I saw you at a presentation you did at Holy Apostles in Colorado Springs, CO. You are incredibly inspirational and can see Jesus working through you. Please continue to inspire Catholics especially during this difficult time.

Thanks, Chris. You are always encouraging and your energy and steadfastness are a great example. I'm sure you've seen that Bishop R. Barron is launching the Word on Fire Institute to train lay people in evangelization. Maybe it makes sense to join forces? Just a thought. God bless you, Chris. Run and do not grow weary!!! I've always felt that the clergy was not the reason why I attended the church. It is my faith each day, each week at mass, and mostly my belief in Jesus Christ that keeps me going strong. It is time for change, and for the people that are the church to make sure that clarity is a "define" in our catholic faith to protect all from conception to the elderly from any type of abuse. We need to follow the Truth... Jesus Christ!

Going to Church for 1 reason, IS to Worship my Lord Jesus Christ & pray for the Healing of all who are hurt & spiritually sick. Jesus said, I tell you that you are Peter, & on this rock I will build my church, & the gates of Hades will not overcome it.

Amen. The parishes around my area are always packed. Even after all this stuff. My parish alone has 7 masses on Sunday and 2 on Saturday night. Always full. Standing room only. You want your child to attend a catholic parish school? Good luck. There is always always a waiting list... Thanks be to almighty God

It looks like Christianity is dying in the West but in my locality in rural Northeast India, the Church is growing at a rapid rate even without a Priest. I have to go early if i want to get a seat inside the church otherwise i have to stand outside during the mass.

As God is so often saying to us through Our Lady in Medjugorje, in Her messages to the visionaries and on the 25th of each month to us, "Pray, pray, pray!" All the evils that are happening in the world, physically, emotionally, and spiritually, most can only be changed through an enormous sacrifice of prayer. My sadness is that in all the churches in our town, particularly the Roman Catholic Church, it is the spiritual activities that are on the decline such as: Adoration; Lectio divina; legion of Mary; prayer groups, etc. Above all we must develop our relationship with Jesus, as He did with His Father. "Deny your self, pick up your cross and follow Me", but this requires discipline and a sacrifice of time to draw on all the forms of prayer the greatest of which is receiving Jesus at Holy Communion. Come Lord Jesus!

Thank you for this important message. Could you define clericalism and share with us what the Laity should know and what we should be doing to fix it.
@mikey72726 жыл бұрын
He's right. We've probably all thought that the laity was going to eventually have to STEP UP in some major way, as the shortage of priests approaches "critical." Well, "eventually" is clearly here - NOW - in God's time, not ours. OK! Time to step up and show the evil one that attacking our priests will light the Word on Fire in the Catholic laity like NEVER before! While our priests get their house in order and recover from this attack, we will LOVE selflessly, Live the Word, Receive the Sacraments, let His Joy flow through us for all to see, knowing that He is with us always, yes, to the end of time!

When I considered leaving the Church we call Catholic, I asked myself in the voice of the Apostle Peter: To whom shall I go? Was I going to go to the Orthodox Church, the Coptic Church, the Assyrian Church? Or would I go to the heterodox and follow the precepts of men such as Martin Lucifer, Urlich Zwingli, John Calvin or any number of men and women who grew out of the Reformation? Listening to a talk by Scott Hahn, he said that leaving the Holy Eucharist is like leaving those in John 6:66 who no longer walked with Christ. Then a voice in my head told me I couldn't leave the Real & Substantial Presence of Christ. I encourage Catholics to start anew by reading the scriptures with a good Catholic Commentary. There are several out there. Come to the Zell Challenge Channel and we can suggest a few for you. Learn your faith first, then use the vast resources of the Catholic Church. You will find them rich with theology. We have Apologists that are destroying the myraids of Protestant and unProtestant Protestant denominations apologists. In this video there is laid out 25 Points where Jesus puts his finger on this thing He called "My Church." Just follow the scriptures detailing this Church thru the points we laid out and you will find that Church Christ established on the foundation of the faith of His Apostles with Himself as the cornerstone. Jesus is the Rock of Rocks and the Foundation of Foundations. The Universality of the Church we call Catholic - 25 Points - Part 3. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qKrLmHl4q8-Vnsk Blessings all

Positive message, but we also need to honestly address the big elephant in the room. According to the John Jay report, 80 percent of all molestations were done by gay priests with post pubescent boys. What are we going to do to address this matter?

Chris you're a convert. The 'Church' , that is the community of the faithful needs to take control of the finances and the properties that are currently in the absolute control of one man, the bishop. This must be done. The bureaucracy of bishops require oversight by the church - the laity.
@wagzel6 жыл бұрын
The clergy would never have their power if Jesus's simple directive of call no man father and don't pray aloud or in public or trust those who do was followed.
@fitnessdreams55696 жыл бұрын
You're right: Jesus is the center of it, not the priests. But by that logic, why not just join another Christian denomination? Orthodox especially is nearly identical to Catholic in its beliefs.
@billsd136 жыл бұрын
Yes , and if your bishop happens to be one of the suspected of cover up? I will never leave because of the Eucharist and every other good point. I support my parish. Support my bishop? Not sure yet. I have to wait on that, pray on that.
