Hi everyone! So glad you enjoyed the video ❤️ I wanted to second to say that I am super excited to be a military wife and I think that showed in the hypeness of this video 😄 However, I feel as if I came across not very humble when it came to pride. I am super grateful for my husbands sacrifice for this country. I am amazed at how some men don't even want to fight for this country out of fear and yet our husbands (or whomever) get out of bed each day to do that. I also never act like I am the greatest when people thank me for my service nor do I EVER expect it. Know though, that we as supports do have an amazing role of supporting them. And so by supporting them and walking beside them, we also serve this country. Again, our sacrifice is nothing compared to theirs but it is awesome that people still recognize us as such. Felt like I needed to clarify and say all this. If you've reached the bottom haha, thanks for reading and I love you guys so much 😊 💕

Fair enough, I'm sure it does. Honestly I forgot about this comment and the person in the uniform (he got discharged months in for some reason that he wouldn't disclose and he also was dating underage girls, including myself because I was really gullible.) Personally considered joining the military prior to learning that asthma was a disqualification, what a shame.

i'm a member not a spouse, but i imagine the best benefits are medical (they pay for your childbirth), the commissary (they charge cost for food +5% surcharge) (go to the store and see what a gallone of milk costs vs a gallon of chocolate milk from same company .. news flash.. same price for commissary, the civilian stores gouge you on choco milk and many other things.. in fact i saved an avg of 50cents an item when i spent 400 dollars on groceries, consistently). travel is another plus (or minus) but ive' lived in england and florida coast with my family, no one of my income can live there like i did as a service member. i took my wife to paris (from england on a military special services sponsored trip).. my wife and kids have lived in other countries. if your marriage can survive till retirement you can get the best benefit of all.. space a travel for you and your spouse anywhere in the world the military flies or charters to. for the cost of only in flight meals. but sadly few marriages will last 20 years. I wont go into the bad things and hardshipos cus there is not enough space on the internet.

Advice - don't get married so young. Seriously, don't do it. I am not saying that it won't work, but statistically the odds are that you will get a divorce. Now, if you have been together since infancy and you are that sure, maybe, but.... I know what I am talking about. This is coming from a guy who married at 23 to a 19 year old and stayed married for 22 years. I am an active duty clinical psychologist with a total of 22 years of active duty service in multiple branches of service. Marriages that work well at that age are few and far between. If you are convinced that you are going to try to do it anyway and want to be the exception to the rule, then you both need to be able to adult well (handle your business and being responsible for your business). Don't argue about money by having a family checking and savings accounts, in addition to your own personal checking and savings accounts for each of you. Nothing worse than arguing over something as petty as money. Finally, invest time in learning how to communicate, because if you can't fight in a healthy way, it's gonna be a disaster.

Hello😁 I recently just got engaged and I have a lot of questions. How did you guys move around? Does the military pay for the movement? How long did you have to wait to move in with your husband?

When you say, “Whatever the military presents you” what do you mean by that? I have never been or knew how the military life worked.. Sometime in the future, I’ll be a new spouse and I want to be prepared and know what I am doing.

My husband & I are both from San Diego, California! He’s active duty Air Force & the 1st duty station we got is KANSAS!... Lol it a was definitely a change for us, but having friends from base helped. We been stationed here for 2 years & counting now. We got married at 18 & now we’re 20, and your definitely right about the military life making us mature! We look at all our civilian friends our age and there still “young & wild” in college or still living with parents...

I've grown up in Seattle and I have the exact opposite situation from you. I've never lived anywhere conservative! lol I hope that I can find a place with more of a middle ground between the ultra conservative and the ultra liberal states while we move around. I love it here. It's the most beautiful place in the country, but I'm getting tired of the politics. It's especially hard being a nurse in an area like this. The needle exchanges and opioid epidemic in this area is my last straw. I'm ready for San Antonio.

QUESTION: QUESTION: If me (fresh O-1) and my wife (no children) choose to live on base: - how many bedrooms can we expect to have? i was hoping for 3. (1 bedroom, 1 office, 1 for guests/future baby). - is base housing loud because of all the planes and trucks moving around all day? - can we bring our rifles (civilian owned) on base with us?
@BritCon2
@BritCon2 4 жыл бұрын
We have never lived on base, but from what I've heard they are all 3+ bedroom homes, yes it is loud, and i'm unsure about the weapons. You can't bring weapons on base in general, so I would assume not for housing. I could be wrong!
