1. Avoid losing weight too fast (2 to 4 lbs/week) 2. Everything you put in your mouth counts. Include antioxidants, collagen, proteins, vitamin C rich foods 3. Treat your skin well- exfoliate, dry brush, wet brush, massage 4. Moisturize (no hydroxys), good oils help best. No sulfates or harsh chemicals 5. Exercise- cardio and weight training 6. Hydrate!! Drink more water (coconut water is great as well) **I personally wouldn’t drink water before meals and don’t usually drink much during meals either because it dilutes stomach acid which helps digestion. Age, body type and genetics play a huge part in individual results but these tips will definitely help.

At my peak I weighed around 220 pounds and I knew and I had to reduce my weight but I was worried about the loose skin. Upon researching, I understood that I should take it slowly as my goal is to loose weight and take care of my skin. It took me 14 months to reach my goal. I lost 66.1387 pounds and I do not have loose skin. During my journey, I consumed a lot water and vegtables.

I’m losing weight for my health! I’m currently 60 pounds down but I’m about halfway there! I got diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 12/21/18 and lost my ability to walk. MS took away the strength in the lower half of my body and I remember sitting in a wheelchair at 25 thinking to myself that if I was 100 pounds lighter or had more muscle in my legs that maybe I wouldn’t be in this wheelchair. Or using a walker. So when I got released from physical therapy and was 90% better in June 2019, I wasn’t gonna let this opportunity pass me by so I started going to the gym 5 days a week and eating healthy. I’m having a relapse currently so I’m down for the count again but I won’t let it keep me down! I WILL lose this weight!

Rye Ree so proud of you! Funny enough I was actually diagnosed at 24, the day before my 25th birthday 🤣 if a gym is too much right now (like it is for me) you can also do yoga. There is a book called yoga for MS and videos on KZbin to help you get started. We owe it to our bodies to do everything we can to fight this disease. Medicine and doctors can only do so much. I want to know that when I have a relapse that I did everything I could in my power to prepare for it. Good luck to you!!!

Rye Ree thanks girl! It truly is especially as a short person when even I was skinny I felt fat because I was short with a more muscular build so even if i was like 100lbs I would look fatter than the taller irl who actually weighed 30 to even 40 pounds more. And the taller person was seen as more desirable than me...dealt with a lot of self esteem issues because of that and even to this day. Because it's like I work out harder but never get acknowledged for it...trying to do better caring less what others think. The excess fat doesn't make things easier but currently doing INSANITY because I got the best results with that plus walking 10k steps daily and eating LESS sugar, fat and carbs. I don't say NO but will say LESS because at the end of the day, your healthy food changes need to be sustainable as I am learning from a fitness trainer. :)

Autophagy and Autology, both processes help with the excess proteins we call loose skin, and both are helped to be set in motion by proper fasting. Fasting is a lot of different ways of eating/not eating (juice fasting for instance, won't set autophagy in motion, although it does many other nice things.) So you have to investigate the different ways to fast so you aren't defeating yourself. Dr Mindy Pelz has some great videos on this topic.

I was overweight a lot of my life. At 15 I decided to lose weight. Made it to 170 from 220 at the age of 17. At 18, I got hit by a car while riding my back. I went from riding my bike 6 miles daily to none at all. Got really depressed and started eating bad with no exercise. I suffered a concussion. From the age of 18-20 I gained just about 100 pounds. I gained all my weight back PLUS 50 pounds. I turned 21 and decided I needed a change. This past almost year I’ve lost 30 pounds!! I’m at 220 again and I’m turning 22 in June. This WILL be the last time I fight this battle. I will succeed one day. But I’m tryna take it slow. I will get there. Thank you for the loose skin advice!!

