I am part of stamping up as a hobby, just for fun! You happen to show up on my feed, I believe nothing happens by accident and I'm so very glad you did show up. Your journey parallels my journey but with different results. My husband also lost his job and my business became the sole provider for the family.... I also homeschool children in the list goes on and on. The difference was I chose to walk away from my profession and to start a different one, one that absolutely thrills me. If all these things didn't happen I wouldn't be doing what I'm doing today. We both gave up everything and went before our Lord and gave him our brokenness and exhaustion..... I'm so glad the both of us went through these things and I'm thrilled that you shared it for others to see.

Thank you for sharing what you went through and how you’re still coping and how God is still seeing you through. Wow! You’ve had a LOT! I’m 65, no kids, hubs and I are semi-retired doing what we love. But with everything going on, I have, like millions of others in this country, felt the stress, the uncertainty, the changes, the adapting to changes, and even grieved with so many people that I never met…never saw in person, deal with endings and beginnings of life events that they never saw coming. I can tell you that the YT community that I am a part of, (I’m an artist, paper crafter and vintage reseller) just by watching, posting comments and sharing my own experiences or knowledge and receiving so much by what others share, has brought more comfort to me at this difficult time than I could have ever imagined. The back and forth interaction with YT channel hosts and sharing thoughts with others or to give a word of encouragement or listen to a word of encouragement or just to tell someone that you’ll pray for them…or just send up a quick prayer. It really has been and continues to be an amazing experience. I am very concerned about our country right now and pray so hard that this great divide can be resolved one day soon. I’ll finish with this one last thought.: I was listening to the news yesterday, which can be a stressful thing in itself. And the well-known saying…”the truth will set us free” came to mind. And then I thought, well Dr. King said that in one of his famous speeches. Well, he did make it more well-known, but the saying didn’t originate with him, and of course he acknowledged this too. And many well-known people have uttered those incredible words, or variations of it. But I felt sort of “duh.” Even with growing up in church, years of Sunday School…and while I’m no Bible scholar, I’m pretty good on remembering important and “famous” scriptures., but I didn’t remember the “author” of this profound scripture that has meaning and inescapable impact in every aspect of Christian faith and even secular life. So I looked it up and of course as I’m sure many already know, it came from the Bible, the New Testament, and Jesus said it! “Jesus said (to those who believed Him), “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8: 31-32 ❤️

Oh my goodness my friend! My father died April 22, 2008 the day after my birthday. I always like to think of spring as new life and freedom from pain and suffering that he went through with his cancer. I pray that you are strengthened and bolster during the season. Why is it that we have to be reminded over and over again that if we just give it to God and trust in him it will all work out in the end! We recently went through a move that was extremely difficult with so many ups and downs but I refused to ask God for anything that he didn’t think was best for me/us. My story has been a happy ending and I’m so grateful that things didn’t work out the way I wanted them to. Trusting Him in everything in your life is difficult but a must for your own well-being. This is the first time I've seen you on you tube. Thank you for sharing your beautiful story. I too, have been going through a lot these past few months. Our son passed away in April, a couple of weeks after his funeral I had a preventative surgery on my left foot that went wrong and I ended up losing my toes and half of my foot. I am still in a rehabilitation facility, and getting better every day. I gave all my pain, anger and frustration to God. He continues to bless me daily. He has eased the pain of losing my son I will keep you and your family in my prayers. I look forward to watching your videos. I am a card maker and can't wait to go home and start making cards again. Wow, Jamie!! Just met you for the first time, and already love you! I’ve been where you are surfacing from-I know exactly how it feels!! I, too, am an over achiever, have worked so much and so hard in times past, that I fell off the cliff before I even realized the cliff was there! Your passion, your words of faith, your loving attitude, your love of things beautiful and happy, all remind me of me😳👍!! I was a full-time Executive Assistant, and worked as an independent consultant for Home Interiors and Gifts for 25+ years, had several recruits to look after, which resulted in my doing in-home shows almost every evening, running wide open from 5:30 am till 12:00 midnight and after, for years, plus serving as a Sunday School Teacher, VBS Director for our church, PTA Secretary, Homeroom Mom Chair, and taking care of my 2 daughters, husband and family!! I absolutely worked myself into a shutdown! I think that’s why I watched your video with such interest and compassion!! You were spot on with all you relayed in your video! I’m now retired, since 2012, and truly enjoying life, grandchildren, family, crafting and all the things I love! Life is so much slower now…something that is sometimes difficult for me, as I ‘thrive’ on the excitement of “too much to do, in too little time😆🙌🏻…but I make it happen!!” Guess I’ll go to Glory still looking to get in one more thing before I go!! 🤦🏼‍♀️🥰😜I look forward to following you, learning from your crafting talents, and seeing all the great things God has in store for you. Wow. Ty for this I've had a rough time of it since 2015 and the last 3 yrs the worst w death of my mother, uncle, mother-in-law, father-in-law, neice, several friends...I'm surprised someday that I'm walking and talking bc I realized how depressed I am and I felt so guilty but like you I understand & realized it's OK to be a bit depressed 😔 been thru so much. Jamie, thank you so much for making this video. You are not alone. I will celebrate my 20th year as a SU! demonstrator in August. I was holding monthly. technique classes (5 sections), and Stamp-a-Stacks (2 sections) each month as well. After an illness that hit me after Thanksgiving and lasted for 6 weeks, I was sapped of my energy and enthusiasm for anything. Finally, in February, I was able to start holding the Stamp-a-Stacks again. I have decided that the technique classes will have to wait. We all hit roadblocks at times, and there is no shame in taking a break to re-enervate ourselves. It is so important to keep these messages going so that others who are struggling will give themselves time to think, weigh the pros & cons, and heal.

