I love how you guys covered all the things that you need to consider before resigning in your BPO job. Super relate ako dito. I've been with the industry for 6 years and I just decided to resign recently. Mahirap siya lalo na kung ang tagal mo na sa company. Pero totoo na one of the factors is yung culture and yung growth. Drag me to work ang peg mo pag alam mo sa sarili mo na wala ka nang drive at di ka na masaya. Yes, super rewarding mag work sa BPO industry. Ang dami ko ding napundar and skills na natutunan. Pero darating ka din sa point na maiisip at mararamdaman mo na you are not growing anymore and you need to go.

If you can’t really give up working in BPO (dahil alam naman natin na malaki ang sahod sa BPO compared to other industries), choose a company na maganda ang culture sa loob. Yung magandang magtrato ng employees at maraming benefits. Kasi toxic ang work sa bpo, given na yan, pero at least kung nasa magandang company ka, work lang ang problema mo, hindi mo na poproblemahin ang company o management. Regarding workmates, guys, kahit saan ka magtrabaho, mayroon at mayroon kang makakatrabaho na hindi mo makakasundo. We can’t always please other people.

Not true. I was in bpo for 2 yrs then switched to the job i really love which is web development. After 3 yrs almost 200k na sweldo ko. Tatlong bpo TL katumabas ko kahit hindi pa ko TL sa field ko 😂

After almost 15 years (in total), I just left BPO industry last year. Naging wake up call din sakin yung culture (Tama kayo regarding politics, sispsipan, favoritism, etc.) dahil talagang napuno na ako. Yung everyday nalang you have to deal with a lot of a**holes. And at one point, parang na degrade ako when it comes to education. Ok din naman na BPO is not very particular with educational attainment as long as you can communicate well, minsan din kasi due to politics nagiging managers yung hindi naman talaga deserving. And also, yung lifestyle. For many years in the business, I've seen a lot na nag develop ng kung ano-anong sakit like hypertension, diabetes, kidney and liver problems, coronary diseases and even cancer among others. Lalo na yung palaging nagkaka UTI at ibat-ibang uri ng infections. No regrets sa pag alis, as I'm practicing my profession right now as a nurse, which is more than fulfilling than getting a higher salary (tawagin nyo na ako ipokrito pero ganun na naging pananaw ko).

Pero iba yung feeling na mahal at gusto mo yung ginagawa mo, na napapalitan ng pagsisisi yung panghihinayang na dapat pala nun ko pa ginawa. Besides, awaiting nalang ako ng deployment ulit for abroad. Who knows, I can earn a mere 120K a week as a nurse abroad. Worth it din😉

Ako umalis as workforce specialist dahil hindi kaya ng katawan ko mag trabaho ng madaling araw lalo na paguwian na parang mag collapse ka ang hirap umuwi ng bahay dahil wala ka sa present of mind dahil inaantok ka which is pwede ka maaksidente. at mahirap na matulog kapag 9 am out mo tapos 10:30am ka nakakauwi sa bahay. Health is wealth pa rin.

This is really what i need. Kinakabahan tlaga ako mag quit kasi dahil sa situation ngayon, kaylangan na kaylangan talaga ng money, pero kasi tulad sa mga reason na binigay nyo, about supervisor, manager and even colleagues ( I used to be so close with) biglang parang di kana part ng team, ang hirap maki sama at napaka baba pa ng sweldo, grabe yung competition. Sasabihan ka ng you can ask us anytime you need help, but when you do, they would yell at you or even brush you off 😤 I just hope I find the company and colleague that I had before. The very first company that I joined, dun talaga ako ng tagal, although local sya but still were like family and even the manager (used to be our trainor) mingle with us. Sad to say that i have to let go because i got a little ambitious. 😭 Bad move i know.

i just quit my job. sa totoo lang lahat ng bullet points naichek ko.. im unhappy..walang growth etc. and i have prayed for it tska matagal kong pinag isipan. i know it is a jungle out there.. im a bit scared sa totoo lang. pero kung di ako nag resign alam ko id be tthat miserable person everyday and i dont wanna be that. apply apply nanaman. wish me luck