I HAD SURGERY IN 09 BUT FOLKS HAVE THE MISCONCEPTION YOU DON'T DO WORK. YOUR EFFORT DETERMINES YOUR SUCCESS. YOU CAN GET SURGERY AND STILL BE FAT REGAIN IT AND IT WAS ALL FOR NOTHING. ITS A LIFESTYLE CHANGE AND LIFETIME COMMITMENT I GOT COMPLACENT IN MY 5TH YEAR AND REGAINED ALL BUT 16LBS I HAD THE GASTRIC BY PASS ITS 1 AND DONE NO REVISION. HARD WORK AND DETERMINATION WAS MY 2ND JOURNEY. I WOULD NOT HOWEVER RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE BECAUSE THE SAME COMMITMENT IS NEEDED BUT SOME ARE TOO FAR THEY HAVE TO. I’ve lost 79 pounds since I was 14. I did it on and off up until I was 17, and that’s when I officially started to drop and keep it off. I started at 230 and I’m now at 151. My goal weight has always been 150, and it’s surreal to finally be here. As much as I wanted it to happen instantly, I’m happy I’ve been taking it slow. I have a lot of extra skin, but I’m young and I really look forward to keeping my current lifestyle and pushing myself further (in a healthy way!) on top of its. I never thought I’d get this far, but I feel so good. I have a lot of time to tighten my skin since I’m young and working out 5 days a week, and I shouldn’t be discouraged by it. It’s a sign I worked incredibly hard to get where I am now and I will be proud of myself for that. I’d rather have the extra skin and feel great instead of having the extra weight and being in constant physical pain like I was.

I am 51. Menopausal, & in a wheelchair. For me, three pounds a month is my goal. I do 2000 steps on a seated cross trainer 4 to 5 days a week, depending on my schedule. Also strength training / stretch bands / adaptive yoga, three times a week. I have used a wheelchair & crutches since birth. I am five ft. tall & was a well muscled size 9/10 at my most in shape. Which for me meant a strong healthy body. I had a severe fall two years ago. Causing muscle / nerve damage. Recovery was long. I was unable to exercise / move for a good portion of a year. I came out of the hospital a size 18. I am now a size 15, or a half size. Slow, & steady wins my race. I am not capable of eating, or burning. The amount of calories someone who walks, is. A byproduct of this slowed down process so far, has been no lose skin. Thumbnail is me, June of 2019. Remember to keep hydrated. Unsweetened tea, flavored seltzer, or water. Don't Drink your calories. Single biggest contribution to my weight loss. In the very beginning. I also limit salt, sugar, & animal fat. Eat a ton of veges, legumes, / unsalted seeds & nuts. avocados / salads. A small amount of whole grains. Lean meat / cheese & bread twice a month. Talk to your Dr. certainly. That said. Unless there is an immediate medical need for rapid weight loss. Starting out slowly. Even if you have 100 pounds to lose. Is better for a healthy, sustained result. You cannot change your habits quickly, or all at once. Small changes can lead to big results. Without leaving you overwhelmed. Stress affects your metabolism. As does alcohol. Above all, move. Increase duration & intensity over time. As your body gets stronger. Also switch it up once in a while. Dance, swim.

I've been saying that for a long time, on the whole, "let your body retract and acclimate." People forget the whole body is a living thing, it's not just you in there...it remembers things that effect it, either in a negative or positive way. Just like your mind is taking notes/recording things you say to yourself that projects your reality... So right on in this video 🥰🥰🥰....always positive self-talk to yourself, and your body will follow, and if you have to physically love yourself first, then your mind will follow. Great video!

I've been watching your videos since about 2010. You are truly an inspiring woman! Thank you so much for sharing with all of us. I've lost 135.6 over the last 15 month. I was diagnosed with Lupus then soon after type 2 diabetes came along. I was placed on a CPAP, I couldn't breathe, my breathing stopped 78 times per night based on a sleep study, I became incontinent, couldn't walk more than a few minutes, couldn't dress myself. I was literally crushing myself alive, my bones and organs couldn't take the heaviness. So, I started to refuse the steroid injections, I weaned off 8 other of the plethora of medications I was prescribed. Yet even seeing my suffering staring her in the face as I grew more I'll with by each visit, my Doctor fought me on stopping these meds that were seriously poisoning my body. Then ultimately she had to finally agree with me as I developed some heart concerns. These were some severe side effects.. I just knew I was at deaths door. Yet, considering that this weight was gained throughout a span of a 16 month period approx. 3 years ago, the weight seems to be falling off as quickly as it was gained. I've not been able to exercise effectively until just a few weeks ago and I think this is why the redundant skin seems relentless. I just keep telling myself I didn't make it this far just to make it this far! Currently with dry brushing, hydration, butter rubs, IMF/autophagy, collagen, and eating an anti inflammatory diet I'm hoping I can overcome. I realize that this is actually a small obstacle. From 352lbs down to 216lbs as off today 🙌 Praise God! I'm hopeful now to be able to stick around to get to grow up my youngest child and prepare her for life....I am SO very grateful for life! #PressOn

