Why I HATE One Piece, featuring Monster Hunter

Completely agree. I've had several friends talk about one piece back then before Wano and always get invited to watch it. Feels kinda like a cult or a networking thing now. I started watching it and only found the Nami's and Robin's arc decent. Beyond that, it was just lame.. I couldn't take the characters seriously because of their personality and their devil fruit powers? I can't believe this anime got into the big 3, but if I were to rate the big 3 it would be Bleach=>Naruto>OnePiece.

Toei, the people who animate One Piece, have been doing this thing forever: they make one popular, seminal show, and they give it a billion episodes and wear it out for several years of runtime. They did it with Captain Harlock and Galaxy Express 999 in the ‘70s, they did it with Fist of the North Star in the ‘80s and Dragon Ball in the ‘80s and ‘90s. They’re doing it with One Piece. The only show I’ll defend their bloating of is ‘90s Sailor Moon, but then, I’m a diehard, biased fan of that show. 😅. Even I’ll admit that the formula was getting stale after the third season, though, and the last two seasons were kind of mediocre to terrible, but you can’t tell other fans I said that. 😂 I don’t know anything about the One Piece manga, but maybe I’ll watch the show one day just because a few old-school voice actors I like who haven’t retired yet are on there - the Japanese cast seems to be a senior living center of old-school legendary seiyuu. 😂

So you only like story's if you can get through them in a few days lol one piece is great if you look into the story but it requires time you either don't have or don't think you have but I'm going with the second one cuz you watched it all and read it all but you can also make a hate vid lol so tldr your super inpatient so you can't get into any lore and call it bad.

@arsans_ implications don't exist then? From what I heard, you don't like the characters because of their quirks and don't acknowledge any of their growth in the story. You never had a full grasp of it cuz you watched it in section and also no hate because everyone is entitled to there own option so if this is how you feel I'm not gonna put a curse on your new born or something lol

@@tylerkennedy1341 If I get 1 dollar or 100 dollars added to my bank account, my bank account still grows. Just because a character grows doesn’t mean their growth affected things much. I find that even through whatever growth they have, their characters end up relying on their quirky nature anyways. Yes, implications exist, however you haven’t pointed any of them out. An implication is not the same as an assumption. Though I suppose, there are many things I’ve left out in the video which understandably leads to something like this. I would make another video on some more thorough dislikes I have with One Piece if you’re interested. I’d love to answer your questions however doing so in a long comment isn’t very conducive to understanding.

@arsans_ i get that and I've always loved the show even with the ungodly amount of filler and the plot holes but the time I've spent looking at everything definitely makes me a bit biased

Did you not like, connect with any character? Sure the pacing is the shittest thing in the universe but that gives time for character interactions which are always really well done and fleshed out

@@fluffy624 Nah not really. I couldn’t take things seriously when most characters feel like 80% filler, 20% actual character development. You can take Chopper who develops as a doctor for like 3 seconds and then he is just a dumb animal the rest of the time. You have Usopp who does nothing but cry like an annoying kid for pretty much all of pre timeskip and then they force the whole God Usopp thing feels so forced. I could go on. It’s hard to like the characters when everything is played for jokes. A perfect example of what One Piece could (and should) be is the One Piece fan letter. You cannot tell me that what One Piece does in terms of building the characters or world is anything CLOSE to what they did for the fan letter. I could go on but I feel like it’d be better if I made another video on the topic. Let me know if you’d like that.

I dislike one piece solely for the downward spiral the writing and drawing quality has been on ever since the timeskip pre timeskip was pure peakery

@BreezyPotato27 not only this but characters had weight because oda wasnt introducing so many of them just to make them irrelevant 30 chapters later. Most strawhats post ts are pretty much cardboard cutouts

I watched One Piece like 100+ eps but never liked it, I just HATE some of the characters Luffy not one but mid in my opinion but funny and similar to Goku and the story like the vid said is just boring and I personally just don't like it but I do like Demon Slayer and some others
