Why I don't Listen to Secular Music Anymore

Hello Kingdom of God Seeker!
I wanted to share my personal conviction of discontinuing listening to secular music. As being a follower of Christ its very important for me to deny the pleasures of self and secular music was a big one for me. I idolized some artists which is a Big No No! But God………. 💖
Please take note, some top artist are practicing whitchcraft, use the concerts for ritual purposes and sacrifices. As a follower of Christ, Im sounding the alarm to proceed with caution, pray and ask God to reveal the truth to you personally. Research their lyrics (some songs are actual spells) and their fruit (fruits of the flesh). Guard your gates to your souls; ear gate, eye gate, mouth gate! Your soul is precious and worth purifying to be spot and blemish free for the Kindgdom of God! 💖
In this season that we are living in the Spiritual battle is intense and you want to listen to music that points to God. We dont have time to be lukewarm and straddle the fence. The enemy will use any opportunity to sneak in and attack! Stay alert and sober minded.
Check the fruit of secular artist and even Christian artists and then ask if you want to align with them. Bad fruit corrupts good fruit

Totally agree - when I became to have my personal relationship with Christ I also knew how bad it was & oooh how I did not want my children listening to that - I was also convicted - & now I listen to any kinds of Christian music & it also helps us to stay strong in a very dark world- & hearing it almost brings me back to my old ways of thinking that I don’t like- so I too don’t listen or go back to that music- I love hearing Christian music & the beautiful messages it gives - God talks to us all the time for we have the Holy Spirit to guide us in the way we are to be & walk with Christ

Its so wonderful when we move closer and closer to Light that the desires of this world just irritate our souls. I'm soooo grateful for the Holy Spirit guiding our way to be more Christ like! Something about that "personal relationship," that just does something beautiful

Congratulations! I made a new year's resolution to give up secular music this year (2024) and have stuck with it. It was difficult at first, but I stuck with it and I will never EVER go back to secular music ever again. I can finally say that I hate it. I gave it up because I gave up atheism last year and heard of the challenge to give up secular music for a month. So I took the challenge and passed it and wanted to try it for a year. But as I went through the months, I realized I'm done with it forever. Because of the realization you did. The more I explored secular artists, the more ungodly I realized they all are. Thank God you made the same realization that I did. God bless!
