Good video. I also came out of the hebrew roots movement years ago. We definitely can relate.

You're 17. You're not normal. Lol 😁. Thank the Lord. You're on your third book? So proud of you and pleased to have you as my brother. Be blessed always.

Thank you for your video testimony! If possible, I'd like to ask a question. My son and his family have been in the HR for several years. I sense there is a different spirit at work as there is no ability to honestly look at scripture without having him twist the scripture into something else or claim it says something that isn't even in the text. Did you experience anything like this, and can you share how you became free of it? Thank you ✝️

I'm currently reading your book 'Why I Left ..." Thank you for your work! I know you're correct about the HRM through my own experience. But someone I'm always debating with about this made a very good suggestion. Please attempt to arrange a public debate with Michael Rood.
@MrTall235 ай бұрын
I will not do that - I am against public debates because it's a waste of time due to the fact that most people are not open minded enough to even care what the point of the other side is, first of all. Second of all, I don't want to give a platform for a false prophet to speak.

You have a very interesting story to tell, I look forward to what you have to share about the Hebrew roots movement. You have come far as a believer in Christ in a year or so. I have watched a few of your videos and your defense of Grace through faith is awesome. I am curious since you have come out this movement and they mix law and grace together are they saved in your opinion? You seem to have a clear understanding of Grace through faith in Christ's finish work on the cross. You also have a zeal to give the truth. Keep up the good work you have begone and done quit. Do not lose your love for Christ in this confusing age. Keep your eyes on Christ and he will guide through the storms at hand.

I think it varies from person to person. I know there are some people who call themselves "Messianics" out there who trust entirely in Jesus, but follow some of the Old Testament laws anyway. A similar problem was faced by the Colossian church, which Paul addressed in chapter 2. They were saved Christians, but false teachers had gotten in and taught them to observe dietary customs and holydays in order to be 'more spiritual.' I know there's a pastor out there named Matt Powell who has been saved since a child, and was caught up in the Hebrew Roots movement for about two years when he was a teenager, but left because he realized their blasphemy against the name of Jesus and their teachings of works salvation. So, I would say that it's entirely possible for saved people to fall into some of these doctrines. However, the Hebrew Roots "teachers" out there who teach that you have to obey the Torah in order to be saved, or who blaspheme the name of Jesus, are not. I know that when I first entered the Hebrew Roots movement, I had never even heard the Gospel or the idea of God's grace. I occasionally went to a Lutheran church as a child and I considered myself a Lutheran before then, but I believed in a completely merit-based salvation, simply because I was never taught. That's how I was lured into the Hebrew Roots movement, because I already had the preconceived notion that obeying the commandments is what saves you. On the other hand, those who are already saved (like Matt Powell) are usually lured in through the appeal of traditions and customs. The false teachers rarely will come out directly and teach a works salvation. So, it depends. Some in the movement are, but most are not.

Absolutely! The TRUE Gospel is simple and a child can understand- It’s the death, burial, resurrection of Jesus Christ and believing on Him ( for the forgiveness of sins/his paying our ‘sin debt’) it’s the undeserved, free gift of Grace and Salvation.

I do have an idea for you... To do a detailed video series on Law and Grace in the context of what is happening right now in Christianity. We are living in a time that Grace through faith in Christ is under great attack by law keepers who mix law and Grace.

But God always had grace since the beginning began.... grace isnt new..he is the same yesterday today and tomorrow. His grace is everlasting

Gentiles were specifically told in the New Testament to not follow the teachings of those of the circumcision (Hebrew Roots?) to me that would seem THE LAW and a bunch of cultural rituals specific to the Children of Israel vs being received by "ABBA, Father" through the Spirit of Adoption. Seemed like a lot of Bondage. A friend invited me to a Bible study which ended up a CULT meeting, so many Bible verses flooded my mind as a lady and I where literally plummeted with questions to undermine our Christian Teachings and Foundations and then challenged us to RENOUNCE being a CHRISTIAN (deny Christ?) and call myself a Jew. I stood up, called the man a "False teacher" and the tactics being used "A CULT". I offered the other lady a way out of the meeting and we left. I came home and produced the following outline to share with the one who invited us: I hope this helps you and others "Observing Dates: Galatian 4 (10) & Colossians 2 (16) Coveting the Judaism Birthright vs Gentile "Abba Father through the Spirit of Adoption" 1. A man of God has said ;we, as christians, should have read the bible as many times as years we have lived. I am 57 and have only read it 12 times in 5 years, the best I have done is 3x in a year. At some point you realize you will never plumb the depths of scripture as we ,as humans try to get a firm grasp on the goodness of grace, the immuteable attributes of GOD and A SAVIOR, CHRIST, who died not only for those in his generation but for those of perpetuity. I am in a slow methodical read through of the scriptures this time around and have found Isaiah , as previously, a book that needs serious thought and study to be grasped to even a small degree. GOD's word is AMAZING.

How about cults of Christianity? Maybe one cult per month with a good overview.

That is a good idea. Now that I think about it, I haven't really made a video about Jehovah's Witnesses, which is one of the big ones out there. Iglesia ni Cristo and La Luz Del Mundo are other ones I've heard of and can talk about. Thanks for the input.

Mr. Tall23 - Yes! Please do JW’s. I was raised as one, unfortunately and have several close family members still in it- it’s very difficult at times. Thank you!😊

@@shannoncats5549 Interesting. I don't know any JWs personally, but I do interact with them from time to time because there's a Kingdom Hall right down the road from where I live, and because I occasionally see their information booths in public places. That'll probably be the first one.

Mr. Tall23 - Let me know if you could use a ‘former insiders’ input. I love my family dearly, but I hope I live to see that destructive cult crumble.
