PS. Hope you guys have been doing great and are enjoying writing music!! If you see me gone for a while in the future now you know why and where to find me. A few other educational and inspiring music channels I recommend are besides the one I mentioned in this video are: - Austin Wintory's channel (can't believe I didn't mention it. This is my absolute favorite, Austin is a gem) - Andrew Huang's channel - Rick Beato's channel I would also recommend watching channels that don't fit 100% in your music niche, as there's lots we can learn from genres of music outside of the ones we work in.

It’s a shame most of the other commenters here seem to be totally missing your point. I found this update super inspiring, and actually has me rethinking my own approach to making music (and life). I actually had no idea this was your original channel because I first found you through your game music analyses. Glad to hear you’re doing so well! (Also, getting to play FF14 music live onstage with the composer is absolutely nuuuuuts - seriously congrats!)

I watched your videos a ton a few years back- huge inspiration and helped me create my first orchestral piece in FL. I just got back into FL after a few years hiatus and went back to look for a more updated version with FL 21 and was sad when I couldn’t find anything. I’m so stoked your back. I would absolutely LOVE a detailed series of your thought process, ideas, work flow, template etc. Especially when it comes to technical skills in FL. It’s so much to tackle a full orchestra in FL, and always appreciate you sharing your experience. No need for edits! Either way, glad you’re doing well brother 🤙🏼

Absolutely agree on your philosophy on writing music. Over the years, I also realized that my best music ideas are based on something I've experienced, or felt. In a way, or actually maybe in any way or form I think our music is a reflection of our life and how we have lived/are living/will continue to live through it. That's what makes it so much fun I think, composing/writing music, because we're living it, in the moment; and if you fall down or make a mistake it's alright because it'll just continue (life that is) and music if you let it. Sorry for the ramble haha, philosophical stuff always get me Though there weren't really any new updates to me since I already follow your other stuff😆(besides the hush hush video game projects), it was fun listening to this update in a podcast kind of style. It's always fun and inspiring listening to you talk. Keep on being awesome, man

You were one of the few people that inspired me to make my pieces. -I learnt to not be like others. Be my self, and make my music. My own style. -I think you have seen a lot of famous people having its own styles of making music or anything. That’s it, make your own thing. -We all learn from others, that’s really true. We need to learn from others to make our things. -And I’m glad to learn orchestration from you. I’m looking forward to see more of your tutorials. They’re good for someone that wants to make great pieces. -Thanks, man❤️!

Hey man love your videos! I watched some videos on your other channel and love them as well, and frequently watch this channels videos to help me on a part that I don't really get for video game music as well when I'm making orchestra (not really) versions of that song, and listen Theophany (VGM Artist) and to the Baldur's Gate 3 and Fire Emblem Fates (Games) soundtrack quite frequently because I can't seem to find any other tutorial channels that focus on that type of sounding music (if that makes sense). l get the love for games, as a Gamer™ myself. Had no idea you were working on so many projects because a lot of the times, you don't show up on my feeds despite following you. I really wish I could have seen your posts about the cool things you've worked on, companies you've worked on, etc. because 1, that's cool! That's so freaking cool! and 2, it's like a drive for me to keep going. That i *CAN* do amazing things like you, to learn how to do things my way like you have. You're an inspiration for me. idk what i was saying in this comment i feel like i got off track.

I always came here to learn music because every tutorial was something new to learn. and your one of the few youtubers that I've found that tells you how to write complex sections and or how to use a freaking DAW. Id say, you don't have to listen to your audience, make the content with the original goal in mind, because good tutorials and finding someone on KZbin to teach music well and in depth is hard to find due to the algorithm. I hope you keep making tutorials that you think to be helpful and necessary. keep up the good work man!

My honest opinion for what it's worth is that some KZbinrs keep it strictly professional but I personally like that connection when sometimes you just share things, as you have just done. It makes the person "real" and that provides more of a connection that just an "instructor". I mean yes, people don't need to hear about your "personal" stuff that is your business, but sometimes I like to hear about KZbinrs I follow and their lives every now and again. It enables me to relate to you more. Anyway just my 2 cents. Keep up the AMAZING videos .. just wish you were using Cubase tis all :) don't hate me for saying it!

It's great to see you've been doing well! I'd be curious to know your reasons for wanting to switch from FL studio to cubase. Personally, I've always used FL, but recently I've been composing for short films and FL's video sync is terrible when changing the tempo. I've been able to make do so far, but I'm thinking that I should maybe switch... the issue is that I've grown so accustomed to FL that switching feels like a daunting task.
@AlexMoukala
@AlexMoukala 2 ай бұрын
FL's video sync is one of the reasons. There's several other reasons, one is that I very often reach the mixer's maximum amount of tracks. The impossibility to set negative delays on the channel tracks was another, but I addressed that with my Patcher preset I made. I'll likely talk about it in the future, but generally speaking, and based on what I've read time and time again on the official FL Studio forum, the FL Studio devs keep composers a little low on the list of their priorities. They're way more focused on creating a better environment for other kinds of users unfortunately. Quite a few small features that would be a quality of life upgrade for more advanced composers are yet to be implemented in FL even if they have been requested years ago on the forums. It's a shame because the flexibility of FL's workflow and its piano roll are amazing