Additional: I also have a problem as of right now. I'm currently a student and told the interviewer in my final interview awhile back that I'm not currently studying as of right now even though I am, and I'll be graduating this coming March. I just didn't think that I'll be on this position passing the final interview awhile back and I don't know what to do Kuya M.A! Hopefully you could see this comment. Although I still have time 'til 1 PM tomorrow to explain everything. T_T

planning to quit my job in 1-2 years because I have basis that this is a stuck up job. The management is ok but i think i cant do shifting schedules anymore( humans are made to sleep at night and wake up at day). Planning to invest and learn on stuff muna for additional sources of income in this 1-2 year time frame before i leave because i want to make sure that as much as possible i wont have to live a corporate life and be a wage cuck anymore ever. Then I'll go full blown crypto trader. edit: when people hear of BPO assumption agad call center ka. Pero in reality any job whether voice or non voice when outsourced from another country (usually first world) to a usually third world country for a cheaper cost of labor, then it's technically a BPO.

Naalala ko po yung first day ko sa work, mangiyak-iyak po ako & gusto ko na mag quit agad talaga. And until now, 1yr na po ako sa company ayun pa po rin ang nafefeel ko, mas lalo lang lumala ang feels ko & I think affected na rin pati ang work performance ko. 😭💔

I just left June 15, 21(rendered 30 days) and kinda regret it, not the job though, but. My friends! I left them behind. People come and go sa mga BPO companies. The pay is nice pero dami pa rin umaalis. Some companies don't even know how to take care of their employees kasi THEY CAN BE REPLACED EASILY.

Ewan ko bat parang naiyak ako dito, mag 2 years nako sa bpo sa ngayun parang ang hirap mg resign dahil may umaasa pa sakin. Hay.. pero minsan nabe burn out nako sa work stress sa asshole customer at demanding na management at maraming metrics. Someday makakaalis din ako sa bpo at makakahanap ng work.

kahit na gusto mo pa work mo dadating at dadating ang panahon na magsasawa ka cguro ang dapat na lng napag tuunan ng pansin ay paano labanan ung sawa.. ako dami din akong trabaho na napasukan una naka 2 years ako then nag resign at nakahanap ng "dream job" pero after 3 years nagsawa nag resign ngayon nasa BPO ako nasa 4 years na din sawang sawa na dina ko pero kinakaya ko na lng.. lahat ng bagay naman kahit gusto mo pagsasawaan at pagsasawaan mo talaga..

Nag quit ako sa BPO noong nag vacation ako. Nakapag isip ako ng maayos sa dagat. 2 yrs sa BPO pero i felt na ang daming nasayang. Na-halt yung pagiging programmer ko but i dont regret it kasi yung stress sa BPO at pulitika sobrang lala 😂 im glad i left dahil 6 digits na ko in my field. I will never get that comfort and monetary value sa BPO. I only work 3-4 hrs of my 8 hrs a day.

It depends. 29 months na ko sa work ko and about to be rolled off from the project. If I LOA without pay is not available, then I will push through with the resignation. I will survive the next 12 months without an income. I will have to make up lost time during the lockdown an fix my mental and physical well being.

Lol. And here I am almost 2 months in and already want to quit. Technical support specialist. Pagtiisan ko hanggang 6 months tapos alis na. Sabi sa akin wag ka daw magtagal sa call center. Lalo na ako may Engineering degree at Masters degree. Kasi may tinatawag na "pigeon hole". Iisipin ng ibang companies pang call center ka lang tlga at mahihirapan ka maghanap ng work na iba.

@@ondaladida1591 Hi! Yes, I already resigned after reaching 6 months. I have the deepest of respect for call center agents. It's not that it's hard for me since I became a top agent for 2 straight months, I really just don't like the call center setup and system anymore. I HATE stats, AHT, spiels and talking to idiots the whole damn day. Pay was good though for a first job.

@@ondaladida1591 I resigned even without another job. I'm currently planning on studying again and was able to save a good amount from my earnings. It really depends if you are working for yourself or if you have a family or someone to support. I work to support myself so I have more room to decide on what I want to do. But if you really hate it as I did, then follow your heart. Nothing worse than doing something you hate.
