Scott ? I’m 68 and in the very same place. I am rebuilding my relationship with the Lord. I saw a Video called 1946 Documentary that specifically reveals the homosexuality and how it found its way into the Bible… previously AG worship team and a beginning pastor. 20 years and uncountable Christians from my church shunned be. I am glad he be living my truth… I wish you the best in your journey. Jesus love us

Another very interesting conversation, Melody. The only Australian youtuber I follow these days. Dialogue I don't hear everyday among people from people in my age cohort (Millennial).

I love this podcast.. Christian have become complacent. There is a huge difference in formulating a belief system based on education verses one inherited as indoctrination. You should always question what you believe.

I do not have proof of this but the "woman should be silent" verse, I questioned this many years ago as a teen and ironically it was a conservative theologian that pointed out to me that we were only seeing the response letters and not the initial letters that were written. They told me that the response was written that way because the particular area they were writing to, they were having a problem with the woman disturbing the sermons. So the response was to directly address that issue and of course was done within the cultural context of the time. But it had since long been taken out of context. Now whether this is true or not I don't know. But that was what I was told. So yes if we aren't able to look at the Bible through different lens and source outside material to understand a different cultural context thousands of years ago, we miss the mark. Great podcast by the way, love it!

Wow. That is fascinating! I've definitely heard of the idea that women were disturbing sermons, but not about Paul's letters being a response. If you have any sources or anything you could send me, feel free to do so! Thanks so much for listening 🙂

This problem isn’t limited to Hillsong. This problem is ingrained in “The Church” I believe the Bible is an amazing book but in man made.

“The Bible is wrong”. “Paul is wrong”…. “Did God really say?”… You are deceived. Satan knows your weakness and used it to lead you away from the truth. “Deny yourself and take up your cross..”… What part of that did you not want to obey? Your destination is made very clear in the Book of Revelation. Repent and be saved. Preferably find somewhere other than HellSong though.

Heya! Thanks for engaging. I reckon it's good to question this kind of stuff - that's why we have the Holy Spirit no?
