Last year, I told you guys that I dissolved the filler in my face, specifically the under eye filler I had injected a few years back. So I decided to do this video to explain why. Have you had filler like Juvéderm or Restylane before? Tell me about your experience in the comments!

Hi Everyone! Some quick updates since I shot this video. I actually went back to my doctor to have my filler dissolved one more time. That REALLY changed the look of my face in my opinion. There’s a solid chance I’ll get a little more filler back in that area eventually, but I’m still glad I did it so I could start fresh. Hope this video was helpful!

They had to do 5 dissolves to get rid of my lip filler. Mine had migrated up towards my nose was was giving me that "duck look." I had it only for a bit over a year, and had 1 syringe worth. Dissolve can sometimes take longer for some....And I am someone who metabolizes my botox and filler faster, and even still, that lip filler was a B to dissolve!

Interesting fact: ovulatory cycles, literally every single time you ovulate, promote stronger bones and muscle tone in the long-term. So making sure you’re ovulating (I.e. not taking the pill- something like the copper IUD instead), will actually help prevent that bone loss Susan was mentioning! It’s good to try and get in as many ovulatory cycles as possible before menopause to help with anti-ageing

So sorry to hear about that! 😢 I had a bad filler job too but at this point, as horrible as I look, I don't want to inject anything else on my skin. The filler experience was super painful. I was swollen for weeks and couldn't sleep. Headaches. My doctor refused to dissolve it, and only told me he doesn't dissolve AFTER he had injected me. He told me I needed to go elsewhere to get that. Isn't that awful? These people should go to jail for lying to us that it's temporary when they can find it in cadavers.

I think a lot of people get under eye filler who aren't good candidates or don't even need it and it doesn't enhance their looks. I was born with hereditary deep, long tear troughs. I've been getting under eye filler since '09, every three years. Doctors call the area under my eyes "hill, valley, hill" and we are the best candidates for under eye filler. The filler is injected behind the "valley" or trough, which raises it up to the level of the surrounding skin above and below it, the "hills". It makes it to where there is no more shadow being created or the shadow is lessened. If there's no valley or trough to fill up, the results can be problematic.

Are you also dissolving them or it’s gets dissolved automatically in a 3 years span? I have the same issue. Hollow under eyes and no dark circles still it gives illusion of dark circles because of the shadow.
@marissac713
@marissac713 2 жыл бұрын
@@aileen8492 at three years is when I notice the shadows again, so I get the original type of Restylane filler placed again. I've tried other fillers, but the Restylane gives me the best results. For me, it's going away on its own naturally. I've seen other videos that say it migrates to another area, but that doesn't happen to me. It just lasts about three years in me until I notice the look of the tear troughs again.

It started with dark circles and developed into large bags and even darker circles that could not be covered up, no matter what I did/tried. I've been dealing with it for just over a year and it's finally SLOWLY starting to look better. I thought about dissolving it but figure the worst of it seems to be over so I'm waiting it out. If the "healing" stalls and the dark circles don't go away, I will make the choice to dissolve it. Whatever you decide is obviously a personal choice, but thought I'd share mine. Good luck!

I had under eye filler seven years ago and it is still here. It did not help with the dark circles and there is a little puff where it was injected. My new doctor explained that it should not have been injected superficially, but under de muscle. If it is superficial, the delicate skin in the region can't hold it. So now I have to remove it 😢. Because I'm 41 years old and it has been there for so long, I'm afraid it will get saggy.

I’m hopeful that they can dissolve all of them in areas on my face where I can still feel the fillers 😭

I think you can get an MRI of your head and it'll show where the filler is. Filler will glow and be white in the MRI, actual fat will be black. You'll be able to see exactly what is happening with your filler.

It's called the Tyndall effect. It happens when the filler is infected too superficially. Filler must be injected deep just above the bone. I feel like most people aren't happy with their results because of poor injection techniques.

I believe the initial studies concluding that fillers had to be topped up every 6, 12 or 24 months were misinterpreted. The public is now paying the result for that. Had they done MRI scans with those initial studies, conclusions would have been very different.

hi Susan - I got under eye filler about 6 months ago. What I really needed was lower eye blepharoplasty. I choose to do fillers because there was no down time. I have to say that I really like the fillers and I went to a very skilled facial plastic surgeon. He did a great job and my friends and family agreed. I don't plan on getting any more filler (just this one time). My question is do you think the filler will go away completly. Again, I don't plan on getting anymore fillers and just wondering if this completly go away. Also, I do plan on getting lower eye surgery at some point. Thank you

I'm in the same situation. Instead of surgery I got it done twice over the years... not happy with the results. I still see that I have the filler, but I can also see my big bags. I was thinking of trying a 3rd time... but at this point, I'm thinking I should've saved my money for surgery.

