Sunshine is my favorite Mario game so I should of known better, but i thought you were referring to some sort of glitch that had a super low chance to occur which would make king boo's texture blue or something. So i can see why people would get confused, they wouldnt think it was 'official' but some sort of cool rng dependent glitch you were trying to show off.

As someone who mainly speedruns ILs and has spent 50+ hours on a single IL, I loved this video. Gambler's fallacy is real, you will inevitably try to find new strats and fail at some point in your journey, and you get so bored at some points you do stuff like name the different cycles. The entire video was exceptionally edited too. You got a new sub from me!

Watching this video was bittersweet. It caused me to reminisce about the many months I spent watching you grind King Boo. Despite the pain you experienced, you always brought a smile to my face. Very entertaining video to watch. Glad that you chose some clips with cycle skips, some when bad things happened, and some when nothing happened. Really encapsulates the vibe of an IL stream if you have never seen one before. Mostly inane conversations/references with chat and then from nowhere suddenly "the run" happens. RTA runs last longer than ILs and since you typically have splits even someone who has never even played the game before can tell if "this is the run," meanwhile in ILs, especially if the game doesn't have an IGT you can't even tell what is happening unless you have enough knowledge to obtain the time yourself and you are paying full attention to the gameplay. The way I summarize this is: Chat during RTA WR pace: "this is the run!" "hi youtube!" Chat during IL WR pace: "do yall put parmesan on your spaghetti? ... oh gg"

It’s hysterical that during 49:23, when Trey got the Coin/Question Mark/Fruit slot roll twice in a row, that’s technically the same odds as double cycle skip - it’s the odds of one specific slot consecutively (1/64^2). And who says Trey isn’t lucky lol