Jan 2020 I were 291 lbs. Today July 28th, I am 219lbs. 72 lbs is impressive and the replies I received makes me feel good! I have Spinal Stenosis and my weight is 10 lbs struggling, but it's been over 2 years since my accident on the job. All I have is the elliptical and I struggle doing that! I slowly added a video but no gyms, exercise equipment and I still lost 72 lbs. Now I scrolled and saw this clip, I will listen, I don't want sagging skin! It's a difference between an Excuse and a Reason. I still have a gut at 219, can't see my best friend unless I look into the mirror chin to chest. Ok Warriors make your jokes, ha ha. But extension of neck yes, chin to chest ...No, not yet. My goal is to go past 💯 lbs till the point I have small waist line, and get to about a 36- 34 inch waist! Next Spring or Summer if gyms are open and if I'm strong enough to do the exercises, and shrink skin I will be a show nuff head turner! So if she lost 💯 lbs, I lost 72-73 ish in six months & 3 weeks remember...It's a difference between an Excuse vs a Reason.

I have been taking more care of my skin (exfoliating, moisturizing, massaging, wet brushing, derma-rolling) since I have strawberry legs, stretch marks, and scars that I noticed that started not going away. I wish I saw this video a lot earlier bc I was one of those people that said I’ll commit to taking care of my body once I lose weight and overall ended up neglecting it. Just want to thank you so much for the positivity you spread and reminding everyone to always care of their body’s, even if we’re not happy about the way it is currently. Thank you for the helpful tips and for sharing your journey with us. ❤️

Great information!! I Love your video!!! 🤗 I’m 56 years old and I started my Health & Healing Journey the day I got a call from my primary doctor, she informed me that I had type 2 diabetes in 2016 and she wanted to put me on medication. She agreed to let me try healthy eating for 3 months first and retest me. I reversed my type 2 diabetes in 3 months. I lost 70 pounds by giving up sugar. I ended up looking way too thin for my almost 5‘10“ height. 2018/2019 I started my healing journey from domestic violence and I started turning to what was familiar, sugar. I have gained some weight back but I have never stopped working out. There has been times when I’ve slacked off but I always return to health and fitness. I am now sharing my journey on my channel. I never really had loose skin. I slowly started out walking when I started my journey and light weight lifting, I do most on my workouts in the gym now and I love walking in nature.

I love love love that the first thing you mentioned was that it's not a race to see how fast you can loose the weight, but rather being able to lose little at a time, and practicing healthy habits. It's about the long-term goal of being healthy, not just body, but mind as well. So many people are doing keto diets and all kinds of cleanses and starvation diets, along with these vigorous exercises to lose weight quickly, but don't realize they have to train their mind for the long haul as well.

Dangerous bc it can slow down your metabolism. Unless you honestly plan on keeping it up for the rest of your life it does more damage then good. I gained it all right back and my metabolism is damaged. Now all food seems to cause weight gain even more easily and my energy levels suck. The 2 yrs i stuck to the strict time schedule it was great. As soon as I stopped it’s been hell since : (

Dry brushing is also excellent on this weight loss journey; it helps to rid the body of cellulite and helps w/circulation. There are many videos out there to teach you about dry brush. Thank you for educating me w/this weight loss tips. It's not about rushing, it's about a lifestyle (that's what the word 'diet' actually means) change and being realistic and patient. Much love.

