Why I’m Scared for Kung Fu Panda 4 (and Dreamworks)

Since Kung Fu Panda 4 is out tommorrow (today) I wanted to talk about how I'm worried for the movie and other Dreamworks properities. I hope a Shrek 5 or even a sequel to Puss In Boots: The Last Wish would be good, but given Dreamwork's track record it doesn't seem the case. This mix between the Shark Tales, Boss Babys, Shrek 2s, and Kung Fu Pandas being so wildly different is a phenomenon I'm labeling "The Dreamworks Problem".
(also I hope the Schaffrillas Productions tangent didn't distract too much lol. I just really like his videos!)

2020:DreamWorks releases 2 soulless sequels while Pixar releases two passion full originals, people shit on DreamWorks for mostly caring about money and praise Pixar for only caring about art. 2022: DreamWorks releases the bad guys which was really fun and the breath-taking puss in Boots:the Last Wish while Pixar releases the cringe Turning Red and boring Lightyear, people praise DreamWorks for delivering good story and turn on Pixar for pushing woke messages. 2024:DreamWorks have a disaster year while Pixar make a comeback, people turn on DreamWorks realizing they only deliver good stories one year and care about money half the time and return to Pixar realizing that they are having a good decade overall and that they only care about art 99% of the time.

I just watched it, and I kind of like the second half of the movie. At first, it felt like everything was rushing (from one scene to the other without getting time to reflect), which seems to be a trend in many recent kids movies. The latter half, explored more the new characters and gave surprise cameos which were fun to see (I wont spoil more). Anyways, I would say its definitely the weakest

Yeah, but I stopped listening to critics long ago after they gave bad reviews to Super Mario Bros Movie like the narrow minded, snotty stuck up tools they are.

​@Disneyfan82 Tbh, I personally thought the Mario Movie was not good, but I agree that critics are not always right. I still can't believe they loved She-Hulk, or there are masterpiece movies that I didn't enjoy a lot like Oppenheimer, Paddington 2, or Wonka or classics like Citizen Kane and Amelie. This is not to say they're bad movies (maybe my opinion changes on a rewatch), but overall, critics shouldn't be a way to influence whether you like something or not

​@@octavia3608we just watched it yesterday and minor spoilers warning (nothing really to spoil) I think this movie will go down as the most fucking boring movie ever, only people in theatre were us, friend and his wife, and a family with a little kid. the kid laughed once in the beginning and never again so I can't even say it's a good kids movie, the writing seemed lack luster and just bland, I called the twist the second someone talked. just so you are aware because I think it's important, the furious 5 are NOT in the movie untill the end because of "furious 5 stuff" when they finally show up it's suppose to be a cool training scene but I guess the actors didn't wanna do it? or they couldn't get the actors or something because the only one who has sound effects is the new character! like they couldn't even put any previous sound effects from previous movies to use while they taught the new kid what to do. all in all I give it a 4/10 mr.matter will make a video talking Abt it soon enough

I seriously don't understand how DreamWorks has any fans left after site like Abominable, the Spirit remake in 2021, The Bad Guys, Teenage Kraken, Trolls 3, The Bad Guys Christmas Special, Megamind 2, all of their shows and other shorts, Kfp 4, etc.