@@dliz4019 yes, I would not get it again, especially if you don't like the look. Also, if you plan on getting a lower blepharoplasty, they may need to remove some of the filler. This is what I am hearing from people who have had filler over and over again and then decide on surgery. My fillers still look great and I do not see any signs of bags/droopy under my eyes yet (keep my fingers crossed, it's not for a while). I hope it all works out.

**I got my filler dissolved** I did a lot of searching about dissolving filler and much like everyone else, theres a lot of scary and bad stories out there. I was really torn on getting my filler dissolved or not but I was confident in my doctor and I took the risk and got it done. I had had filler 4 times in 4 years (2 syringes June 2019 and 2 October 2022). I felt overfilled and puffy and wanted to look "normal" again. If you go to RealSelf its full of terrible reviews but I will say, I think a lot of it is unrealistic expectations. Here me out, before I got filler I took photos of myself so I know exactly how I looked 4 years ago. Getting filler dissolved you have to also understand you will look different in 4 years... I think people dont understand that part. Heres my experience: She pricked me a total of 5 times (3 one eye area, 2 the other) and it burned like hell for a second but then it was over. She didnt massage it or anything (I had other filler I didnt want dissolved yet so she maybe didnt want to spread it). She said it could take 3 days to fully dissolve everything. I had to sign a waiver and that waiver does mention the rumor of it possible dissolving good HA (like all the horror stories but many doctors say it comes back soon after). The day it was dissolve I did feel like it was a little "deflated" looking but I plumped back a couple days later. I might not even had been "deflated" but all the reviews and scary stories prepare you for that affect so maybe I thought it..I am happy with the results. I look different but I am not who I was 4 years ago and I think its approprite for my face/weight/age (29 year old). My under eye veins are more apparent but I mean, theres no filler there to maybe cover them? Regardless, I am happy I took the chance and I will be going back to get all the rest of my filler dissolved about 3 weeks after this was done. If you have questions, I would be happy to help and provide pictures, if needed.

I have lip filler and it swells when I get sick. I would assume that if I had filler in my tear troughs, it would also become swollen when I get sick. Filler is an impant. Our bodies can sometimes recognize it as such when we get sick. I would assume the covid vaccination can cause this swelling as well. I still love my lip filler but I probably will never touch my tear troughs.

Don’t do it. Under eye area is very sensitive and getting fillers and dissolving again and again in a long term will do more harm than good. Look in to other options like fat transfer or PRP
@emionyx1585
@emionyx1585 2 жыл бұрын
@@aileen8492 Fat transfer is more risky actually. It's not very predictable and it can get lumpy. Then you have to do surgery to remove the lumps and it's not easy. I see many surgeons and doctors still recommending fillers as the best technique for tear trough. PRP seems good too but it won't do much for people with deep hollows.

I didnt mind because i didnt like the result, and couldnt stay more days there to add the enzyme day by day by little doses. So i decides to risk it. To sum up, the decision was ok but 7 months later i feel i have more hollow eyes with the eyelid wrinkle (the under line of the eye) turning more noticeable and of course my skin does not have ao much elasticity. Im 32 yra old. I think thats normal but who knows. Of course if i didnt have the filler at the first place, my image of thw under eye would be wayyy better! I harmed myself with that choice. I hope the enzyme is not yet active under my eye. I hear here things like going and melting down the cheeckbones etc...

Ok, so the lip color is beautiful and so is the nail polish. Didn't have a clue you use filler in your lips. I am 50, I can attest aging is not for cowards. Once you start seeing death taking over, the freaking out is real. Won't judge anyone who choose to do fillers and others, but I am way to relax to have a high maintenance lifestyle. I am just trying to die with the least amount of wrinkles while still looking like myself. I am very afraid God is going to have a hard time recognizing people when they die. Like "who are you," "I don't remember creating you," or the worst "aren't you one of the ones I sent to hell." I just don't want to get stuck in limbo. I want him to see me and say "ok, come on in."😄
