Personally, I don't think she's "being hypocritical" or "going back on her fat positivity message" just because she got lipo. I really do believe she loved the way she looked before. Just because you're confident in your body doesn't mean you wouldn't change some things about it. I got full body lipo in the middle east, I got my arms, back fat, hips, stomach, thighs and knees and double chin done. I was 154 pounds and even though i wasnt fat per say, I was just not happy with the way my body was. I wanted to do my ass but the dr said since he took out all around my waist, that i had an ass under all the fat lmao. I counted calories, track all my good and exercise 4 days a week. I didnt get any stitches or drains, literally i had bandages over the wounds and would get them changed every day, and I had to fly 16 hours back home. It was the best thing i ever did honestly. Lipo isnt a fat sucker instant results, lipo takes out maybe 7 pounds, I lost 17 pounds ON MY OWN. Lipo is the best

I lost 70 pounds 3 years ago, I work out consistently, run, walk an hour every single day, and even maintain discipline when I travel (last year Italy, had only one plate of pasta while everyone didn't give a fuck and indulged in it every chance they got) I do cardio AND strength training, and at 5'0 I STILL look heavy due to the excess lose skin hanging on my thighs, it is one of my absolute biggest insecurities and 3 years later I finally decided to go under the knife and get it removed once and for all. I even decided to lipo the disgusting belly pooch I have hanging which is also almost impossible to get rid of with diet and exercise alone. None of you have the authority to judge ANYONE on this planet regardless of their health habits. I have close friends judging me but they have NO IDEA what it feels like to work your ass off and still not have the body you want, they don't walk around in grandma thighs (not offending anyone, but that's how I truly feel with my thigh fat) so if Trisha felt the need to lipo without even trying, then let her fucking do so, if she wants to eat 10,000 calories like a boss and not work out or live a healthy life-then LET HER FUCKING DO SO, who the fuck are any of you humanoids to tell her whats up? #YouChooseYOUROWNLife

Trisha has the money and resources to make lifestyle changes and be educated on health and fitness but she resorts to surgery because it's easier and besides recovery requires no effort to make an actual change. If she doesn't make a real change in diet and exercise she'll go back to looking the way she did before. That being said I do hope she makes a real change not only for aesthetic purposes but for health purposes as well. Also it's discouraging to people that don't have the money to have this "jump start" as she calls it, to the people that work their asses off and deal with slow results no matter how much work they put it. You do realise that liposuction is a quick fix right? If you don't maintain a healthy diet you will gain it all back within a few months. It's essentially sucking out excess fat. Which means no more Mukbangs or unhealthy eating if you want to stay in shape. Liposuction was initially invented for skinny fat people, say people whom are in average weight yet have excess belly flab and cannot rid it through exercise. It's generally not a procedure done to remove overall weight on a overweight person. I don't know why surgeons don't make that clear to patients because they end up becoming fat again. Most surgeons just want the money and don't care about telling you if you don't keep on a very strict diet you will gain it all back. Strict diet means cutting out junk food, carbs, fizzy drinks and vegetable meal replacements with daily exercise.

What's even worse is if you gain it back it will be gained back disproportionately. Your arms might be much bigger than your legs. Since she has had her stomach done the fat deposits would go elsewhere on the body apart from the stomach. Anyone who has had lipo has to be extremely careful with weight gain, you essentially can't gain weight ever again. Why doesn't she educate herself on these matters? It's common knowledge Trisha you don't even need a medicine degree to realise that. Honestly I do genuinely like you, but if you were wise you would have realised this was a foolish move, especially knowing that you binge eat and end up gaining loads of weight over a short period of time. I am not saying anything is wrong with surgery, it's fine if you want it, but you need to know what you are getting yourself into and whether you can handle it. Surgeons won't give a rats ass in explaining this to you, plastic surgeons are funded privately opposed to other doctors, they really don't care at all in telling you the details. The level of consent is different with plastic surgeons, because a patient choses out of their own will to get it done opposed to having a tumour removed or something which the state recommends/choses and thus has to explain the full details. Of course they won't tell you everything. In the medical world it's common for other doctors to think plastic surgeons are dodgy people (lool). Honestly please just look after yourself now you have done it, otherwise it's not something you can fix easily.

