Hello RL and Mr. Lesmeister! I was already on KZbin when this video popped up! Very good interview you guys! Thank you Rob, for bringing up the contrast between our proper relationships between Gentile and Jews, contrasting that with the modern Hebrew roots movement! I was blessed by what Nic shared. I was led to my faith in Jesus as a teenager, and it was a Messianic Jew who lead me in my first prayer! I have been blessed to have always yearned for the biblical roots of my faith in Jesus, which obviously includes what Yahweh did with and through Israel and the Jews. Sincere blessings to both of you men this morning! And Rob, the task that you have been burdened with, is all the more obvious, simply because we don’t need a false teaching to cause division and confusion over the truth about what the Lord is actually really doing between the Gentiles and the Jews! Jesus fought the Pharisee spirit two thousand years ago, and it continues to manifest in different ways, and the Hebrew Roots movement is one of those ways.

You hit the nail on the head. Not only did Jesus attack the Scribes and Pharisees and the sin they were committing, Paul made it clear in Romans and Galatians that he also rejected them, and both promoted the covenant and Torah given to Abraham. They set aside the amendment to the Torah given to Moses and promote the faith of Abraham, as Jesus fulfilled the Torah of Abraham by faith, not the letter of the law of Moses. Wasn’t the mosaic law given the 12 tribes and not just the Jews. Wanting to honor the Mosiac law does not mean that I want to be Jewish it means I want to be in alignment with my creator. Just because they are the ones that we still have of the 12 does not mean it was only for them. Being grafted into a family means you adopt the rules of the house dose it not. I’m not hard core HR but I think there is something to honoring Torah. I would like to speak to either one of you as I do have some clarifying questions.

I have a Ytube video series called 'Myths in so-called Christianity' in which I teach the Torah was given to Abraham, and due to Egypt and sin an amendment was given to Moses, and as the Way Jesus fulfilled the law of Abraham by faith. I say in my videos that Jesus and Paul taught Hebrew Roots, and set aside Moses, so a true believer now is a Born Again Jew in the faith of Abraham which is the same as Christs law. My teaching is called 'hereafter' and criticises Christianity, Judaism and Islam as none follow the Torah given to Abraham.

We have a Jewish community in our church. We are gentiles who understand the replacement theology of Christians, and Hebrew roots. Sadly we are still hated and labelled replacement theology, or trying to be Jewish. The Lord is waking people up to the history of the church, and gentiles struggle with their identity in this, still clinging to Constantine. Jesus is a Jew, the King of the Jews, the lion of the tribe of Judah, the scriptures are Jewish, and so are the disciples including Paul. Paul remained a Pharisee. Unfortunately Christians can't seem to handle the truth. I appreciate the Calvary Church and I have heard one of the pastors interviewed by FFOZ (who are in alignment with UMJC), a number of years ago. I really appreciate the work this church is doing in restoring the believer's in Jesus back to their first century realisation. Praise the Lord that many modern theologians are now waking up, and trying to readdress these most obvious facts, whilst acknowledging the clear distinctions between the Jew, and the Gentile. As the nations who go up to celebrate the feast of Tabernacles in the Millilenial Kingdom, are called the nation's, NOT Israel. As the church continues to study the truth of God's word from a first century perspective, it can't help but to transform lives. Let us all become avid disciples of our Lord Jesus, as per the great commission. Amen

All we need to do is to make a survey to find out which group won most Jews to Jesus The Jewish Christians or which some called the Messianic Jews, or the gentile believers. Which group has the best approach in presenting the gospel to the Jews.

I've been in a few different messianic congregations. They are not all the same. The ones I've been in, were all ex Christians and HRM was beginning to infiltrate the congregation before I left and several others left. It is a much different doctrine than when I started in this in 1995.

