They did it. They freaking did it. They extended the true ending and improved upon perfection.

Indeed Spoilers: Oersted may not have gotten his happy ending, but at least he's found peace in the end.

*Spoilers* I really like how the remake adds voicelines that help show some more of the character, like how Ou Di Wan Lee looks down on the pupil but slowly comes to realize why the master chose to fight or the conspirators break down after the Great Inko is defeated. My favourite has to be one of Streighbough's level up quotes: "One day, I will surpass you, my friend". I love how it sounds like friendly banter on a blind playthrough but on repeats it sounds like he was planning to backstab Oersted long before finding the statue. I was tense during my first attempt at the Odio fight after the face managed to double-tap Sundown, Lei and Cube. Thankfully, turns out Masaru being crowned the strongest in the world was well earned, because I was able to solo both Face and Pure Odio with him. Which was awesome and hilarious, because my main method of attack against the second phase was the german suplex.

I need to replay the game with JP voices since it's a good excuse to play again, but I really liked the English VAs for the remake. Also it's great how some of the weaker characters in the original got toned up!

Ah ha ha! Thank Arceus I'm not the only one who enjoys the Dub! And I gotta say, I can respect some more obscure talents rising up a little, especially thanks to this game!~ And I especially love the different writing styles of each Chapter (i.e: the Medieval Chapter is written like a classic Shakespeare Tragedy, and as a fan of that stuff I can get behind that! I even loved how some of the tips were written in Akira's perspective in the Near Future... Sounds just like how I'd imagine a teenager like him to act like!)! Plus, it's always a wonderful breath of fresh air in the present day! Especially since I do like to encourage obscure talents, myself! I'm actually eager to get the Live A Live Remake on myself, which will look WONDERFUL on my Pokemon Collection! And yes.... I'm a certified Pokemon loving gal!~ And also autistic... VERY autistic!

Oh, awesome thing I discovered! During the Distant Future Chapter, once OD-10 reveals himself as the major villain of this Chapter, the main tutorial description has been changed to the main quote of OD-10, the unsettling warning that it is best to give up and he is this world's master! That's such an unsettling detail, yet I love games that include such a minor detail!

@@Voxandra Also, fun AND awesome side note! I think I found one of my new favourite Voice Actors in the Anime world last year! I think I mentioned that at another place... and admittedly... Ah ha... I'm trying my best not to fan-girl TOO much, since this Voice Actor had inspired me a LOT as of late... But ya wanna know the crazy thing? It's about the one who voices Oborumaru and The Great Aja in this game... They're voiced by Stephen Fu! And ya wanna know what else he voiced?! Well, there's a LOT! And to be honest, I checked a little on TVTropes myself... because I was curious... And... HOLY CRAP, the amount of stuff he voiced, I think I got a MENTAL overload! And if I'm honest, I do think that he's one of those underrated Voice Actors! Stuff he has voiced includes one of my favourite Anime, Rising of The Shield Hero (ya know... in Season 2, where he took over as the role? Yeah, while I WILL forever miss the late Billy Kametz, I actually think that Stephen is the better Naofumi in my opinion! Yeah, I SAID it! XD), but also Anime like My Hero Academia (as one of my favourite Minor Characters of the series, Seiji Shishikura), Tokyo Ghoul (apparently... Yeah, I haven't fully completed it yet... I have a MASSIVE backlog right now!)... amongst a few others! And hilarious side note... Coincidentally, and to be fair, I did watch this Anime PURELY for sating my curiosity... He is also the voice of Machio... from an Anime known as "How Heavy Are The Dumbells You Lift?" I'm not joking! Sorry if I rambled for too long... Yeah, I don't ever shut up sometimes.

Spoilers for Live A Live, but it's a neat bit of trivia. I'll try to hide it under a 'read more'. You want to know one big kicker? There _was_ one person who still believed in Oersted, even after he became the Demon King and killed everyone. There was a boy who still believed in him, you can find his spirit in Akira's dungeon in the final chapter. Of course, Oersted thinks it's Alicia /Alethea so hence him snapping so hard. It just adds that tiny bit more to the tragedy of Oersted's character.