okay guys yes, it is ironic that she puts out a music video called Thick and then gets liposuction. But fam it doesn't really matter, it's her body, she can do whatever the hell she wants to do to be happy with her body. There's nothing wrong with making a video about being thick and then taking steps to be skinny. You should be happy in either skin as long as you are healthy. Being confident in yourself as a person day to day is different from saying "i don't ever need to improve". You should always strive for improvement whether its with your job, body, mental health. The reason why liposuction is considered lazy is because it is. You can't naturally enlarge your breasts or lips. But you CAN work out to lose weight. Instead of you being open to a strict diet and consistently working out, you decided to go to the doctor's to have it sucked out of you. That is the EPITOME of laziness.

sometimes you need something to help your motivation to lose weight, sometimes when you have a lot of extra weight it'll take months or years to burn it down with barely any results so a lipo would just help jumpstart and you continue to finish the rest by yourself.

The only thing I have a problem with is the fact that Trish is like a "spokesperson" for being a thick girl to her fans and promoting how confident she is with her size but now she got surgery to get rid of her "thickness" which is kind of sending a bad message to the thick people out there that looked up to her for being herself and showing that a woman of her size can be successful. Trisha oh my god. I know you won't read this. But if you're struggling with body image issues at age seven, it doesn't mean there is anything wrong with you. You are fine. The only thing that needs to change is the way you see yourself. And I don't know the details, but unless you are at a weight that is high enough to cause potential medical problems, you are fine. And if you plan to go down to be healthy, remember that there is a limit that your body can reach. You were born to be who you are. its easy for people to say 'just eat right and exercise' when you've been fat since you where young its hard to imagine yourself at anything smaller then what you look like. I personally have been fat since I was young, I was never a skinny kid and it just continued to grow especially when I moved house and didn't have any friends which is when I put a LOAD on. when I decided to lose weight I lost a stone within a couple months then nothing else and when you've always been fat its easy to just give up and act like you accept that youre always going to be fat and the weight piles back on until maybe a year later and the cicle continues. if lipo is going to help completely kickstart a new lifestyle then why shouldn't people get it.

I've always been a bigger girl mostly because my grandma raised me and she didn't teach me how to take care of my body so she just fed me and fed me until I felt like a monster. It eventually got worse when I moved schools and didn't have many friends and started to eat more to feel better about myself. If I had the money to do stuff like Trish then I would absolutely take advantage of it. I'm proud of her for being so honest about it

Melissa Marie you can't really be a role model for someone who's overweight/obese, yeah be confident and love yourself with who you are now but it's just glamourising being unhealthy. It's like saying that the catwalk models are role models for being underweight it's not a healthy mindset everyone should be encouraging getting your body healthier and not just saying 'yeah love yourself and never improve your life because you love yourself now' a lot of these people may be 'healthy' now but suffer from diabetes or heart problems in the future.

Null Null I can't even blame my mum, I was just greedy and started getting snacks when everyone went to bed which then obviously stretched my stomach and I continued to eat and eat, didn't help that I never left the house except for school because as I said I moved away from all my friends ( only about 20 mins away but still far for a 7 y/o). I can't even say to people I'm fat and I want to change because they act like it's a swear word just because I don't look nearly obese with the way my fat is spread throughout my body

I might be alone in this but I'm seriously thinking she is doing these elective surgeries to feed her pill addiction rather than her just wanting to modify her body. She's addicted to pills but also addicted to things that she knows will grant her access to the pills. She even acknowledges how hypocritical it is to be "Body Positive/Embrace your fatty girl self" but then run to get plastic surgery to take away or "fix" things she doesn't like about her body. She's aware of how backwards this is but still tries rationalizing why she is doing it.
