Not a pompous or arrogant tangent or rant at all. I feel like this was the most important 14 minutes I've given to KZbin in a while. I actually like channels that completely randomly release a video...especially when the content is extra good because of it. Singletrack Sampler comes to mind. Who knows when he will upload a video, but most of the time the content is great. Life is short. Do whatever you need to do to enjoy it to the fullest.

I can tell by the high production value in the way you've always made your videos that you're a very meticulous person, which 90% of the time is a huge asset. The problem is that it's not always easy to turn that off when being perfect with everything isn't necessary. Doing a video is a lot of work, especially the way you do it, with several camera angles, lots of tight editing, good lighting, music, sound, everything. If going for a ride is messed up by that, then going for a ride isn't much fun, which defeats the purpose. If you want to keep doing videos, consider doing just one per month, and/or join up with others you know like Matty Johnson and share the burden of filming and editing a ride and reviewing products. He can review the product and give you the video from his channel which you can "feature" and add your own two cents at the end, which is simpler and the folks sending the stuff will appreciate. They're just looking for word of mouth anyway. Find a way to make it fun again, and if it's not fun, just leave the camera at home. Remember, BIKES ARE FUN!!!

Glad you came thru it and are feeling yourself again and I couldn't agree more about forgetting about the hustle - do what makes you happy not what the system is telling you you should be doing, because that system is constructed to wring every last drop out of you for the benefit of someone else.

My brother in law attempted suicide a few times in 2020 and unfortunately suceeded in 2021. My grandma passed away in 2020 as well. I also had heart issues and was dealing with that as well. It sounds like life really wants to test us these past few years. Hopefully you are making progress towards keeping your mental health a priority. My only recourse for all this bs is that happiness is not the only goal in life nor should it be the default. We have all these emotions and it is okay to feel mad, sad, or glad.

Good video! I'm hoping the turmoil of the last few years will finally get society to appreciate the importance of mental health. The analogy of the injured athlete is spot on. BTW, I know the algorithm prefers regular content, but I personally prefer quality over quantity. Random videos delivered at random intervals will still show up in my Subscriptions list. I also have people I haven't talked to in a while and should probably work on that.

Heart Block/stop depending on where ya from is not anything that will kill yeah. More so an uncomfortable thing that happens few seconds and sucks. Had it for 20 years now. I know people will look at that comment as WTF. Honestly I say it as a person had to deal with it for years now. Many don't realize fear you get over it and when you realize it's not deadly it's not so hard to deal with. Even with that said! I would hope ya come back some time make more videos one day when your up to it! I use to enjoy watching them! Wish ya the best of luck with everything man! Can't take back the past only move forward with life and make the best of things to come!

I went through a issue. With my health. Being I help people with mental illness and addiction I understood what was going on but being I can help some one else I did not help myself. When I had learn to speak about what I was feeling it became better in life and myself. And I was at my worse I had to relearn how to walk and even feed myself. In rehab I had to climb 8 steps I could not. A nun told me the pain is getting to the top your passion will get you to the top so I know about a brain tumor….. so me I am a motivational apeaker as well. And you are correct people with any mental health. Your afraid to speak because you’ll be out casted. I help people because someone helped me. Stay strong. And just remember to speak how you feel. ..I’ll be there for ya

Just discovered your channel, only to discover your loss. I can empathise. I've lost my grandparents and I lost my mum, dad and my sister a few years back. It's tough. Look after yourself.

Not everybody loves consistancy. What ever is interesting is interesting... In the moment. BTW... You are are an interesring person that express your self in a nice and coherent way about interesting stuff... And what is on your mind. Looking forward to when you feel like releasing a new video and enjoy doing that. Enjoying life it seams is the thing to do with your days... So...please do so.

Hey, first off sorry for your lost.. Welcome to the sleep apnea club, it sucks I know but its growing more and more lol. I've been watching you for over a year now, I was first interested in getting a giant talon but then got interested in a Vitus, I ended up getting a northrock fat bike from Costco (funny how that worked out lol), I'm still looking at the Vitus nucleus vrs 29.. Anyhow do whatever brings less stress to your life, be well and happy as can be..

How’s the heart doing now? Hopefully at least you’re able to still get out and ride. I’m going through something similar. So far we have figured out it is going in and out of A-fib. More testing to figure what’s causing it but for now it’s under control with meds. Anyway between that, an injury, and getting covid, I haven’t ridden in a month. Anyway, I know better days are coming and I hope the same is true for you.

Prayer sent. Oh, yeah. Nutrition is powerful. Look into keto, intermittent and long term fasting, maybe even carnivore diet. I'm down more than 20 pounds and feel so good both physically and mentally. Healing has accelerated.

That heartburn issue is no joke when it really hits you. Relieving to get that results from doctors, but a mind screw.

I think we can all understand taking a break after the world kicks you in the nuts several times. I hope your health issues get sorted out soon. Taking care of ones body and mind surely doesn’t get easier as one gets older.

What did you do about the Sleep Apnea? Many of us have it and surgery is something we should try to avoid. Thanks much. Without good sleep nothing works right.
