When I was a bleach weekly anime watcher back in high school 10 years ago, I watched EVEN filler episodes. Admittedly I had no idea what filler is and thought whatever I.was watching was part of the full story. Even other animes like one piece. I thought it was annoying and strange that they introduced fillers in the middle of main storyline, but I got over it quickly because it was the thing I looked forward to every week after coming back from school on Tuesdays. So when I got to the fullbring arc, I watched it and enjoyed it like any other arc. when I joined the youtune anime community, and saw the amount of hate bleach was getting, especially the fullbring arc, I was flabbergasted! Surprised! Confused! Like did people watch the same thing I watched? Perhaps it was a mentality-age difference sorta thing? Because I certainly enjoyed it all the way. Heck, I had forgotten so much from the soul society arc that I only remembered espada arc stuff mainly. In fact, I had no favorite character until I started watching youtube clips and eventually being reminded of how trollish aizen was that I declared him as my favorite character. I now appreciate soul society arc even more for what it was when I saw it first time, but contrary to other people, it was an arc I easily forgot LOL. So seeing people say the series dived during the espada arc was ironic to me because it was the most memorable arc, with perhaps the hypest moment being vasto lorde ichigo which literally received a movie, and the aizen vs everyone moment which is my absolute favorite anime scene.

As a kid, society, my parents, and school staff kinda tried to drill into my mind that if you don't have some sort of plan for what you want to do after highschool your life is fucked. To this day, Ichigo resonates with me more than any other anime mc. He didn't want to become a Hokage or Pirate King - dude just wanted to live his life and protect the important people in it. Even at the end of the series, you kinda get the feeling he stuck with Isshin's clinic because things just happned to fall into place like that. I sure as fuck didn't know what I wanted to do after highschool and I'm definitely not knocking people who planned their lives out. You don't need some wild dream or insane goal to achieve to make your life meaningful. And there's nothing wrong with that.

On the topic of Ichigo as a shonen protagonist, I'd like to point something out that I've always loved: Ichigo's goal as a protagonist is... very selfish. He doesn't want to become king or a leader like his fellows in the big 3, but his goal is, somehow, even more selfish than theirs: he just wants his small, insular group of loved ones to be safe. He has no ambitions to change the world, or achieve a grand purpose or defy the most powerful military organization ever- those things happen, yes, but he doesn't want them. All Ichigo has ever wanted is to keep his family and friends safe. And the thing I love about it is... He fails. He fails so often, so greatly. His sisters get hurt. His father isn't who he thinks he is. His friends follow him into danger when the last thing he wants is to relive the pain and fear of someone he loves dying. They get injured in HIS NAME and it kills him inside. He isolates himself to prevent further issues and they just get hurt anyway. Ichigo fails CONSTANTLY in his one, singular goal. Because it's okay to fail. You aren't expected to succeed in something so ridiculous as keeping someone safe forever. And accepting that is part of growing up. I feel like a lot of people looked down on Ichigo for his lack of ambition, but the real value in his goals was how relatable they were, and how relatable he was in his failures. Just my two cents.

