I have a manual Hellcat and never once did I ever think of getting an automatic. Not even a nano second. Who cares if they are slower than automatics. I care about me and my life and my enjoyment. We pay alot of money for our cars.

Florida Maddogg Actually there isn’t anymore those days are over if you would bother to look up statistics you would know there’s a higher percent of autos sold than manuals and that number keeps getting higher and higher and trust me I would much rather drive my manual 2006 gt over my 2018 10 speed but when I go to the track the auto is the car I’m sticking with performance is everything to me.

Devise I thought of buying the 2018 10 speed automatic and test drove it. I have to admit it is fast but since I don’t intend to race or go to the track decided to buy the 6 speed manual. Those extra tenths of a second don’t matter to me. When I’m coming to a stop and downshift and let off the gas that exhaust puts a big smile on my face. And when I’m driving on winding roads I am really driving that six speed manual.

@guess what The Nissan GT-R was made to be as good of a track day car as it could be while still being a comfortable road car. I never said that autos can't change gear any faster, however I did say there's no point in choosing a car such as a mustang based on a few tenths of a second. The GT-R is just a toy for track days mostly, mustangs are meant for some cheap, rear wheel drive fun. It's foolish to choose a fun car based on a few tenths of a second. Also, Lamborghini are making cars exclusively for rich people, rich people don't want to use a Lamborghini clutch while driving around showing off (which is exactly what they're for, "Lambo's" are just a fashion accessory) Not to mention that none of these cars are comparable to a mustang.

If you're more concerned about WINNING races you get an auto, if you want to enjoy the "driver" experience you go for the manual. Nothing wrong with either, just depends on preference/importance. I drive auto.

You probably never sat for 14 hours going inches during a hurricane mandatory evacuation driving a 5-speed. That's how long it took to go from my house (halfway between Houston and Galveston) to Intercontinental Airport on the north side of Houston.(49 miles took 14hrs in a manual.)

I saw the Mustang I wanted on a local dealer's website for a good price. It had everything I wanted: paint color, black rims(performance pack), and it was gt. I got into my car to go buy it, but I forgot to check if it was a manual, so i checked the website again before leaving and, as I had hoped, it was manual! So I went and bought that bitch and I love it! If it was automatic, I wouldn't have bought it.

I agree with my mind changed on manuals when I sat in 14-hour traffic during a hurricane evacuation that was mandatory. Once you do that one time you don't ever want to run that chance again. It was the worst 14 hours I've ever had. I just got a 22' GT Premium and I chose the 10 speed and am so glad I did. You can't get the drive selection modes on the manual

Couldn’t have said it any better. I have a 2017 GT with a manual tranny and I can honestly say I didn’t even consider getting an automatic. These cars are much more fun to drive with a MT. Btw, love the vids man

Those 2017 manual transmissions are way better than the 2018-19 6-speeds. Stronger forks and way better gear spread with 5th gear being 1:1

Totally agree with you! The best decision I made was getting a 6 speed Dodge Challenger (5.7 ... I wish I would have gotten the 392). Again congrats on the new car and getting what you wanted!

Just purchased a '19 GT PP1 manual and absolutely love it. I know automatic is faster, but I felt no connection when driving it. The manual is an absolute pleasure to drive.

I never drove a manual before and got a 2019 Mustang GT in manual, because my buddy’s are big into cars and they let me practice on their cars. So glad I didn’t get an auto! I literally just will drive my car for hours on end, can’t say the same if I got an auto.

Man I went in today to buy a hellcat and they had zero manual widebody hellcats in the southeast. The guy at the dealer swore up and down that there’s no need for manuals and that manuals are slow. I just kindly showed him my race against a 392 8speed and he had zero to say after that. Then he said well it all comes down to the driver. Manual 4 life. I respect the autos as well. And don’t be worried about the forks breaking because you have your SRT to drive. My forks broke and it’s been 25 days but remember I beat the shhhhhhhhhhit out of my car and did waaaaaaaay too many redline shifts. When it broke I had 30,000 miles of very hard driving and redline shifting. So as long as you don’t drive like me yours shouldn’t break. And as I said even if it does you have your SRT. Plus not all the 2018s have the same problem.

I sold my 15 GT for 17 scatpack. Yes I love you car but I miss the shit out of driving a stick and yes the mustang sound is way better than my scatpack. Yes I do have the muffler delete on the scatpack and had 3 different exhaust setups on the mustang. I’ll be back! One more year!

.....and driving a manual has something to do with driving craftsmanship as you would say so. Because on a automatic you can put an ape on the drivers seat and he could drive it. And on 0-60 mhp or here in Europe 0-100km/h with the auto tm you put the foot down and wait what comes up and that´s it. With a stick shift you got to have skills for a good result !!!
