It was my understanding that raw chicken bones are safe enough for dogs to eat but watch out if the bones have been through the cooking process. I think the change that takes place causes the bones to become brittle and splinter.

My favorite lobster fact is that many years ago Maine made it a law that inmates could only be given lobster a maximum number of times a week because it was considered inhumane to just give it to them every day. The state was so lousy with them that it was the cheapest food source available, and I imagine one could get sick of anything if you ate it every meal for years.

That's a big ass Marron... These things are hardy. A friend found a bit of drift wood at a dried creek he wanted to put in his fresh water fish tank. The bit of drift wood stayed outside in 40C weather for about 3 months thinking anything would have died in it and the wood would have petrified. He put it in his tank one night, went to bed and woke up to find an empty fish tank with a very fat Marron. It'd managed to go through almost 400 fish after waking up from its stasis.
