Great video it’s been 3 years since you uploaded this video are you still using the iPad?

Very glad i saw this before purchasing the mini, my main function is photo editing plus note taking/organising. Thankyou, i think the air sounds a better choice.

Regarding pens, i read somewhere the 1st one is better, could you confirm this and wether a paperesque overlay is useful or does it change the look of the screen?

Great video,I also bought an iPad for similar purposes. I too was very tempted by the air 4 and nearly bought it new. However I saw on the apple store they had a 2020 iPad Pro for the same price. This has a better screen and twice the base storage. I’m chuffed with my decision, plus it feel great buying refurbished products 🌎

Just returned my Mini 6, really too small for photo editing using Lightroom mobile, the menu take too much space one the screen. For half of the price I took a Xiaomi Pad 5 with the Pencil, it's awesome.

Too small for photo editing AND too small to read. The texts are really too small for my eyes. I will take a simple ipad 9 for editing and second screen in travel.

It sounds like what you were really looking for was the M1 iPad Pro if you take the display into count. I originally wanted to get the Air 4 to replace my ageing (and broken display) Ipad Pro 9” model. When looking at the options, I had the choice of saving money (that could be one reason you may have discounted the M1 models) and buying the Air 4, or buying a reduced price 2020 iPad Pro or biting the bullet and going for the base model M1 iPad Pro 11” model. I at first decided upon getting the 2020 iPad pro 11” as it was priced at the base model M1 (the 2020 model was a 512Gb model against the M1 128Gb) price, a really good saving but I ended up deciding on the 128Gb M1 iPad Pro as I wanted to future-proof my iPad as I wouldn't be able to replace my iPad in the future... This probably would be my last upgrade. I'm glad I chose it but, I do have to say it's handicapped by iOS as this processor is far too powerful for the OS. Overall, I think you made the right choice going for the Air over the mini... The mini is nice, powerful and compact but it's overpriced for what you get in data... Why oh why is it handicapped by giving it 64Gb Apple?

But the ipad air 4 starts at 64 gb too though...
@macjim3 жыл бұрын
@@elijahtrenton8351 true, but the Air has a larger screen for editing photos on... 64Gb is a paltry amount of space, the bare minimum should be 128Gb on any iPad.
@andrepel3 жыл бұрын
yep! the pro wouldve been great but as you said i went with the air to save some money. 64gb is pretty sad but i transfer everything to a hard drive or ssd so its okay :)

Hi , can I transfer raw files on this device? Like connecting my camera or do I need a card reader? Thank you.
@andrepel3 жыл бұрын
i've not tried directly from the camera, but i've used a dongle or adapter and it works :)

Hey, I might have missed it in another video but I wanted to ask: do you shoot in RAW or Jpeg? I'm asking because you're using lightroom which is known to not be as good for fuji RAW files as Capture One 🙂
@andrepel3 жыл бұрын
i shoot raw now :). although capture one is a better raw processor i don't find lightroom to be bad in the slightest. i think both do a great job; i still use lightroom only when i want to edit on the ipad since capture one's mobile app isn't out yet

What kind of screen protector do you use for your air 4?

if you edit on the ipad, then transfer files to continue editing on a windows pc is there any issues transferring your catalogue?
@andrepel3 жыл бұрын
lightroom on mobile has an automatic sync feature! so i just do my edits on the ipad and then when i go to my pc, i export them there. so far i haven't had issues! i only export on the ipad if i want to share the photos somewhere :)
