He averaged 4.5 Points, .8 Rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 21 minutes per game in the CBA. Those numbers are FINE, but they're not going to move the needle for NBA teams looking for a cheap backup point guard.

What do you mean he went the whole time without giving a real reason? You mean the part where he went and got paid to play at 18? Was part of And1? That all happened in lieu of going pro. Or do you mean afterward where he said he went through multiple community college programs and didn't barely play at all? He outlined where his career went *instead* of going to the NBA because the option wasn't there to go play in college or the NBA. It kinda makes sense though. A friend of mine too, one of the best ballers I have ever seen, but he's a 5'11' white dude who can't dunk. There's not a team outside of high school that could care any percentage about his abilities to play basketball. In my opinion, The Professor did what he had to do and he probably knew the options and that's why he took what came instead of the traditional baller route. Kudos to him.

You're an icon when I was a senior in high school in 03-04. I was on my high school team and lots of guys were trying the moves on those tapes. I played two years of JuCo and AND1 mix tape tour was still the biggest thing. I'm 37 now and I still hoop with the younger guys, but it is hard. My knees, hips, and back hurt (still in shape, just that age catching up). So watching you still play basketball is awesome since you must be around 40 now.

I beg to differ. He said the CBA was the G-League of the time. The G-League was created in 2001 and NBA players were sent down to hone their skills since day 1. The CBA was the third highest rank at the time. Matt Freije was sent down in the CBA and averaged 19.5 PPG and 9.7 TRB. I repeat : a NBA bench warmer gathered those stats. The Professor averaged 4.5 PPG just for reference. The Professor was an elite ball-handler, a great passer and he was a reliable shooter. But, even when he was trusted to play, he never scored more than 19 points in a single game or gather more than 10 assists in the farm team of a farm team. Grayson Boucher was a great basketball player, but not elite for the NBA.

100% Case in point: I tried out for the Arizona Diamondbacks when I was 15 years old. I'm the only one that I saw the scout talk to out of over 300 guy, mostly 18 and over. Sadly that was the last year I would ever play baseball. Sometimes it's just not in the cards.

Back in 2004, I watched a clip of And1 promotion video from a VCD attached in a magazine. Video showing street balls played by Hot Sauce. I didn’t know who that is and I speak barely any English back then, but I was so shocked and fascinated basketball can be played in such a manner. Later on, I discovered Escalade and Professor. It was a such a good time.

The way I see it is that basketball is an entertaining sport/game that draws in a lot of viewers, and the more entertaining it is it makes watching more fun for the spectators. And without spectators where would any sport/game be. I'm inspired by watching your game. And I say "your game" because you're fully in control of what you want to happen. Many blessings to you.
