I'll be enrolling as a first year maths student at Warwick this September (as in, in a month from now!!). Given that I missed my offer from Cambridge, I wasn't too excited, but I'm starting to warm up to it now, and this video helped a lot! So, see you there I guess!

Congrats for getting into Warwick!! I'm a Cambridge reject myself, so I know just how disappointing that can feel - but honestly, I'm so happy I ultimately ended up at Warwick, from the course to the stress to the friends I made. If you're talented enough to make it here, you'll certainly thrive in whatever scenario you end up in, and Warwick is a pretty nice place to be thriving in!! Good luck with the course, and if you ever have any questions or want to chat, I'd be more than happy to help :D

Hiya thanks for ur vids I'm a bit lost on were to go for maths so like ur vids are v helpful. But like on the cons is there smtg u regret going to warwick? Like what do you not like about it. From looking online I cant find much on the quality of lecturers or like the vibe of the people that go there, if u dont mind me asking.

I don't really regret anything about coming here, apart from some of the ways the university has handled political issues on campus, but that's clearly a very personal thing and you'd have to do your own research on that I guess. And as to the vibe of people, that's a tough one to answer - there seems to be a massive range! As with any uni (I assume) you're going to get a big mix, so you should always be able to find your crowd. The lecturers have been very good so far, with maybe a couple here and there who I'm not such a fan of? Again, there's a massive range, so whilst I, say, aren't such a fan of lecturers who go into extreme depth about some of the topics, others might appreciate the extra detail. They've all been very friendly and clearly know what they're talking about though, and I've had some really passionate lecturers who have properly inspired me.

Hi, Thanks for this video! How is maths at Warwick? Is it very difficult? Did you do any admissions tests and how did you do in them? Are there people who didn't do STEP or other admissions tests but are doing well in the degree? I read on the student room that one person thinks you should only go to Warwick if you get a 1/S in STEP, do you think that's true? Sorry for this overload of questions :)

Hiya - sorry for the late reply! It's tricky to say whether it's "hard" as that obviously means different things to different people, but so far I've definitely found it something that I have to work at, but is never impossible. I personally didn't take any admission tests, getting in purely based on my a levels, and I've been meeting all the targets I have for myself; I'd say that the person on student room is completely wrong! Warwick wouldn't let you in if they thought you were going to struggle on the course, so if you make the grades you'll be fine, no matter whether those grades include the STEP or not :D
