Why I Hate Scrambles.

I agree - two groups have to play together to "protect the field". If you remember on the Mr. Short Game podcast, they said they saved a final throw on the last hole, when they screwed up an earlier hole. And earlier the used two throws on one hole in order to get the Ace on the par 4. So they totally maximized their throws and mulligans. It is total BS. And as you mentioned they all took off, and were pissed off when someone taped them in the parking lot.

The last scramble i played.... I posted a hole in 1 on every hole for a score of 18.

Why would u get angry at people for using the rules in a scramble? What's wrong with them using their intelligence and using their throws to their advantage . What was scored under those rules is 100% possible . It's a 54 without the throws which again is extremely possible with 8 total mulligans . If u wanna get angry at the rules than fine but to get angry at people u don't know with silly facts is just silly

Scambles always confused me. I would love to see a more consistent and fair rule set.

It does seem like every single course has their own variation on the rules of it. Which can make scoring get very odd very quickly. For instance prior to the controversy regarding the 45. I had never heard of throws or rope before. Hahaha.

I love when people get irate enough to make a KZbin video about unwritten, untold, not agreed upon rules being broken. I don’t think the definition of a rule means what you think it means, spirit of the game isn’t a rule, it’s a bucket of poop that complainers eat out of

Anytime a scramble is won by more than 2 shots....it's seems kinda SUS.

It’s a charity scramble. Who cares….. mulligans, throws, ropes magic dice. all BS. It’s not golf. It’s drinking and fun times. Everybody cheats in shambles. There is NO SPIRIT of the GAME. All those mulligans etc were paid for and the cash went to charity. Who cares. They won $50.00. Think about that. They won $50.00 and it cost them double that or more. They lost money. It’s not about winning or the score, it’s about charity.