I love this game. With events that happened into my life, I could have been an Odio in the making. I hated people for a good while... But I didn't have it anywhere as hard as the knight, so I just stopped my habit of taking crap from people. Since I played the game after these events, it showed me what could have happened if I let my hate consume me. This is why I never really blamed Oersted - he was right to be hateful, who wouldn't - what happens next is where one draws the line.

Ah, LiveALive... I remember playing it, back in the 90's, and I still remember it fondly. That is the mark of a game that actually MATTERS, in my view. There are plenty that you might enjoy playing, then never think about again once you put it down. LiveALive MEANT something. That's why it's still remembered. I just hope the new remake will do it justice... BTW, Mecha chapter is best chapter, and mind-reading Akira-knockoff is obvious best protagonist for the final chapter! :D

Great video! And I can totally relate with the feeling I had when I experienced the game. I am also that one JRPG loving hipster who doesn't even stop talking about that game. In fact that's the only game I streamed for the past 3 months to spread the word. ✨️ I experienced this game as early as 2007. My dad used to buy this knockoff game compilation CDs, and I stumbled upon one game that the title stands out: "LIVE A LIVE". The more I played the game, the more I enjoyed the story. As soon as I finished it, I craved to see how it ends with all the other options. So I tried replaying it, while seeing as many possibilities of outcomes I can reach in the end of the game. Of course, the story, the music, and the unique battle system are the reasons why this game is my No.1 game ever on my list. We can totally relate to the story, as well as the characters. We are so indulged to the story that we felt we are part of the story itself too. I'm glad this game finally got the remake it deserves. We all can finally enjoy this game to its full potential, and LIVE ALIVE together. 💜 P.s.: Prehistoric chapter is my favourite. The story is straightforward, but the humor and the gags in the chapter is what made me giggling while trying to complete the story. 🤣 P.s.2: Lei is my favourite Inheritor too! 💜

Hell yeah. I've also been going through some bitterness lately due to circumstances. I actually was more bitter in my teens but due to family and stuff it eventually became a dull empty feeling. But lately it's burned up again because of how things with doctors infantilizing my self perception and such are. Feeling like it's too late to do stuff. I've been keeping it mostly together thanks to some supportive friends and my sister. But I can't help but feel angry and bitter often. I'd like to say that this video has inspired me to do better but tbh who knows. I'll probs still be bitter and sad/angry for a while. But here's hoping I can find a means to overcome it as well some day. Ty for beautiful video.

AHHH, yes! This game is actually currently on my wish list right now, and I personally wanna play it, too! Tee-hee! I actually remember the first time I discovered this game through a video by whoisthisgit (I'm not joking!) from Creepy Bad Endings, and I found myself distinctly fascinated by this game's story and how this old gem captivated me so much! There's actually plenty of awesome reasons, as its story elements just tickled me in a special way! See, I'm a fan of time travel and stories that take place in various time periods; K even enjoy a hilarious little show called Horrible Histories, believe it or not! And once I heard that a remake was coming to the Switch, I... was literally screaming in delight! Safe to say, I also enjoyed tbe demo as well... though, I did struggle at first to understand certain things! XD And I also found myself acclimating to the voice acting real nicely, too! Especially since... Well, personally, I always have a personal soft spot for English Dubs (I even watched Squid Game dubbed, please don't judge me! XD), and I honestly found this one both awesome AND funny! That's just me, personally, of course! I'm definitely excited to get cracking on playing the game for myself, just as I had dreamed all of those years ago... I even had this WIP Visual Novel game about Oersted's story a long time ago! FUN FACT: I literally named Cube in my playthrough Wall-E! I genuinely love that Disney/Pixar classic!

This was a really heartfelt and wonderful video, I'm glad you decided to make it. I'm still having a lot of problems with the way I view the world, with the way I view others and myself, and there's a lot of things I'm yet to say I know for sure. I feel like we all go through that kind of journey, where we find ourselves becoming the thing we hate the most, but that contradiction shouldn't define you or lock you into being someone you don't want to be, rather what defines you is how you choose to react to this, how you bounce back from the realization of your flaws and how you choose to make the world a better place for the people you love... Live A Live is special, I'm glad to live in a world where more people will hopefully be able to see why that is.