This is not a great shonen protagonist. Shonen protagonists needs to move the plot. Ichigo does not do anything by himself. If no one of his friends was kidnapped, ichigo would be a near normal dude for the rest of his life. You can have that in more mature series, like snk, but bleach is just a shonen like naruto or one piece. You do need a good protagonist. Ichigo is the weakest protagonist ive seen. I kinda like bleach, but not recognizing its flaws just make other peoples points more valid.
@guilegale8942
@guilegale8942 3 жыл бұрын
@@lucastavares5103 Seeing a flaw as a positive isn't not recognizing it, it's seeing it from another angle. People and art alike are made up of flaws and qualities. We must accept all of them to appreciate the whole. You also are making an assumption: That a shonen protagonist must be proactive and not reactive. This could not be further from the truth. Gohan is reactive, and I know many people who lament Toriyama's decision to bring Goku back as the central character. Are they wrong for liking Gohan? Further, you are exacting a very restrictive set of rules upon what is and isn't a shonen. Currently, CHAINSAW MAN is being published in Shonen Jump, as is Jujutsu Kaisen. Are they not mature series? Is Bleach itself not mature? It always tackled more serious issues head-on, discussing topics like grief, coping with loss, and the justification of murder, genocide, and corruption. One of its central themes is the idea of being thrust into a hostile environment you did not ask for, and Ichigo is the character used to carry that message. You are confusing an intentional theme for a weakness in writing. I would genuinely like to hear what you consider to be a strong shonen protagonist, because for me, Ichigo is hands down one of my all-time favorites.
@lucastavares5103
@lucastavares5103 3 жыл бұрын
@@guilegale8942 Luffy, naruto, deku, asta, gon, natsu, maka and her scythe, the brothers from fma, and the list goes on. What do they have in common ? They do things by themselves. Ichigo just became a shinigami and kept getting better because his friends kept getting kidnapped. This is not interesting to see. Id like to see more from renji than ichigo, because ichigo is like shimakaru, just want to live is life quietly. It is valid, of course, but as a protagonist of a action series, nah. And your argument of accepting its flaws as we were fucking braindeads is stupid. I like one piece , or naruto, for example, and i point the flaws i see in every opportunity i have, because i'm not a fanboy. Shonen anime are not as mature as they could be. Compare any shonen you want with Vinland Saga, Kaiji, Snk. They dont even compare . Bleach deals with those themes, as well naruto, one piece, boku no hero, hxh, jojo ... And im not referring as the genre shonen , im referring the shonen protagonist itself. Ichigo is boring. I dont wanna see a shonen protagonist that is just like me, makes the whole action thing goes away. The whole argument here is: you are trying to justify its flaws but just denying them, which makes you sound like a fanboy. I'm not trying to say that people who enjoy bleach are wrong, i'm pointing that everything has flaws, and you gotta admit that, point them, and make the whole genre evolve.

i will say even though Final Getsuga Tenshou is a deus ex machina, i still feel it was a really good moment for Ichigo as a character especially after everything he did throughout the Arrancar Arc. I felt that as he grew in power, he had to constantly question why he was fighting. His two major battles, Grimmjow and Ulquiorra, made him deeply question why he was fighting. Grimmjow believed he was fighting because of his instinct, and Ulquiorra literally drives him to death leaving him with only instinct. Instinct wins him the battle, but at what cost? He becomes a monster and he drives fear into the very people he's trying to save. I mean really consider what if Ichigo could have harnessed his abilities as a hollow and was able to hollowfy like he did against Ulquiorra? He probably could have defeated Aizen easily in that state. Ichigo became pure instinct. When Ichigo returns from this, he's hesitant about his mask, and just overall hesitant to become a monster. I think building towards defeating Aizen, Ichigo was also on the precipice of becoming that pure monster. Aizen believed that to become powerful, you need to become a monster. He also became more instinctual has he transformed, becoming more aggressive and less refined. Ichigo feared deeply that to defeat this monster himself, he WILL have to become a monster. I think this is also a bit clear when he goes to his inner world and faces Tensa Zangetsu. He sees Tensa Zangetsu as an enemy, he sees his Zanpakuto Spirits as those he needs to defeat so that he can defeat a great monster on the outside, but he learns that his own power isn't truly his enemy like he believed it to be after his recent experiences. Ichigo choosing to give up his shinigami power at the end and accepting fusion Zangetsu's blade was the moment where Ichigo had become stronger than Aizen mentally and reached enlightenment. Aizen was chained to the idea of becoming a monster, but Ichigo, especially with the experiences of the arc, especially with the evidence that being a monster was the only way to win, came above it. Ichigo found that power means nothing when you can't use it to protect people. And in choosing to use the Final Getsuga Tenshou, he was resolute. A big piece of me feels there genuinely wasn't any other way Kubo would have wanted to end the Arrancar Arc. I feel the themes culminate really well in here. I think the best understanding of Final Getsuga Tenshou isn't just some final power his zanpakuto offers, but sacrificing power never to use it again but to save everyone in the process. I think if the final getsuga tenshou didn't happen, Aizen's arc wouldn't be complete either. He needed to see someone surpass him and be proven wrong by example that power is not everything. Ichigo as a human surpassing all these levels btw also feels very Buddhist like many other elements of Bleach as this represents the idea that anyone can achieve enlightenment with the correct path. Yes, Ichigo is a mixture of all kinds of things, but he is still just a person.
@Pragabond
@Pragabond 3 жыл бұрын
This comment needs a lot more likes you just changed the way I think about a lot of things. Mostly the monster and enlightened being analogy between Ichigo and Aizen. I always thought it was cool that Ichigo was willing to sacrifice his powers to protect those he cares most about because what good is that power if you have no one left to love and care about after you decided to keep it? I did kind of enjoy the idea of power in Bleach coming from understanding yourself better but even greater power coming from understanding beyond yourself is an even cooler idea I never really thought about. I appreciate your take on the dichotomy between Ichigo and Aizen a lot.

