Okay, they're completely different guitars, not just pickups, but those Lambertrons don't have NEAR the sparkle and shiny top that the Filtertrons do.

I gotta say I’ve morphed into a Gretsch player. It started with a 5420 that saw a little bit of action along with my tele and Musicman. But it was definitely not replacing either. Now I have a Black Lacquer Setzer Nashville. Game changer for me. The tele hangs on the wall now with my EBMM Valentine. Both are pretty to look at, but usage for both is way down. I think it’s a combination of feeling the hollow body resonating and the scale length.. And just absolute playability for me. Gotta love having options!

Great video. Which profile is in the video? The link seems to go to your homepage. Thanks for the help.

If it's not too much you should start adding little onscreen notes for whatever profile you're playing in the intros. That thing sounds freaking great. EDIT: nvm, I full screened and was able to read the screen on the kemper lol.

Needed some "wash" for a song at Easter service yesterday (Kemper Stage) and remembered Soozescapes I got for FREE from Tone Junkie and used the Cloud #3 stomp and it worked perfect for the song and everybody loved it... Thanks so much TJ for taking care of us Sunday players!

About a year or so ago TJ had a video about reverb / delay and all of Sooze's settings were given in a link for free. they called it soozescapes. I'm sure its still up@@turquan

I wis I could connect with Gretsch guitars but I just can’t. The semi hollows just feel plastic like to me. I have been thinking about getting a DeArmond lately to do the gretsch thing.

What bridge did you put on there? That's not a stock Gretsch bit.

I like the 9.5" radius necks. Rare enough and difficult to find out which models are not 12". The single coil Dynasonic are also killer.

I'd love to get a Duo Jet with a Bigsby! I played one years ago and loved it!
@Hickeroar3 ай бұрын
In the comparison, the differences are subtle, but the Lambertrons sounded a bit flat and boring. I preferred the Sparkle Jet the most.

There's a thing about guitars and people, if you find a guitar you truly resonate with, you will never want another one. Case in point, Willie Nelson and Trigger. If you don't, you'll try and probably spend a liftime and a treasure.

I've had a big body Gretsch hollowbody, but couldn't bond with it. Guitar too big, pickups too quiet. Sold it last week and today I bought an Eastman Romeo NYC with Seymour Duncan Psyclone. Smaller guitar with a BIG sound. Love it.

Sooze lovin that Black/silver Falcon, NICE but PRICEY. Brian from worship tutorials says they have a bit of DARK sound. I always thought they were between a humbuck and single coil.

I am a huge Chet Atkins fan but even Chet, with his Gretsch endorsement deal, didn't begin to get a great recorded sound until the early 60's. He reached the pinnacle with his Guitar Country LP. His Country Gentleman never sounded better.

Count me in on the "I like it when other people play Gretsch's camp". Owned a few, for me its the fretboards, I can't stand something about the fretboards. Love how they sound though, I wish I like them. HW, you should throw some tv jones into the jm pro, just to see if the openness that you're hearing partially comes from the lambertones not being classic gretsch pickups. It would be a good experiment.

HW… I am with you, brother! I agree. I have owned five or six Gretsch guitars over the years. A few high-end, and a few mid grade models. One of the biggest problems I think with them, for the higher end models, they are simply way overpriced. I am a staunch believer in Duesenberg and a telecaster is being the best sounding guitars and that’s what I have gravitated towards. Gretsch’s just don’t really come close to those tones.
@trebor57603 ай бұрын
Any tips on patches to get the best out of your Duesenberg? Thanks!
