Officials and the likes addressed as fairly and called as Mormon/s as well ... Like what King Agrippa did to Saint Paul 3rd Church Leaders adapted the word, for easier recognition, like what Chief Apostle Peter did in his time in The Church of Jesus Christ

@@jinkazama5720 But if you knew church history not Mormon history, meaning Hebraic history, you would UNDERSTAND that name for Yeshua wasn't THE name Jehovah declared. It was an adaptation coming about from the Roman Catholic Church...not at all representing Messiah. Messiah was in fulfillment of Jehovah's covenant with HIS chosen people. Rome ripped OFF the concept of Messiah, changing it to "Christo", deified Mary to saint (idol) status to unify the empire under a State created religion. So really the proFIT stole a Latinism to rebrand the Mormon church. Which is hilarious. If lil Joe had a clue on the origins of the Roman Catholic Church, there is NO ever loving way he would have basically built his new cult from a pagan interpretation and claim it was the Latter Day "saints". Saints in terms of Roman Catechism, were folks achieving a higher spiritual status, designated by the papal system. The Pope isn't mentioned at ALL in holy scriptures, and neither is the Vatican, or most of what the Roman created as Christianity and that is what brought about the reformation. That is NOT at all in keeping with anything found in the Old Testament. NO saints, NO pope, and the caution NOT to add to the New Testament as it was/is the fulfillment of the covenant ONCE and for all. capiche? Saints before the RCC were IDOLS, that most of the Roman Empire worshipped and prayed to as their gods prior to the State created religion and formation of the empire. Lil Joe created another testament of the Latter Day "idols" -which originated in the pagan traditions. Are you seeing the disconnect and departure from Biblical traditions? Angels represented Jehovah, demons promoted false gods. Meaning angels wouldn't have promoted IDOLS, as they were deemed an abomination to the Hebrew people as they represented FALSE gods, and forbidden by Jehovah to worship. I contend Lil Joe needed a few lessons from the rabbi's as he missed the mark entirely. The Latter day proFITS might benefit as well, cuz they evidently don't get it either.

I lived on the east coast for most of the I’m a Mormon campaign and remember all the KZbin videos, the social media profiles, the billboards in NYC, the Meet the Mormons movie in theaters that we were encouraged to attend. We drove over an hour to go see it and and support. So when Pres. Nelson made the statement that using the term Mormon was a “victory for Satan,” I was beyond confused, upset, and mad. It was a turning point for me in how I viewed the prophet and the Church. Of course, there had been things that bothered me already (priesthood ban, LGBTQ issues). But that talk shook me-then reading the gospel topics essays and doing a deep dive into church history has really opened my eyes to what a troubled past and present the Church has.

I had a similar experience to Carah's. Mine was when the church leaders announced the ending of all stake welfare projects in 1982 or so. Such projects were a big part of Mormon culture for decades. My ward had a ten acre potato farm which I had spent many hours working on for 2-3 years as elder's quorum president in my mid 20s. I was taken aback when I went to church one Sunday and heard the announcement. All that work I had done for years for nothing. The scuttlebutt was that the church ended such projects because the farms used volunteer labor (of course) but sold their products on the public market, thus competing with local farmers who had to pay their workers and pay taxes. I assume that the IRS had issued some sort of ruling that the church had to pay taxes on the income from the farms or something, so the church leaders just did away with the farms. I guess that the most "faith-shaking" part of the thing was that the church leaders didn't have informed people running such departments who would have already known that the welfare projects were run improperly. Of course, this incident was just a tiny aspect of why my family and I resigned from the LDS church in 1998, but it helped to reveal to me that church leaders weren't guided by God in every footstep as they claim to be.

6:12 you were NEVER a "Jesus freak". I feel so bad for people who've left the cult, like I did, and mistake it for being "Christian". It isn't even REMOTELY "Christian". Having "Jesus" in the title of your "church" doesn't make you anymore "Christian" than being in Christian Scientology. You can't possibly know Christ in the Mormon "church". A Christian reads the Bible, knows it's true, and prays everyday. If you are praying to Jesus Christ, He WILL reveal the truth to you. If you choose mormonism over Christ, than you've made your decision. You are a Mormon, not a Christian. And you are not one of His children, He created you, but you are not His child.

Another thing that's interesting about ex Mormons is how they speak about other Christian churches as if they are similarly set up the way the Mormon church is, when they are not even close. Yes some churches are, but Christianity on a whole has no building or organizational structure outside of Christ, meaning that the "church" is within the believer or body of believers, they may congregate and fellowship at a church that a pastor has set up but there are no strict guidelines you follow, you could go to Church "A" one week and church "B" the next and the message would be the same. A Christian has a direct relationship with Jesus and needs no other man or building to maintain that relationship

@@krismurphy7711 The Doctrine of Christ doesn’t change. Errors are made by men of God and when the Lord sees fit he will correct them in His due time. For example, when the Resurrected Lord came to the Nephi Nation in 3 Nephi 11 through chapter 26; he told Nephi in one of these chapters that they should include the records of Samuel the Lamanite and thus they did. Remember men of God are NOT perfect we find this recorded in the Old Testament such as Moses when he smote the rock; or when Saul did not destroy ALL that he was commanded by God to do, thus God will call me. Who will adhere to all his commandments. I believe one of the reasons the counsel to follow the prophet is so IMPORTANT and ESSENTIAL is because many members of The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints DO NOT know well the scriptures and thus are led astray and fall away:-( Those who keep ALL the commandments of God and ALL Covenants made in the Temple as they continual feast upon the words of Christ will NOT FALL as per Helaman 5:12 because they are built upon the ROCK of Jesus Christ. The Church ALL TRUE the people MAY NOT be always True and Faithful but God knows who are and those who are know they know God knows! Many who fall away and leave The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints are Covenant BREAKERS - Finding Fault with the Prophets and Apostles is a small and indication of deeper spiritual wounds that lead them further away from the Lord’s True Church.

Anti Mormonisms favorite favorite word to kick around and abuse just got taken away from them and now they are mad. The prophet simply switched out their game plan. Brilliant on his part and timely. All valid points! But the real question is this: why would church leaders who claim to be inspired by God spend $6 million to re-brand the name "Mormon" (through the "I'm A Mormon" ad campaign) only to drop that name a few years later? Seems like a severe lack of foresight from men that claim divine inspiration... Like the LGBT+ exclusion policy reversal, this just forces members to question whether LDS church leaders are truly inspired by God, and what other decisions they got wrong.

@@UnderstandingMormonism The name Mormon was not always negative. I never thought it was. The last few years however it's become a dirty word because of the hate on the internet. Mormons all do this and that, everywhere! The book of Timothy commands elders who preach the gospel to all practice polygamy in the Bible, but then, they suddenly have a new policy change where bishops have to all stop polygamy and only have one wife. I don't see policy changes as evidence of no revelation. The church has always had policy changes. Christ would not let white gentiles become church members in his day. Remember? Wouldn't give them the priesthood either. Years later however Christ tells Peter to change the church policy and let the gentiles join the church on the day of Pentacost Remember? Nobody then thought revelation was bad policy why should anybody today? Your just being tricked by anti Mormons to try to install bias in your head is what's going on.