I stumbled across you on January 31st. You are amazing. God handles all our problems. It may take a while but he always comes through. My world turned upside down 16 years ago when I was retiring, my son was getting married, and I was diagnosed with cancer. Too much on my plate. I gave it to the Lord to handle. I was a lady who had to have beds made before leaving the house. Bathrooms picked up and I better not have dishes left in the sink when I left for work. I got sick, prayed, made a promise to God if he healed me I would not be worried about dishes left in the sink and overflowing laundry basket. Fast forward, 16 years, I’m cancer free, retired, son is married and living the dream.

It’s the struggle - the control. I’m with you and beds made etc. life took an insane turn (you had and overcame that cancer and that’s far bigger than my life’s obstacles!). So glad you are back. I'm also a Stampin' Up demo and I think we sat at the same table during one of our last CentreStages! You are so right and I definitely feel your story will resonate with so many of us. The past two years have really thrown most of us for a loop regardless of what the details are. We've mostly all lost loved ones, been super ill ourselves, and changed jobs (or lost them), homes, etc. These are trying times for a lot of us and you being a Christian helps you immeasurably in my opinion. Lean on God and not your own understanding and for a fellow Type A person, this is tough. I lost my mobility (cannot walk!) in the last two years and you don't realize how much you need others when this is the case. However, it is this way for now for a reason and I must listen to God for my own welfare, just as you did. We all must, and we will all be blessed by doing so. Hang in there, glad you are settled once again and wish you nothing but the best in your reconnection with Stampin Up!

Jaime, I am just now meeting you, but I am sending you huge hugs. I can understand where you have been. I recently started back with SU after several years. My goal has not been to have my own team but still to meet new people. A lady that I knew as a waitress at the restaurant where we eat supper on Saturdays has become a new best friend and we get together 2 or 3 times a month. @@JamieAlbanese oh Jamie..you truly moved my heart, listening to you speaking of your company, friends you met through Stampin-up..you ar very humble, all your friends, family are blessed to have you. In todays society, at least for the last two years, there has been so much of a battle, angry, world, what happened to you moving to a new state, trying to get settled, with an owner, I can only imagine, people are just damn rude, nasty, my wish is for our God to come back, clean up this horrific mess. I know he’s looking down on us who believe, and call themselves Christian, we all need to stand together, we can change this world. Thank you for your kind words, prayers, I am forever grateful, bless you. Friday I go for my second appointment with my oncologist, so he can read my CT scan, determine how long I will need Chemo for. Yes, Jamie, I no am afraid of Chemo, but I know my God will take me by the hand, get me through this. I have already had surgery on 12/27, whee my surgeon took 2/3’of my right lung, but when he was in there, he saw cancer had spread to my Lymph Nodes. Thank you for listening, I have lived a clean life, never smoked, they told me the cancer is environmental.??? I would like to stay in touch with you, as you get back into your business, you will only excel, all your clients will be cheering you on to get back to “stamping a stamp to paper”, maybe after all my treatment, I could be a new customer/friend. I became a demonstrator after my 22 year old sons tragic dirt bike accident...and now this March my dad passed away and I'm a little stuck ..we just finished cleaning out his farm a week ago. I was a stampin up Demonstrator back in the 90's but like you, because of stress, divorce, finances, and depression. Had to leave it. I didn't have the amazing support within my line unfortunately. I put all my crafting in the back burner for about 3 years. Than got back to it. I'm great now, like you I surrendered to God. But didn't go back to stampin up. I'm now retired and have relocated to Texas with my now husband of 5 years. I still craft, make cards and things for fun. I thank God for all the blessings everyday.
