Stem/Blade (now) have been a great design for many ears by multiple companies. No need to compare to Apple like they own the design. . I have tested and like my Buds3 Pro to be in their eco, however I'm thinking of returning them and stick with WF-1000XM5, cause they sound better. Always choose the fit that comforts you and not the brand name.

I was a google fanboy because of the early pixels, but I moved to Samsung because of the slow innovation. I just want good products at competitive prices at the end of the day, off brand or major brand.

Samsung likes to put themselves as the alternative to apple... copying them in the end. Worst is that they copy the bad stuff instead of really being different. That's why i don't think i will buy anything from Samsung...and definitely will never buy anything apple.

Great video, Keith. :) I think some people are getting confused between a commentary and a review. If you had been presenting a *review* of the Samsung earbuds, then yeah, I would've expected you to talk about your use of them, to have them in your hand, etc. You don't talk about stuff you don't test personally. But to just talk about a direction Samsung is going in, or the look of the latest earbuds, you don't have to personally own them. You are a fully-sighted person who knows what the earbuds look like.

I've been with a Samsung phone for over 10 years. I always carry 2 phones. I just got the Oneplus 12R a few days ago. The Fold 6 is the same phone for 3 years. I'm probably going to get the Oneplus Open 2. I changed up and started using the Status ANC instead of my regular Samsung Buds. What I'm basically saying is its fine to change things up. Trust me these company doesn't care about you or me. Stop defending them so much. Love your reviews!!

No doubt the Buds 3 and Buds 3 pro look similar but there are benefits to the design. I have the buds 2 pro and some of the short comings is the mic(friends always tell me it's ass), it falls out the case easily, touch controls are not intuitive, stem style seems to fit me better. (I have the EarFun Air S)

I appreciate your videos like this, Keith. Ironically, I've moved away from mostly earbuds to mostly IEMs ( always budget of course 😛) because the sound quality to price ratio is so much better. But as a Soundcore fan, the most annoying thing to me is when reviewers rave about their products and they aren't as good as they are saying. I bought a pair of their "expensive" headphones once and sent them back because I didn't like their sound. After many glowing reviews! I'd rather hear the honest truth so I can be an informed buyer. And I find you provide that. It's much appreciated!

So there are two dynamics at work here (maybe three actually) that can cause the reactions you saw with that video about the new Samsung earbuds - and they're all interwoven in the tech space. 1. Anti-Apple group. As we all know and as crazy as it sounds there are people (I know many of them) who seem to possess a true hate/disdain for anything Apple does. It's as if they've been PERSONALLY offended or harmed by Apple at some point in the past. It's a very unusual and unique trait for the masses to possess, but it's real and there are tons of people like that. Somehow Apple has offended their sensitivity at some point in the past, for whatever reason. This usually manifests itself in terms like 'you are all Apple sheep', 'sheeple' and all the other comically absurd terms we see all the time. AND - this group is usually also made up of the next guys....the: 2. Pro-Samsung group. This is another loud and vocal group of diehard crazies. Yes they may love Samsung, but it's also likely their Samsung Love is really just Apple Hate, rebranded and repurposed. Don't you dare bad-talk their Samsung world. I mean - hey they are PERSONALLY battling against Apple, so how dare you call their devices into question?! You must be loyal to the Samsung Overlords because they're singlehandedly saving the world from The Dreaded Apple Takeover. They're on a holy mission here by gosh. And then to add into that noxious brew we have: 3. The internet in general. Just the weird dynamics of keyboard warriors that we see everyday. The unhinged, the fierce loyalists who will rise up if they detect a hint of less-than-5-stars about their brand. So add all that together and it's big mess of nastiness out there. And your ability to rise above and offer some healing words here is admirable. Let's hope it helps. It won't.

@gamesky all valid points. Thanks to you I've become an Earfun fan, and just need them to make a pair that gives me the functionality to turn the sound down/off when someone is talking to me. As well as the translation function whether on/offline and I'll continue to not trip on getting a pair of Samsung earbuds because I'll never drop over $200 for ANY pair of earbuds when I can count on you showing me the best bang for the buck earbuds for UNDER $100. Keep up the good work!

Name brand products aren't as great as they seem to be. Especially when it comes to earbuds. But Samsung DID spend alot of their time poking fun at competitor products. But they've been doing the same things to their products. Samsung fell off after the 9 and 10 series phone's. I Havent bought any since then. I like Samsung but the Samsung of old.

Yes, design is not very "original", their lineup this year in general. Though it seems like a bit of a bias and not very open perspective: those are stems THUS look like apple and samsung HAS to innovate. I think it is also fair to say that design is just objectively better (since the mics point at your mouth, touch controls are easier), apple made a ("weird design", at least weird 20 years ago) popular, so it seems plausible for others to use as well.

I definitely don't see a problem with Samsung making ear buds with stems. Considering the stems have actual functions. It's called providing options. I think Apple should have non stem buds too. The Samsung ones don't look anything like the Apple ones to me.