As someone who has lost 200 pounds, the loose skin was tough to begin with because I lost all my weight in a year and a half and have maintained a 20 pound weight range since around 225 to 245. My skin has came back slowly but surely. I have all kinds of pictures so that whenever I forget about how far I've come I just check out my progress and I no longer care about the saggy skin I have left and it's still getting better. The fear of loose skin is just another excuse to not lose weight because it hasn't clicked for you yet. I hope everyone who wants to lose weight does because it's been the best gift I've ever given myself

Yeah but loose skin is unattractive and most of us are losing weight so we can look better to the opposite sex.
@brock3805
@brock3805 3 жыл бұрын
@@lazygam3r183 Your face is always going to be your most attractive feature and rarely has loose skin until you age even with a solid amount of weight loss. Weight loss to a healthy weight will always make your face look significantly better. Besides just in general some loose skin is literally 10x more attractive than an obese body, it’s much less of a deal than you would think to potential partners. People are attracted to health and loose skin doesn’t indicate poor health while fat does.

@@brock3805 I have noticed that the face doesnt get much loose skin, if at all, so I agree with you there. However to me and I'm sure a lot of people loose skin is a major, deal breaking turn off. I couldn't be with a woman with lots of loose skin and I am one of the least picky guys you'll ever meet. Something about smooth tight skin even if that skin is aged some is a must have. That being said being fat is unhealthy and really we should be warning people before they gain weight so they will know the consequences of gaining to much.

@@lazygam3r183 I very much agree with your last sentiment about being warned early in life about weight troubles and I wish with all of my heart that somebody would have sat me down and loved me enough early in life to set me straight but life isn't always perfect. I am currently down 97 pounds out of the total of 130 I would like to lose and I have done this mostly through working a landscaping job 70+ hours a week and eating very healthy. I have become addicted to changing my life's circumstance and because of that I have been saving every penny for potential skin removal surgery and have amassed over $30,000 for full body skin removal but as I am nearing the end of my journey I can see I will more than likely need none of it. I currently have no hanging skin at all and if anything I may need a light tummy tuck at the end but I am confident that I can build up enough muscle in that area to negate any loose skin. Knowing I weighed enough to likely suffer from loose skin scared me enough to not start my weight loss journey for years and it has turned out to be not an issue at all, besides if it is an issue you can have surgery and fix it with relatively minor scarring depending on the severity. I am tall and get a good amount of attention from ladies now at my current weight and I can 100% say that a little loose skin is not a deal breaker for me. Although I agree tight skin is attractive, if a woman has a little hanging skin on her belly or thighs it is 100x more preferable to me than her being obese. I have learned that you cant let things like loose skin stop you from your weight loss journey because so much of the issue is simply in your head and I can confirm it is so so worth it towards the end, I cant imagine how I will feel stepping on that scale and seeing 185 no matter how much loose skin I have. Don't let it stop you my friend, good luck.

@@lazygam3r183 I agree with you 100%. People will always encourage individuals to lose weight and not worry about the loose skin which is nearly impossible. Obviously being Fit with loose skin is much healthier than being overweight ... however like you said most of us are losing weight so that we can be more visually appealing to people. Most of us have gone our entire life being deemed unattractive by most because we were bigger and it is heartbreaking to put all that waiting to end up still being unattractive. It's like getting to the end of your goal and still being disappointed. I'm about to start a weight-loss journey and if I'm being honest with myself, while I am concerned about my health, my main goal is to be fit so that I can be seen as attractive by other people. Some people may see that shallow but it's only human to want to be wanted. My fear about loose skin has always been whats held me back. It's not an "excuse", it's a justified disappointment with me knowing that I will still be displeased with the final result. Me knowing that is the reason why I cannot support the idea of allowing children to be bigger. Most people who are fat adults have been fat since childhood and at some point will ultimately wish that they were fit. People need to keep their children fit and healthy.

Great advice! Perhaps I missed it so forgive me if I did, but I would add the importance of sleep and a regular sleep schedule. I am in the middle of my own weight lose journey from 315 lbs to my now 245 lbs. I am 6'3" and 53 years old. I started 3 years ago. My goal is to get to a six pack, whatever weight that will be is the target. The process is slow but I am changing bad dietary habits I have had throughout my life. Lose skin was always a concern but I am finding that it has not been an issue as of yet.

I hit my highest weight ever, 306 pounds, last June. Over the past 11 months, I have lost 45 pounds and am putting a lot of focus on toning workouts and hydrating. You don't need to lose weight fast.
