Thanks for all this. I want to dispense with my E-PL10 and I have with an EM10 II which I will keep. I was hovering over GX85 and G80 and the G80 does sound the better bet. Weather sealing was a big surprise and the mike input a bonus. I bought a 45-175mm as the lack of stabilisation in Olympus zooms means they are not so flexible but it cannot be implemented with Olympus bodies! Whoops. The E-PL10 has a heavily cut back menu so the compatability was lost with the EM-10 so the Panasonic menus will not be such a struggle. Edit: well not weather sealed but splashproof so not for the pouring rain but not expecting for the price.

@@madsciencefilms Have now bought the G80 and the dual stabilisation is excellent. Better than the straight IBIS in the EM10 II. It is hard work for IBIS stabilising these longer zooms. When I used a 300mm zoom on the EM10 it seemed like the sensor was in a frenzy and about to exit the camera. Strange how the G90 disappeared and Panasonic kept with the old model. probably cheaper and easier to keep the 16mp at this level. The logic, if any exists, behind Panasonic's range and naming of cameras is one of the great mysteries of the Universe. The classic case was the TZ range where it was called FS elsewhere and the number for some reason split so the TZ95 equivalent was the FS80. Edit: My favourite lens is the 14-45mm and it is interesting as it does not support dual stabilisation. Suprisingly the Mega OIS in the lens easily outperforms the IBIS so you can see why they went for dualling. This is an old design so possibly the IBIS has been improved but Olympus are still the kings of IBIS but I do not like it for long zoom. Hopefully OMD will start putting it in their long focal length lenses.

Absolutely! Just be mindful of the slight 4K crop and not very good AF for video in AFC

The G80 more so and as long as you’re comfortable with manual focus and the match is not taking place inside and in low light.
