Key to enjoying Philippines is to go with the flow and talk, joke around with the locals. Filipinos are so friendly and outgoing. Forget comparisons to the West.

I've been living in the Philippines "Red Zone " as you call it for 5 years now. Before that I was in Cavite on Luzon Island for 2.5 years. It's the people that keep me here. I visited Vietnam 5 years the infrastructure and the food was better there but didn't connect with the people bc of the language barrier. I'm planning a visit to Thailand in January but feel already language will bring me back to the Philippines.

Don't know what you got til it's gone. . . So much is said in this video about the people, the culture and how intoxicating it can be for foreignors. Although many like to explore other regions, there is a pull from the Philippines that many other SE Asian countries can't provide. Although you aren't a pollyanna about PI land, it has gotten under your skin and will be hard to resist. . .

Very positive video....maybe too positive. Here are already enough old expats, don't help to make the pinoys an aging society 😊 But honestly, the beauty seems to fade for older men when they find themselfs here after 6 months or so with nothing senseful to do except taking advantage of the happy hour in bars. Just another day in paradise, as Phil was singing

Wrong again BooHoo. This was all shot on my Canon which I've used for the majority of my videos and has a proper 1" sensor. The new Osmo DJI Pocket3 doesn't actually have a 1" sensor as it's falsely been advertised to have.

Can you please advise what is the best Philippine SIM card? I don't use a lot of data. Can you get it on arrival? Thanks
@BiggWorldCinema11 күн бұрын
I used a Globe sim for 4 years. But recently discovered that with Smart you can load "Magic data" which doesn't have an expiry date, so if you don't use much data, $5 will last forever! You can buy one at the airport on arrival.

Newbie to the Phil’s deciding to either settle in Cebu or Davao? Can you give some tips
@BiggWorldCinema18 күн бұрын
Welcome Sir. Firstly I advise checking out a number of different cities - get an AirBnB for a couple of weeks in each city to get a feel for the place. Cebu and Davao are totally different. Cebu is a compact city, close to some great islands whereas Davao city is spread out. Check my earlier videos. Good luck.
