Glad you chose Mama Liberia 🇱🇷. I am fully aware of it challenges, but I think you have more options in your own country. The internet situation is improving, I know several people that are currently working remotely in LIB from America. Yes, our food is amazing but ofcourse I'm bias. I spent 16 days in Ghana and all I was able to eat was jolof and tilapia 😂😂😂... You stay blessed sis👏

Sorry about that Sis. You are right, no mater where you move to in this world. You need some income to live. No matter the savings you come with, it will deplete at a certain point. There are so many varieties of food in Ghana. The issue is that, very few can be found in capital city of Accra. There are many kinds of foods in the Western Region, Volta Region, Northern Region and Upper Region that cannot be found in Accra. The problem is that, Akufo Addo's government has made the economy so bad that, the incentive to expand businesses in food industry is not attractive. His government's main focus is tribalism. Most government sectors are headed by his family and tribe people who do very little and as a result, you don't see much of Ghana.
@Born2BFree9 ай бұрын
Wow, thanks for sharing. It all makes sense… a Ghanaian once told me that the popular dishes seen in Accra come from the major tribes in Ghana. With little snacks and local drinks coming from smaller regions. Thank you so much!❤️🔥

In the final analysis you made the decision based on your experience, which is good. Objectively however, Ghana ranks higher in comparison; GDP, medicine, education, agricultural land, internet … statistics favor Ghana. Thus one has a higher probability to excel in society than Liberia… needless to say we all Love both countries equally.
@Born2BFree9 ай бұрын
With Ghana’s population of 34 million compare to Liberia population of 5 million, you should rank higher in all sectors. However, all the industries listed have never worked in the average Ghanaian favor. Let take your education sector for instance, the average degree earned by a Ghanaian can’t employ them.🤣 wait…you didn’t create one that can employ them. Furthermore, your largest well know university is in arrears to some of their major suppliers. There’s been countless threats of their electricity being turned off when I was living in Ghana. Not to mention your medical industry where Ghanaians can’t afford because all payments has to be made in full before they can get any assistance. Ghana heavily relies on the influx of foreign investment to sustain itself. You also import a large percentage of your food as well. Chale relax, we are in the same boat. Now y’all got me eating rice balls with groundnut soups 😂😂😂.❤🔥
@Decoda-k9 ай бұрын
@@Born2BFree good points made… however I would say that China or India population superior to U.S yet inferior in the overall ranking invalidates the argument of higher population “should rank higher…” Liberia is a very good country, but to make an informed decision, meaning to assign a higher probability of something over another must be beholden to objective data, which I eluded to. We can pick and choose the areas to support our argument ( u.s ranks poorly in certain fields but overall it is still the 1st superpower on earth), but the mean, average, when all are taken into account, Ghana is objectively superior… but it doesn’t take away from Liberias greatness.
@dadoboye15369 ай бұрын
@@Born2BFree…it seems to justify to yourself that you made the right decision leaving Ghana for Liberia, you have to shade Ghana. I would be very surprised that Liberia would’ve a vegetable or food that you couldn’t find in Ghana since many families are dual citizens of both countries. Now to compare Liberia with Ghana using economic metrics is laughable especially considering Liberia unfortunately is still recovering from war. Ghana GDP per capita is over 3x Liberia’s. Population is accounted for. What country in Africa doesn’t import food? Finally, there’re thousands of Liberians still in Ghana who have refused to go back to Liberia even after the war and elections and that should tell you something.
@nicknuamah37919 ай бұрын
It’s unfortunate to compare Ghana and Liberia regarding electricity provision. Ghana ranks at the top with constant lights throughout the year as compared to that of Liberia that rank among the west African countries. You only two industries in Ghana, real estate and tourism! You need to do a research to understand the Ghanaian economy. To compare Ghana with Liberia is an insult.
@Born2BFree9 ай бұрын
@@Decoda-k The term superior is a bit of a stress. For a small nation and landmass compared to Ghana, Liberia has a sizable amount of natural resources that can compete with Ghana. Your current development comes from foreign investments. Not to mention, Liberia went through a civil war less than 30 years ago. China and India major success comes from the outsourcing of cheap labor from the US and the mass production of cheap products. Furthermore, North America- especially US is wealthy with vast amount of natural resources. Yes, China and India population are much larger but America is still considered a large country with over 300 million in population. In a nutshell, you have the natural resources to back you up - like the vast amount of gold, magnesium ect…yet your major industries comes from foreign investments.

It’s well known globally that Ghana is broke… stop being in denial. 🤣🤣🤣 Word on the street is Ghana’s Electricity Company (ECG) is 1.7 billion in arrears. You can’t afford to pay your electric bills or your employees. Furthermore, a broke person won’t leave Ghana, pay for a flight, AirBnb and pay no less than 6 months for a new apartment. At least we know how to cook.❤️🔥
@niiokaikassim47359 ай бұрын
@@Born2BFree You are really mixing the issues up. Go and ask ECG workers whether their company owes them any salary. I don't know which companies are owing even a month's salary arears. I am sure you were supposing. I don't like comparing apples and oranges but I think that's what you did in your inaccurate monologue. Take time to read extensively. I am not saying ECG is not owing their suppliers. But your conclusions are farsical, dangerous and denigrating. When you Ghanaians complain, they are saying their spending levels have dropped. Don’t spread lies about electricity workers not being paid. My neighbor works there and has not said anything about not being paid. In fact she just brought a car a few weeks ago. In fact, electricity company is doing well among state owned companies. Customers pay their bills for power because per capital income in Ghana is $5,500 and foreigner like you with limited resources will feel the burden of living in Ghana. You pay a price for good living with better infrastructure and institutions as compared to Liberia.
