Good job Angela, Keep it up. I was wondering if you could kindly cover a topic about the average cost of opening a new pharmacy in the states that you are aware of ? Also I would like to hear your opinion about the future of the retail pharmacies.

Hi! Thank you so much! Unfortunately, I am very unfamiliar with the financial side of independent/retail pharmacies. Many pharmacists I know who own pharmacies purchased them from previous owners or inherited them from family members rather than starting them from the ground up. From the many independent pharmacy owners I've met, my guess is that many would be happy to talk with you personally about a specific idea/pharmacy you have in mind. They are passionate about what they do and love to share that passion! With regards to the future of retail pharmacies, your guess is as good as mine! I believe we will always need retail pharmacists in our healthcare system, and the current climate in that area for patients, technicians, and pharmacists is very grim. I am curious to see how policies from state boards of pharmacies and individual companies will change over the coming years to respond to the issues they face. We may not see a substantial change until the COVID-19 pandemic has somewhat resolved as that takes priority for many businesses, but there are two many unknown factors to make a clear prediction. I have sat for Naplex Exam for the 4th time now and still failed, I guess license isn’t meant for people like me 🤦🏼‍♂️💔😭