Hey Tommo, I actually had a theory and wanted your opinion on it! I believe Hueco Mundo is the remains of the first world ruled by the Soul King. My thesis is for this is simply because there are ruins within Hueco Mundo. They were not built by the hollows, and even if they were where would they get the material? Hueco Mundo is an empty desert. Perhaps when the decision was made to split the worlds, Hueco Mundo was what was left over. Is it just me or a majority of fights that Eyepatch mentioned to be Deus Ex Machinas are totally not. For example, Yumichika vs. Charlotte, we’ve already known that he had an ability that he liked to keep secret from others in Soul Society, and when the opportunity of it not being revealed due to Charlotte’s Rosa Blanca, he used it. It didn’t just come from no where. It understand that it’s his opinion but he really seems to not pay enough attention when he is criticizing the series.

Thiis!!!! It was so hype for me. Yumichika in his squad around people like Kenpachi and Ikakku was expected a brutal power-type blade.. something manly, if you will.. So it made so much sense what he did to his Zanpakuto!! Calling its name wrong this whole time to release it as a multiblade claw thing really worked for me, as it was foreshadowed well.
@TresBS1
@TresBS1 3 жыл бұрын
True but how many were actually like Yumichika? We were told all the way back in the SS arc that he could drain spirit energy and we finally got all the details in the fight with Charlotte. So we knew about the ability, just not all the details. There was foreshadowing. Even Kira got some with Wabisuke increasing Hitsugaya's weight during Momo and Kira's little squabble before we got an actual explanation. How many others did we get, cuz I don't remember that many more like that. We got vague hints about certain things (like someone's bankai not being suited for training or used around allies) but that doesn't lock down what the abilities were, which means that, they could have been anything and, thus, feel like a Deus Ex Machina once actually used.

There's a difference between an analysis and just telling others that things are bad. Criticism is a necessary part of art, literature, and film. 12:07 the silver arrow DOESN'T come out of nowhere. If you pay attention to the scene, you saw that Ishida shots the arrow to himself and uses your power (antitesis) to make the arrow hit Yhwach. You can see this because the arrow cross Yhwach's chest from up to bottom, but Ishida was not above him, he was a level below. Using antitesis power to make the arrow hits Yhwach was the only way

If the story of Bleach was written by anybody but Kubo, I probably would have lost interest long ago. Kubo, with all his admitted flaws, writes his manga with a sense of style and weight that nobody else does. The whole of Bleach kind of feels to me like a fan fiction written by a middle-aged 15 year old, and i mean that in the best way possible. It's filled with one liners, poems, dark themes, philosophy, and most of all, passion. Honestly, everything BUT a 100% coherent storyline. And that's okay to me! Bleach is Kubo's creative sandbox, and he's taken full advantage of it. After all, if i wanted a perfect storyline, there's so MUCH out there! But are they written by Kubo? The answer is no. I'm still here because i love Kubo's passion. I'm going to watch Burn the Witch for the same reason. NOT because i want a perfect story.

I was 7-10 when I started Bleach. It was arguably the first series I “finished” (sans TYBW), and I always call it my “first” anime even though I watched a few episodes of Naruto and the Vampire Knight series before that. It was a series I grew up with and loved tremendously. I wasn’t as passionate about Bleach during my teenage years but it was still there in the back of my mind, reading fanfics of Bleach if they ever pop up. At 16, I finally took it upon myself to pick up where the anime left off and finish Bleach, especially knowing that the manga is ending. My passion for Bleach was rekindled, so much so that I marked the day of the last chapter and even created a character of my own for the series for the first time. Of all the fandom OCs I created, that Bleach OC ended up being my favourite, even though she wasn’t my first OC. I can’t tell whether I didn’t understand the severity of people’s hate or that I just didn’t care, but I always knew not everyone liked Bleach. My brother told me as much, and I took his words for it. Though he told me how barely anyone likes Bleach anymore, I responded, “You can’t just hate something that you grew up loving with your whole heart.” He accepted that no matter the hate or criticisms, I’ll love Bleach regardless. I’m turning 21 this year. About a year ago, someone on a Discord server told me Bleach TVBW will be receiving an anime adaptation. They probably just knew me as someone who watches anime, not realising I’m a huge Bleach fan. I was ecstatic when I heard the news, and almost lost it when the adaptation came to Netflix. No matter how old I am, I will never stop loving Bleach. If there are haters of the series, I block them and move on. I tune them out - they don’t matter. Hate all you want, but you’ll never change my mind on my love for this series.

