I have the click bar and the Core Sensor 3 pro bar and prefer the click bar any day over the Core, the main reason is the click bar has a thicker radius and feels more comfortable on my fingers. In addition, when I want to power up or trim the kite I feel the click bar always gives me exactly what I want... I love my click bar even though is expensive AF!

I’m right there with you, Felix! 🤙🏽 Absolutely LOVE my Duotone Click Bar, especially when chasing waves. The quick and measured depower always helps me stay right in the pocket of the wave. Good winds to you, my friend. -Aaron

I had a click bar. I sold it. I preferred the simplicity of the quad bar. Also, a great feature of the quad that not too many bars have, is that you can adjust the length where the depower cleat sits! Great for shorter armed riders.

There is the click bar and equivalents like ocean rodeo bar etc and then there is everything else. Click bar though it has its flaws too. Handle foam material gets scraped. Floaters always get chopped and hard to put new ones in. Bad glue applied bars lose all branding logos and etc. Also, it is hard to untangle the click bar when you have inverted scenarios. Still, the pros of this bar are by far superior for intermediate and pro riders compared to pull to trim ones. It is past due to the new easy click in quick-release also need a better untwist system.

Hi! What is the difference riding the kite in the different distributor positions? Is it recommended to put it off for wave riding with the new 2023 click bar?

Debris/sand tend to get stuck in the rubber casing of the center lines. It causes it to wear out to the point of eventually snapping. Of course you must rinse your bar after every sesh and inspect it carefully. I suggest pulling the center lines out of the casing to inspect them regularly. This is known issue in our small kiting group and smg I am surprised was left out of the review

i'm kiting since 2007 and every session i tried the click bar was terrible, expecially in strong winds. Average/experienced kiters typically continuous trim the kite between jumping and going upwind. This bar make that operation a pain. It's good only if the kiter trim the kite occasionally (beginners maybe). And when the bar sheeted out.. to grab it again i needed to pull the centre plastic line. Power of the advertisement

Thank you for sharing your feedback on the Duotone Click Bar! 🤙🏽 It's important to hear different perspectives and experiences with different kiteboarding gear, as it can help other riders make more informed decisions when choosing their equipment. It's interesting to hear that you had a negative experience with the Click Bar, especially in strong winds. The Click Bar is designed to offer easy and convenient trimming and depowering of the kite, but it may not be the best fit for every rider's style and preferences. Some riders may prefer more traditional depower systems that allow for continuous trimming and control, while others may find the Click Bar to be more intuitive and user-friendly. Regarding the issue of sheeting out and grabbing the bar again, it's important to ensure that the depower line is properly adjusted and tensioned to avoid any issues with re-grabbing the bar. It's also a good idea to practice and get comfortable with the Click Bar's unique features and operation before using it in more challenging conditions. Thanks again for sharing your feedback, and if you have any more questions or comments, feel free to ask. Good winds! -Aaron

The only thing I like to see, is Duotone move to a click-in chicken loop. Once you have one, it’s tough to go back. Even though I don’t have to reset my chicken loop that often. Way easier when I Snowkite.

A safety system that requires 2 hands to lock in is not good enough in 2022. It's such a pain to use if self launching from a leash for example. And useless for a rope slider.

Thanks for sharing your experience. It sounds frustrating to deal with a bar that doesn't function properly. If the bar was sticking to the center line, it might have been an issue with the design or a manufacturing defect. If you haven’t already, it might be worth reaching out to Duotone or the retailer for support-they often provide solutions or replacements for issues like this. We appreciate your feedback, and it helps others who might be considering similar gear.

Powering it back up does take longer but is more precise. De power is incremental but super fast with the click. But I agree, standard trim is fine. Sometimes simple is best. I was also surprised by how popular it is with everyone. It’s definitely grown on me but I still use a normal bar for my personal setup. - Not currently using duotone. -Rygo

I still do not understand how you gonna reduce the angle of attack by not shorten the center lines ….. shorten the steering lines is a total different game , right or did I learn something wrong ??

Great question, my friend. 🤙🏽 I'm genuinely surprised that we don't receive more inquiries about this topic. Let me tell you about the incredible Duotone Click Bar and its one-of-a-kind trim system. Unlike any other bars out there, the Click Bar has a unique feature that allows you to adjust the length of the outside lines, rather than the inside lines. It's truly a remarkable innovation that sets it apart from the rest. Good winds! -Aaron www.mackiteboarding.com/search.php?search_query=%22duotone+click+control+bar%22&section=product

I recently had a brand new click bar, it failed on the first session. The click mechanism locked up instantly and this left me with no confidence in this bar, I sent it back for a refund. Much better to have a simple depower system that would never fail. Thing I like about this bar is the autorotate of the middle lines, I have just ordered the new Reedin x bar for this reason.

Kitesurfing already become a old men sport because of overpricing. A bar for 699 a kite for 2990 unbelievable. 30% up in just 1 year.

You play it down, but the binding of the center tube when turning the bar is really bad. And yes, way overpriced.
@MACkiteboarding
@MACkiteboarding 2 жыл бұрын
Hey-thanks for your insight, Jeffrey. 🤙🏽 I politely disagree on both points, my friend. While there can be some occasional binding of the center line, I find that a slight technique adjustment in my handling of the bar makes for easy use. And, in my opinion, that slight inconvenience is far overshadowed by always having my centerlines untwisted after loops. Is this the cheapest control bar on the market? No-absolutely not. However, the pure joy I get when using this bar definitely eases my grip on the wallet. Have you seen our "3 Things to Love About the Duotone Click Bar" video? Hopefully, that helps to explain my thoughts a bit more clearly than a couple of paragraphs ever will. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pIKZf6ucp7p1mrs Again-thank you for your thoughts, Jeffrey. I understand your frustration with the increase in prices for Duotone gear. 🤙🏽 It's not uncommon for kiteboarding gear to be on the expensive side, and it can be challenging to find affordable options that also meet your needs and preferences. While it's important to choose gear that you feel comfortable and confident using, it's also important to keep in mind that there are many other brands and products available on the market. You may find that other brands offer similar quality and performance at a lower price point. It's always a good idea to do your research, read reviews, and ask for recommendations from other riders before making a purchase. Good luck in finding the gear that works best for you! Good winds! -Aaron