Hello, Carlos. What's interesting is that Paul could have been referring to both. Because both Jews and pagans observed "days and months and seasons and years." Hi Theresa! Here's what I believe: Whatever level or degree of free will we may truly have, the Bible gives us commands as if we have the ability to choose whether or not to keep them. And further, Scripture teaches we will be held accountable for the choices we make. At the same time, God's sovereignty reigns over every atom of the entire universe. How we harmonize these facts is less important, in my opinion, than acknowledging they are true and leaning on God, and loving Him, and living our lives accordingly. Blessings, Rob

Thank you for your reply Pastor Solberg! That was a good way to put it, but I would still say, in the end, it is just plain right doctrine to say, it is very biblical that God has his elect and Jesus came for His own. Not to cause people to wonder if they are an elect or not but to cause people to know it is a work of God, which will cause us to not become arrogant and remain humble. You know like “Look what I did, I chose God” (I suppose the Arminians would say believing you are an elect is arrogant). But I have never once thought, “He chose me and not you”. It’s not that the elect are robots, void of choice, but unless it is a work of the Holy Spirit FIRST, we are not “able” to choose rightly and desire God. But when leading people to the Lord, it would not be right to approach it in regard to elect or not, it’s just merely the right theology. Thanks for your channel, I will subscribe!

But the Noahide Laws have been signed into our laws since George Bush Senior maybe even earlier. These leaders quoted that the Noahide Laws are the bedrock of civilization, Of course we know that isn't true.

I have an interesting question, two people believe or does anyone believe that God actually approves a woman getting pregnant and then says this person will be born in the 20th century and born a gentile? Do we believe God does that and knows that for every single baby or do we believe that men and women have sex and have babies God obviously knows about it but no one's appointed a specific time for a specific reason. Another words of spirit or soul is not held off and given to a baby in the Gentile 20th century for a specific reason? I mean kids are born God knows about it we're born when and where we are born I don't think we are specified as a sole specifically to be in a certain area at a certain time does anybody? I guess I'm not really sure first time I've ever thought of it like that

The very reason people are so confused about this subject is because they don't read or understand the Torah. Torah is Gods instructions. Acts 15 comes from the heart of Torah. The Jerusalem counsel is all Jews who reach their understanding of Gentiles through the Torah, they didn't make up knew ideas. The pattern is in Gods instructions. Sadly people who don't understand God's instructions miss use them. Obviously if you say they are irrelevant, you will have no idea of what is being instructed.

Are Jewish roots and Hebrew roots the same?

Not really. "Jewish roots" refers to the emphasis that Jesus is the Jewish Messiah, His disciples were Jewish, the gospel came from a Jewish context, and God’s promises to Israel still stands etc. (Then you have "Messianic Jews" which are Jewish believers in Jesus.) Whereas the "Hebrew Roots Movement" is gentiles trying to be Jews, often with a hardline legalistic approach insisting you're not following God the right way unless you keep shabbat, wrap tefillin and observe the feasts etc. It's a dangerous movement that is entirely gentile, not Jewish, and disavowed by all mainline Messianic Jewish congregations. This doesn’t refer to gentile believers who appreciate Jewish culture and find spiritual lessons that enrich their faith, which is beautiful.

Galatians 2 : 11-21...peter, barnabas and the rest of the Jewish believers withdrew from the gentiles in Antioch when men from James came ( probably those belonging to the sect of believeing pharisees... Possibly just Jewish believers that had adopted the same viewpoint of the believing sect of pharisees)..... Paul declared that Peter lived in the manner of the gentiles and not as a Jew ( presumably all the Jews at Antioch Paul included lived likewise, in the manner of the gentiles) which was the appropriate lifestyle apparently...it seems perhaps the leaven of the pharisees was powerful indeed to cause fear in Peter, Barnabas and the other Jewish believers ( excluding Paul of course )....had the sect of believeing pharisees swayed the church in Jerusalem.... remember James stated that all the the believers in Jerusalem were zealous to keep the WHOLE LAW.... presumably animal sacrifice too..... Paul states ' for by the works of the law shall no man be justified '... Then...' i do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.' .....animal sacrifice would seem clearly to be offensive to God ( Christ being the better sacrifice once for all ).... Do you think the Jerusalem church had gone 'off the rails.... Peter, Barnabas and the rest had gone off before Paul's correction....had James and all those in Jerusalem succumbed to the sect of the pharisees ? It seems likely....what do you think 🤔 ? Also remember Peter's words in acts 15: 10 a yoke ...that neither our fathers nor we ARE able to bare. 🤯 Present tense it seems ?