I don't think Final Getsuga Tenshou was deus ex machina, it had kind of like a equal price with it, if you use this technique you will lose your shinigami powers, the final resort like in Hunter x Hunter when Gon trades his life energy and potential to kill Pitou(which is quite different in it's own way). Moreover, Ichigo alone wasn't able to defeat Aizen, it was Kisuke's Kidō in the end that sealed Aizen. And somewhat Aizen's subconscious desire to lose which was discussed later on, also played a role.

@Aditya-sd6uw
@Aditya-sd6uw 3 жыл бұрын
@@HiddenStr3ngth Well, it's in the TYBW arc, not revealing too much but still a big SPOILER for those who haven't read it yet. Ishhin had to give up his powers to save Masaki(Ichigo's mom) from the hollowfication and later on, his powers followed on to Ichigo keeping the hollow in him at bay, and once the hollow was awakened completely in Ichigo(probably during the fight with Byakuya in the soul siciety arc) his powers returned.
@Pragabond
@Pragabond 3 жыл бұрын
I think the Gon thing was far far more established as a thing. The way nen is set up you can do just about anything with it within the rules. It did have a price but that doesn't mean it isn't Deus Ex Machina. Ichigo just suddenly had a power up that made him multiple times stronger that was never discussed or hinted at or anything of the sort. I think it has nice thematic meaning in Ichigo giving up everything to keep anyone else from having to die and that being his main motivation but it was still a plot device that was the ONLY way Ichigo could've come close to touching Aizen at that point. It was hype but it was absolutely a last minute power that wasn't hinted at until suddenly it showed up and he had it. It did feel kind of disappointing solution and story wise despite it being super cool.
@Aditya-sd6uw
@Aditya-sd6uw 3 жыл бұрын
The way Hunter x Hunter avoids deus ex machina is by applying limitation to the nen abilities, the stricter and dangerous the limitations and rules the stronger the nen, Gon had potential which was known by every viewer and in the end when he broke completely he gave up all his potential for that power. Even though this power up wasn't build up it is saved from deus ex machina. Now coming to Bleach, The potential of Ichigo exceeds everyone and it should be known and it is later on revealed as well, Ichigo is the potential candidate for Soul King and has among the highest reiryoku if not the highest. His progression has been seen as he learns more of his zanpakuto and his powers but he always had been reluctant to accept his hollow powers and actually repressed them since he didn't know that his inner hollow was his true zanpakuto spirit, not only that they were repressed by his Quincy power i.e., old man zangetsu (aka False Zangetsu) also. Now that I've quite sort of established his power(s), coming to the Final Getsuga Tenshou. Isshin knew about this technique since his and Ichigo's Zanpakutos are quite similar(Engetsu and Zangetsu) as zanpakuto is the reflection of it's user(and they are father and son). Isshin was a captain and of course had trained much longer and properly with his zanpakuto to know about it so it only makes sense if Ishhin was the one to know of such technique. Ichigo learning FGT was also about resolving an inner struggle rather than just getting a killer technique. This technique was achieved only when Ichigo stopped rejecting his hollow power and finally opened up to it(as a part of his shinigami powers) and accepted the consequences of this technique. So after getting a taste of his powers and with the will to give them up for the "Final Getsuga Tenshou" to weaken Aizen such that Kisuke's Kidō could take effect and seal Aizen hence defeating him, is the reason why this isn't a deus ex machina at least for me. The circumstances in which FGT was learned were great as well and complemented the progression of the story. As @Pragmatic Dissent you said Nen thing is more established, well it had to be established in the beginning cause it complements the story that way. But Bleach unravels the mysteries as the story progresses, the truth behind Ichigo's powers and a lot of stuff are revealed later on and as the story progress which is great of way story telling and complements Bleach beautifully. Ichigo is strong AF is an understatement, after realizing his true powers and history in the end, he was able to have an equal battle(almighty aside) with Yhwach who just absorbed soul king and that's something. (In the end i would just like to say, I'm not thrashing Hunter x Hunter, i absolutely loved it, I'm just addressing somethings from it) AND I WOULD RECOMMEND WATCHING DBZimaran's videos on bleach, absolutelely great videos, covers almost every point one can make

