Your story is very similar to mine! I didn't decide to do nursing until 2 years into undergrad. I wanted to be an OB since like middle school. So now I have a few family members who still make comments about me switching to become a nurse. It is aggravating and makes me second guess myself. But I love your video because it helped me to be more confident in my decision. Thank you!

Great video! I always thought I wanted to be a physician (specifically surgeon). Now I know I want to be a nurse, but sometimes still think about going for my Masters as a PA down the line. We will see, but I am thrilled and excited to be a nurse!

+Toxic Start looking at nursing schools in the area, or the area you want to be in. :) If you can, take college credits in high school that are lined up with the nursing degree.

How do you administer medication? Do you actually do the math with your hand ?

+TheNatureM It depends. Most of the time the math is so simple, you do not need to write it out. For example: I am giving 0.5mg of Dilaudid and the vial is 1mg/1mL. For more complicated things, such as a Heparin drip, then I would hand write it out to double check.