So when trying to change different size ear tips, the end broke and I can't swap it out nor can use my right buds 3 pro. The quality control issue is no joke. Samsung support had been horrible still no resolution

After getting the realme buds air 5 pro, i realise that i dont need to spend 200/300 dollars for tws earbuds. 90 dollars is good to go and you can get insane features and good sound quality.

Agree with you. I have the Buds 3 Pro since last week. I walked by the Apple display at Costco and did a double take when I saw the Apple Buds Pro. YES, they look like my Buds 3 Pro. The entire tips things is a clusterfundel for Samsung again!! What I don't like is they are not providing any direction to those of us who already have the tips. I am actually getting tired of these quality control issues. Samsung definitely doesn't give a rat what I say!!!

In complete agreement with you. The fact is that the simple minded just want to feel good and justified about their purchase - to the point that they'll resort to things like name calling or insults. The Buds 3 Pro are silver Airpods; not only did they copy the general physical design, they also copied the control scheme with the pinch + swipe in tow. But in order to not be labelled as an exact 1:1 copy -- they changed things just for the sake of change. The edged "blade" stems are not as ergonomically comfortable as rounded stems. The swipe controls moved to the back of the stem where you're most likely using your thumb to swipe doesn't feel as natural as using your index finger. Having said all that, I'm neither an Apple or Samsung fanboy and I'd be happy to give the Buds 3 Pro a chance if they bring something to the table or do something better than their competition. My priority is sound quality and so far reports are that it isn't better than the prior generation - just different. ANC and transparency improvements look significant though which is great.

As a samsung fan and z fold owner, I will say i agree with gamesky. The new samsung galaxy buds look like air pods. Samsung was definitely known for them being different and having their ear buds without stems. Why don't these companies understand, if we want an apple product we'll buy one, not an apple look alike! These people need to pull their skirts down and stop acting like bitches. I get defending a brand/product but to a point. (quality made, great sound/features, etc.) But if they do something stupid, make something worse, or just give up on what they make because they were behind schedule they need to be called out for everyone to know. Honestly, once you pay your hard earned money for their product they could care less what happens after. They don't know you, they really don't care to know you, and they have your money. I own zero Apple or Samsung products and will never own any of them, for my own reasons. But I can't see defending and brand/product the way some of these people do. Going outside and touching grass moment was great.

I'll be honest, the only issue (slight) that I had with the video was with the click bait title "Samsung Has Big Problem", or something like that. Then in the video you talked about the Buds 3 Pro looking like Airpods. I even made a comment saying that this isn't really a problem to people that are in the market for Samsung (or just Android) compatible earbuds. As I said in that comment, Samsung vs Apple is relevant to those companies, but to most consumers, the biggest competitors to Samsung products aren't Apple. When I bought my S24 Ultra, it wasn't a debate between it or an iPhone. It was more about whether I wanted to go with Samsung, or back with another Pixel, or maybe look at a 1+ option, etc. The same goes for my wife who is an Apple lover....she doesn't consider anything Samsung releases as a competitor when she is shopping for new tech, whether it be earbuds, phones, or watches.

Then you talked about your "initial impressions", and then immediately started talking about your opinion of their decision to go with the stem style designs. You talked about the apple vs samsung designs for a few minutes, and didn't actually get back to the topic of the delay until a couple minutes later in the video (video was only 8:48 long). This kind of made it seem to me at least that part of what "samsung's problem" in your opinion was the design choice, hence my comments about this not really being a problem to consumers in my opinion.

mob mentality stuff is one thing for sure, i will say that i think theres a problem with tech reviewer homogenization that has this weird thing of only talking up notable brands without much of any research into others like you can only talk about sony, apple, samsung, bose or jabra (rip) without exploring like anything out of that range, especially with how expensive they are and how pairs from upcoming or emerging brands are left in the dust like variety in life is the key vs catering to a crowd that wants confirmation bias, be true to yourself vs systems that be that being said, gamesky, please try out the samsung galaxy buds fe, especially at 50-60 bucks on sale, they sound really good and are a good allrounder, they are tuned differently than the regular buds

I seen your last 2 earbuds review of QCY and OnePlus Nord, you didn't seem to overly dwell on the fact they are stem style like Apple. I also seen your rabbit r1 review, seem like your are ok with releasing unfinished product. Please be consistent and try to tune down your overly favorable bias when making video.

I try to look at every product from a value standpoint. I don't have an issue with stem style earbuds like I used to. My argument with Samsung doing it is because of how much they are an anti-Apple company yet they are more or less duplicating the design of Apple's earbuds...their main competitor. Also, the Rabbit R1 is a product that was advertised as being a product that needs time to learn. I watched the whole keynote on it and they explained that so I had a good understanding of what the Rabbit is/will be. It is built around AI, which is a model that is constantly learning. I never understand the "I used to love your channel" comment when you obviously are still watching. I have stayed very consistent in how I approach the products I review/talk about

Actually it's the fandroid warriors always doing this. They don't want to accept the fact that android is copying Apple's design. Some of those hater didn't even purchase galaxy buds hence the difference in sales