I always enjoy videos like these. When we as the fans have to take a more critical view of the things we love. A lot of the criticism I hear comes from a fundamental misunderstand or just outright lack of knowledge so when you hear criticisms coming from a Bleach lore expert it has legitimacy behind it and makes it a really interesting watch. Super eyepatch wolfs video was good too. I appreciated how he corrected his past mistakes and it didn’t seem like he was hating just for the sake of it. Instead coming from a more critical perspective. Sure, the timing was precarious with the increase in bleach popularity but it still felt genuine and not like something he forced out to capitalize on the algorithm. In summary I liked both videos. I love that you make your own stories for Bleach because I've done the same! I wrote/came up with an entire arc that the damn Quincy kind of stole a giant plot mechanic from me! I was so happy/jealous. Now I want to just sit and talk and read quality bleach fic.

Hey MrTommo2304, Not gonna lie, I got into bleach 3 years ago and loved it. Naruto is probably my favorite series but bleach is a very close second favorite, I remember accidentally watching it with my friends when I was little and thinking Grimmjow was the coolest dude ever. I read and finished both TYBW and CFYOW and loved them. While I agree that there are flaws in Bleach, I do not believe there is a “fall” in the series. It’s your opinion at the end of the day, but I feel that if you are going to bash a series, read or watch all of it before hating on it. I feel like some of the bleach haters probably haven’t finished or even watched the series. I appreciate your videos and the time you put into them. Keep doing what you’re doing and we will keep supporting you.

Bleach will always be my primary legacy series. It's telling that it can make even the most obscure side characters memorable and sometimes more interesting than the main cast. The novels expanding upon and adding to the narrative alongside unique character studies/histories means the future is bright.

This is a great video flavor which allows us to personally share our infatuations with Bleach! I still remember the exact moment for me: One Cartoon Network Toonami night in the fall of 2012 I was dabbling on my laptop when Hiyori's scream during the Hollowfication experiment jostled all of my attention towards the TV. I was 😮 and kept rewinding over and over again. Still hear it now... Bleach is so intriguing to me because it touches on the deep wonder that every human has about what's really happening now and what happens after death. Face it, we all want to know. And I believe that the universe is a very busy place, but seems barren to humans because our perceptions are restricted in these clunky human flesh suits: our eyes are limited to only the visible portion of the electromagnetic spectrum... our ears can pick up just a sliver of the decibel range.... we have to be in the vicinity to smell something... our voices can only go so far depending on sound wave compressions... we have to be in immediate contact to physically feel foreign surfaces. Yet, we know that there is more metaphysically and have to jump through pineal gland enhancing/deep meditational hoops to find semi-answers to experiences like getting goosebumps when no one is around or gut-feeling intuition. Or, one can give up the pursuit of true understanding and put their trust in blind faith...🙏 Bleach combines physical reality with lower and higher dimensions in an imaginative yet believable way for me.

Eyepatchwolf's video should've been title, "I am sorry, Not, i just want more money, so i'm going to pretend to correct my mistakes from the last video, but i actually double down in some of them", even though he said a lot of stuff wrong on that first video, and still stands by most of it.

Bleach has a protagonist who is humble and very respectful (especially towards women). Ichigo is the best protagonist in any manga I know of. Ichigo is reactionary because there’s no way to be proactive with an unpredictable supernatural enemy. Kubo has done his best trying to finish it up (I wish he didn’t have to rush). I’m very happy with Bleach! Especially since Byakuya resembles my husband so much. 😊

I think SuperEyePatch Wolf doesn't have his own opinion, he made that video just because he wanted to be popular and loved by others, i have no sympathy for him. I don't even think people should watch him, because he only says things that he thinks people are want too hear. He is fake, there is nothing inside of him. He is not an individual.

