I really enjoy Dr. Sugai’s videos. I learn so much and he teaches us in laymen’s terms so it’s easy to follow and understand. I also love how he lists all the products he talks about so we can easily refer to sections to refresh our memory. And best of all, he’s very likeable and personable! He’s very pleasant to listen to. I wish my dermatologist was more like him. My dermatologist spends about 5-10 minutes max with me and doesn’t explain much. Thinking of looking for a new dermatologist, hopefully like Dr. Sugai as he understands how to treat Asian skin and is very likeable.

I remember my first 2 peels burned like crazy and done by an Esthetician. Now it doesn’t bother me. My skin has gotten used to it.

Hi Dr. Sugai! I'd love to know your ideas on chemical peels vs. laser treatments for skin renewal. (My specific concerns are collagen stimulation and fine lines/wrinkles.). Will you do a vid on that? Thanks!
@ari7999 Жыл бұрын
Thank you very informative. Recently I had chemical peel and i was worried that it wasn't peeling and my skin is not even dry like it shows on KZbin. Then I came across your videos now I know why..

The music in the background is quite distracting and to be honest very annoying. I skipped the video after 1 minute because of it. When you consider removing the back ground music, I might come back to your channel.

Hi Dr, I'm so happy to discover your channel yesterday. I graduated from esthetician school last year, and I learned that chemical peels only smooth out fine lines and wrinkles for a few months before they come back again. Is this true? Would chemical peels need to be done in the dermis to remove wrinkles? Our license allows us to only work in the epidermis of the skin, so would the peels that we do in the epidermis stimulate the fibroblast cells in the dermis? Unfortunately, a lot of what we learned in esthetician school was based on marketing tactics than science so I'm trying to figure out the truth. Anyways, I look forward to learning more on your channel in the future. Thank you.

Hi congrats on graduating and thanks for supporting my channel. I would say that it is correct that penetrating the dermis is ideal to work on fine to deep wrinkles but one could argue that superficial peels in epidermis only may help with very fine wrinkles- similar to retinoids where there is increased cell turnover and more collagen production. Thanks for watching

I’m a wimp with chemical pills but I do love them! But I was completely unaware that using a fan can evaporate some of the peel while it’s doing its magic so from now on I’m going to try not to do that!

Hi Dr. Sugai, this is a great video! My concern is having sebaceous filaments on the nose. Which chemical peel works best for treating sebaceous filaments? Thanks!

I'm about to turn 35 and I'm thinking this is a good idea for this hallmark birthday. I'm fair skinned with some Irish blood tending towards freckles, having lived abroad 7 years in australasia and asia, my skin has definitely taken a hit despite a moderate-to-obsessive with spf 😬

How do you feel about lasers? I’ve never had one, in my early thirties & wanting to prevent/renew my skin. Looking on Real Self, people rave or say terrible things about lasers. IPL horror stories. What are your thoughts? Thank you! Love this channel

Hi. Love your explanation. I do have questions. Post peel, you recommend moisturiser and sunscreen. When should i resume wearing serum? And if serum should be added, what are the active ingredient i should be looking for - niacinamide? HA?

Hey doc! How many peel sessions would it take to lighten up melasma? I’ve had forehead melasma thats been building up for years and despite using sunblock, wearing hats, and avoiding the sun, it hasn’t lightened up one bit. My forehead is 3 shades lighter than the rest of my face and I’m not sure where to start regarding this
@danielsugaimd4 жыл бұрын
Christina Le I would say at least 4-6 treatments to lighten. I would also talk to you about doing a retinoid and serums in conjunction. May need more treatments depending how deep the pigment goes.

Love peels! What is your favorite peel to tighten aging skin ? A series also? ❤️
@danielsugaimd4 жыл бұрын
melissa pintone hello! Good to head your love peels! I like the combo advanced corrective peel since it has different acids as well as resorcinol. When you use a peel like this, it affects the dermis and thus will cause tightening. You’re right- series is the best too.
@MyMaria12244 жыл бұрын
Dr. Daniel Sugai what are they called ? Vi peel?
@danielsugaimd4 жыл бұрын
melissa pintone I have never used VI peel but we use skinceuticals advanced corrective peel. I would also recommend a jessners or TCA peel if you want tightening.
@MyMaria12244 жыл бұрын
Dr. Daniel Sugai ok didn’t know the Jessner peel is good for tightening! Or is TCA stronger? How many do you recommend? Every 4/6 weeks?
@danielsugaimd4 жыл бұрын
melissa pintone If you can do a combo of tca and jessners (a lot of derms do it), I would try to do that. That’s an appropriate frequency as you mentioned.