The fullness of the gentiles. When the new covenant is fulfilled in the sense that it is complete among the gentiles. It will provoke a response among the Jewish people. A jealousy that will complete the new covenant among the Jewish people.

Who is YAHUSHUA? That name is not found anywhere in the Bible. If you're trying to refer to Jesus, than you should know that the pronunciation _Yahushua_ is philologically impossible in the original Hebrew and has no support in archeological findings like the Dead Sea scrolls or inscriptions, nor in rabbinical texts as a form of Joshua. It's been awhile since I was in the Hebrew Roots movement, but if I recall, followers of Paleo Hebrew claim that the Vav and Aleph (ua) were the only vowels used in the original Paleo Hebrew language. (the claim being that no "e", "i" or "o" existed in Paleo) The other claim is that the letter "W" is two Vav together. So they take out the supposed vowels from the Hebrew name of Messiah and attempt to connect Hebrew language roots to construct a compound name meaning "God is our Salvation" or something similar. They are extremely suspicious of the name Yeshua as the "shua" root is listed in Strong's as meaning "cry for help". Many also erroneously believe that Jesus Christ is a pagan name and are oblivious to its origins from the Hebrew "Joshua" to the Greek equivalent and then to the Latin equivalent and finally to English equivalent. Most of these people will base their claims on the letter "J" not being in common use until after the 16th Century. and claim this was a conspiracy. These claims are however erroneous too and there is no evidence of any conspiracy to hide or corrupt our Saviour's name via the introduction of the letter "J", rather it was a slow evolution of language and the influence of German that led to the slow adoption of the letter "J". Sit and quiet down your mind and read Matthew 24: 5 and really think about what he is saying not what you were taught. Mill it over for a few days in your head and ask him for clarity. Marcion was a master in the Greek language and he was seeing the intentional changes they made also. After you go over Matthew 24: 5 hard in your head go look at 1 John 2: 22 and you will note in all the versions a Greek word was dropped which is "οὐκ" meaning NOT. It actually should of read Jesus is NOT the Messiah. All these changes are intentional. Because they were hiding the real Jesus which is Barabbas. Barabbas means SON OF THE FATHER. Mar_14:36 And he said, “ABBA, FATHER, all things are possible for you. Remove this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.” Marcion knew they changed a few tiny words and changed the narrative with it. This is the only place Jesus is translated as saying he was Christ. All the other 5 places he rebukes them for calling him that. It is an intentional mistake. Like MARK 14: 62 And Jesus said, I am NOT but ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power and coming in the clouds of heaven. Is such a shame that you both get wrong the why people start following Torah. An interview without pushing assumptions with someone who follows Torah would be a far better interview. According to historical documentation the only legitimate followers of the historical Rabbi Yeshua were called Netzarim or Nazarene in Hebrew. The Netzarim officially ended in 135 ce and disappeared from history in 333 ce. This is from credible sources so is very difficult to refute. Rabban Gamaliel said in Acts chapter 5 that if the Jesus movement or Netzarim came to nothing it was not from the Lord. Their disbanding and removal from history seems to prove that Yeshua was not the Messiah as the other false leaders mentioned in that passage. Splinter groups around today are copycat imitators merely attempting to reconstruct what they believe the first century Netzarim to be like. Romanized Christianity is more in error with their anti semitism, introduction of pagan customs etc. Anything modern like Messianic Judaism is just a reconstruction and not a continuation. The Netzarim initially led by James officially concluded with the 15th and last Paqid leaving no successor. Rabban Gamaliel seemed right that Yeshua would be proven false when his movement failed.

Because even within the pages of the NT, legitimate followers of Rabbi Yeshua were referred to as "The Way" (Acts 9:2, 19:9, 19:23, 24:14, 24:22) and "Christians" (Acts 11:26, 26:28; 1 Pet. 4:6).
