WHY I LOVE TAI LUNG (a deep dive analysis)

The emotion in the fight between Tai Lung and Shifu is so strong. When Shifu apologizes and Tai Lung just seems stunned and actually contemplating... Just amazing! I don't believe in redeeming villains "just cause" I guess. Like personally I do not believe Lord Shen can be redeemed. Tai Lung, however, I believe deserved a real redemption arc. After Shifu apologizing, Po reinforcing that the approval of others and external achievements aren't necessary, and time to reflect in the spirit realm, I totally believe Tai Lung could have a natural change in heart and perspective. I didn't think the 4th movie was necessary, but if it exists anyway then I wish the 4th movie allowed for him to actually redeem himself in a meaningful way.

it kinda happened in the 4th one where tai lung finally approves of po being the dragon warrior but it was kinda shitty

likely tai lung, shen wasn't much of a fighter, shen was a bigger threat because he had missile launchers