I have been a Bleach fan since 2003 till today and I gotta say I have seen Bleach forums and communities having to notice more of Bleach's plot holes, flaws and imperfections rather than being the masterpiece in itself. I even wondered at the time if these people were really even fans in the first place. Some say Bleach arcs are repetitive, some say there's too many filler arcs but not all Animes and Mangas are perfect what kind of "perfection" these kind of fans wanted is beyond me. Bleach's delicate detail in just the character designs itself let alone the stories in each character and the arcs already had me at hello. Unlike other Anime and Manga in my opinion, Bleach has been one of the best for me. I also happen to have Bleach's Official Bootleg COLOR BLEACH book that has so much info about each Shinigami taichou which is like a book about basically how to be a shinigami so awesome. Can't wait for 2021 return of Bleach alongside Shaman King.

I really enjoyed bleach many years ago when I first watched the anime. I just recently started playing brave soul’s and it kind of renewed my interest in the series…I have been playing brave souls for about 2 weeks and admittedly I don’t really understand it fully at all. I have enjoyed it quite a lot and feel I have gotten some pretty good characters fairly quickly, but I don’t really understand alot of the end game content, link slots, special move slots, and all that jazz. Idk if I’ve just skipped over tutorials or if there wasn’t any, but I’m sure I’ll get it figured out eventually. Anyway I’ve been watching some your videos since then and it has renewed my appreciation for bleach. Keep up the good work

Pretty good and very charitable response Kubo Tite is nothing short of a genius in my opinion, I directly credit him as one of the main inspirations in my career as a writer Yeah Bleach has its problems but most if not all of it is chalked up to Kubo not getting a proper shake

Writing this review before I even hear your words. I literally binged your channel when I first found you recently because I am also a like minded fan (even tho I hate it to an extent 😅) and remember the kid vibes of having a dope anime to watch along with Naruto and dattebayo.com subs. Bleach def isn't perfect but fuck anyone who completely trashes it...trash one piece 😂😂 it's actually garb anime AND garb narration. Say what you will but at least bleach didnt piss time away for minutes with eye zoom-ins, recycled "action" clips, and 2min out of 23min actual action and hype scenes

Eyepatch only did the video as he’d been continually told a lot of his facts were wrong. It took him four years and then he did a half-arsed job of it. Those bad jokes he included just show that he is a childish idiot who wasn’t really repentant and that he had no intention of really reconsidering what he said. He’s like a little kid that got called out for lying but doesn’t want to apologise.
@Miksu__
@Miksu__ 3 жыл бұрын
Half-arsed job? Didn't he say he was working 80 hour work weeks for that video. Doesn't want to apologize? We are literally talking about his almost an hour-long apology. I don't get how much criticism needs to be sugarcoated for many bleach fans to digest it. The amount of hate towards wolf in this comment section is ridiculous.

MiksuOW oh, what about those stupid jokes he put in, like that ‘ha, ha, it’s still shit’? It look him YEARS to correct all the errors in the original video and even then he can’t resist taking the piss. He’s like a school kid who has been caught lying and doesn’t want to admit it. I expect he only did this because of all flak he was getting. And as for his reasons for not liking the thousand year blood war arc, what bullshit! It would be fine it he just came out and said that he doesn’t like Bleach anymore, but he seems to be actively campaigning against it. That’s what’s got Bleach fans upset and if you don’t like that you can stick where the sun doesn’t shine.
@Miksu__
@Miksu__ 3 жыл бұрын
@@markgray3648 The joke was clearly for comedic effect. His stance on bleach has made it very clear. Yes it took him years, he apologized for it multiple times and explained why he took so long. It sounds like you didn't watch his video. This is exactly the problem with some anime communities. When someone criticises a series, were their criticisms valid or not, they get called a hater. Even if someone thinks the criticism is bad, the person giving the criticism still isn't a hater just because of that. He also said that he likes bleach multiple times in the video
@markgray3648
@markgray3648 3 жыл бұрын
MiksuOW Comedic effect? In a supposedly apology video? Seems very misjudged to me. You know what I think he should have done? Just delete the original, inaccurate video. That way he wouldn’t have had ‘slave’ over making that apology video (in which he spends a significantly proportion of the time stating why he was right really - see, I did watch it) and the whole thing would have been sorted. I’m sure this whole thing wasn’t just some cynical exercise to improve his image on KZbin. Probably.
