or leave people as we find them. Generalising appeals to certain self-righteous, judgemental individuals because they feel it confirms them in their own superiority.

I like the fact that you can easily meet people and strike up conversations with foreigners in places like coffee shops- something you can't really do back home. I think it depends where you go. If you live in Sukhumwit or Pattaya, the expats are probably there for the bar girls. If you live in rural Isaan, the expats are probably there with a local wife, and may be more introverted to survive there.

I do talk to expats I do have some friends here that are expats you just need to find people that are more like you. I took notice of the chatter about the “ugly westerner”. It has been my experience for the most part that the majority of Americans that I meet in foreign countries are usually for the most part well traveled and extremely interesting... If I ever move to Thailand, it's about trying to live there. Expiercing life as it is, getting to know the allday routines and customs. And foremost, obviously, learning to speak the language to be able to communicate with local people on a proper base. Because to me it makes no sense, to move to a foreign country without having gained a certain amount of the, at least, main spoken language on a level so I can have sorta fluent conversations with the locals. Expecting them to speak my language is the worst expression of ignorance I can imagine. But I grew a trilingual (tbh, doesn't help much beyond the western hemisphere) and was from birth on raised in several countries. So I'm sort of used to blend in a another country und learning new languages etc. But it's still everytime a challenging move.

It is so important to learn at least some basic language skills when you're moving to a foreign country instead of just relying on them to be able to speak English or whatever your native tongue is... Mark it’s quite sad but a lot of expats in my experience have a sense of entitlement . They forget they are a guest of the country they now reside in. I’m no angel and I plan in retiring to Thailand but it’s the food, the people , the weather and the whole lifestyle that I like. A conversation with some stranger about their sexual exploits with someone young enough to be their daughter does nothing for me either. I know a bunch of ex pats out there and they do go to bars, have drinks and get girls but they don’t act like that. They all have a good life in Thailand .

yeah Michael it really sucks I'll tell you something man my first year here it was really hard for me because that's the only people that I was meeting... now like I said I've had some people reach out to me because of the channel and I have developed some actual friendships I guess you could call them with guys that are like-minded they're not the tail hounds and stuff they're not drug addicts... It's fun to have a conversation about sports talk to guys about stuff other than where they can find the young girls... I am very fortunate now because I have made some good contacts.. Thanks for watching and commenting Cheers Mate 🍺

@@whyhellotherewithdrmarksabean I’m coming to Thailand on the 28th of December for 2 months. I’ll be visiting Phuket at some point so I’ll keep watching your channel and catch up for a coffee and a bit of lunch. As long as you like football (soccer) we’ll have a lot to discuss. Live your life and stay away fro negative vibes. Thailand is supercool place to be.

I can confirm 300%. My wife and I are both digital nomads, we were born in the Grand Duchy of Luxemburg, and have been living in Florida, Switzerland, Dubai for multiple years at the time. We recently moved to TH and I can tell you most of the expat westerners here are truly *bottom of the barrel* compared to what we are used to be around. We avoid them like the pest, they're just gross

And the sad part is I didn't even have to say westerners in the video and everybody knew who I was talking about... what I find extremely interesting is that the comments here on KZbin have been very positive and most people are in agreeance with me.. However you look at the comments on the Facebook chat groups for expats in Thailand and they are absolutely tearing me apart because they just can't be honest with themselves.. Thank you very much for watching and commenting and welcome to the channel. Cheers

@@whyhellotherewithdrmarksabean Well Dr, you stayed respectfully "vague" but it's an _"if you know, you know"_ -topic. I could of been even more precise and easily name countries of origin! Truth hurts and nobody expects the *bottom of the barrel* to have the ability of self-reflection and/or self-critique, reserved only to the smart and mature....so I wouldn't mind if you triggered a few facebook groups (where nobody but these people hang around anyway). KZbin's viewer demographic is generally more mature and can put 2&2 together, hence the positive and understanding, more realistic reactions. My wife and I are looking forward to meet you some day and exchange some thoughts on life (don't worry we have a dog lol!). Firm handshakes 🤝🏼

If Respect is foremost in your psyche you will avoid ‘who you reference’ like the plague. Being respectful and open to Thai life and it will be the best thing to bolster your life.

Sir Dr it is necessary to always title yourself that is also a problem with people these days. btw I love dogs.
@whyhellotherewithdrmarksabean6 ай бұрын
Hey Karl.... Yes it is necessary to title myself in the videos The DR title is a joke, it is parody, it is a character..... If you've watched dmy videos a long enough you would know why I do it... It is just a joke It is not what you think..... Cheers mate 🍻 Have a blessed day

Im a retired expat from the US living in Thailand six years. Live in a "traditional" Thai city in South Thailand with a great Thai partner. Few foreign expats. Happy with that. Dont need them. Lived in Phuket before for 4 1/2 years. Left 11/22 . Got overrun with russkies, traffic horrid. Had a few expat friends there. Mostly avoided them. Waa happy to leave them behind when i left the US. Sure dont need them here.

I recently came back from Thailand & saw many expats. I have to agree with what you’re saying about them. In some bars it looked like they were old age gangsters. I didn’t stay around long as I felt uncomfortable.
@whyhellotherewithdrmarksabean Жыл бұрын
Hey Lawrence it is sad isn't it when you see them sitting there that way.... That's why I try to avoid the bars as much as possible. going down to the beach at night time is far more enjoyable to be honest... Cheers Mate 🍺🍺

I just had to stop the video at 7:41 and write this as I was laughing, but I know what you mean. One of the reasons I was hesitant to even tell people that I wanted to move to Thailand is that I was afraid that they would think I was some sick f*ck that just wanted to chase young Thai girls. That is the last thing I'm thinking about when I want to move to Thailand. I want to live in a friendly country that is affordable and I can play golf, travel to other countries, learn about a new culture, etc. If I happen to meet a nice female that is within a decent age range to me, then great. It's so cringe when I see these videos of guys videoing on Walking Street in Pattaya and it's like they don't even see the girls as human beings. I want nothing to do with Walking Street or that "scene". My goal is to play all of the best golf courses in Thailand, learn to speak a little Thai and just escape to another world and live stress free. It's the gross, ugly guys that are pervs who give Expats in Thailand a bad name, I agree. I'll watch the rest of the video later and add any thoughts if I have any.

These are the people who give Thailand the "ick factor" reputation. Not the women (or men) who have wandered astray due to financial desperation, family circumstance, etc...
