Excellent decision! You’ll probably have to change your lifestyle a little bit, buy an electric bike/scooter and some warm clothes. It’ll be worth the savings once you overcome the learning curve of being car-free. If you have an Amtrak in your area, they’re offering 40,000 points if you open a credit card and spend a certain amount of money it. I was partially car-free last year and the Amtrak free miles really helped with my commuting across town. Best of luck

Thanks for watching and commenting. I’ve rented a scooter from Unagi for about 2 years. Initially, it was to get back and forth to the free charging station. Now it’s my primary method of transportation. The building where I work charges $20-30 daily to park a car. My scooter sits under my desk and charges for free. My coworkers used to laugh. They stopped laughing when they received their auto insurance renewals.

Cars are getting way too expensive. I want to get an EV but my ICE minivan works just fine. Maybe when it dies, I will just use my e-bike to get around. My wife still has a car so I could share hers when needed. Thanks for the quick video.

I agree 100%. A car is a depreciating asset. Fir most of us it’s also the second largest purchase we make in our lives. And we do it multiple times. I use a rented scooter, zip car, and car rentals when needed. So much less to think about. For many cars are simply status symbols. Thanks for watching and commenting.
