The juice is not worth the squeeze. Has been that way for decades. Simple as that. The sex and companionship are not worth the massive expenditure of time, energy and money involved in dating modern women. As men age things like peace, quiet and financial security for retirement become more important than moments of wet friction and the chaos that comes with that. Get a dog if you really need companionship and take care of your own needs for the other (or hire a professional). Whatever works for you. Keep your time, sanity and cash.

Yet, the SW isn't feeling it but, for the time being, she enjoys the new attention. But, after the novelty wears off, she knows she can do better. And she does. And your best wasn't good enough. Yup, I checked out of marriage at 30 and out of dating at 40. Fortunately, no children were ever produced. The amount of nonsense just isn't worth the time and effort. To the young guys who might read this, it doesn't get any better as women age. Their expectations of older women are far higher, and what they have to offer is far lower.

That goes both ways. There are a lot of women that don't want to date anymore either. Me, I've been divorced 40+ years as he was a terrible husband and father and now on his 3rd marriage. Not everyone is the same and you shouldn't let anyone pay for someone else's mistakes BUT when your in some kind of relationship, ONE RED FLAG, get rid of them because forgiving them they will do it again. It seems that appreciation turns into taking advantage of you if they get that second chance. Better to each have their own place so that these quirks don't get on your nerves and when they do you have your own place to go back to.

Women giving up dating because they are all chasing the chads and all he does is pump and dump. Older women still find average men invisible. Just the other day for thanksgiving I got invited to a small gathering. There was a single mom there. I heard her complain that she got invited to a church dance and he pretty much ignored her most of the time. While me being single I was romantically invisible to her. Not saying I’d be interested although she wasn’t bad looking but the fact that we both were the only two single people there, I was pretty much not on her radar whatsoever. Never even tried to engage in conversation with me

I’m 57, divorced after a miserable 10 year marriage. Totally turned off by 99% of women out there today of any age. Id date again but I’m looking at it the way the average female does now….have a big checklist and every box needs to be checked off or it’s not happening. And no I don’t expect anything either I’ve accepted I’m on my own till I die. I’ve become at peace with my dog and cats as my company.
