Loved your insight...moved to Vancouver from our small town, and loved the experience in every aspect. Moved back home now and am so grateful for all learning and experiences. Definitely miss it at times, food, culture, community. Cheers to you for taking the plunge and making a life for yourself in a large and intimidating city, well worth it!

Finally, I do like Chicago here with the different people, culture, food/ restaurants and living. New York where my Father lives with my Step-Mother is just another great city with more great food, people and culture. So, thank you for sharing your thoughts and videos there in Vancouver. Continue for you two handsome guys in love with each other to be safe.

Small towns these days can have there niche but it was not always like that. I was born and lived in larger cities my whole life and sometimes I like to get away to the small town from time to time.where it is nice and peaceful. Thank you for your cooking video. Looked delicious

Hey Ryan, just discovered you channel tonight as I’m laying here and can’t sleep. The “day in a life as a like cook” video was cool, so I subbed. Then have been binge watching your videos for 2 hours! Love your videos, they’re so well done, fun, and informative. I also moved from Alberta to Vancouver. Vancouver was an incredible place to spend my 20’s and I visit every summer. Now in Montreal, an amazing place for many reasons, so I’m happy and excited everyday. Moving brings a new spark to life I find.

Hello Ryan, thank you for an excellent demonstration on making the delicious looking tarts. I appreciate the details and pointers only a chef would know. Also I like your retelling of your memories of home and what making the tart represents. Moving from a small town to the big city is not an easy decision and it takes a leap of faith. You knew what it would take to advance your career. You made the right move and your life is better for it. Stay well 👍🏻🙏😎

Saskatoon (berry pie) FTW! The pies look delicious. They make great jam as well, my Gramma would make it (and pies and tarts) when we picked the berries at the lake. A company here makes Saskatoon berry filled chocolates and Saskatoon berry syrup, both are delicious

Secondly, seeing you and your Hubby sharing you guy thought is awesome. I myself have lived in our two big cities because I have parents in both from a years ago divorce. But my parents our great people to be with. For me having lived in both New York and Chicago has been a great feeling my many years. And then I took a job to see the world in the airline industry and that has been such a great feeling. Years ago in college I took many history courses and I always would see the photos of different countries and I would say one day I am going to go there. Well, years later I did and it has been fun.

This was a really nice video to share. You made the decision t9 move t9 a larger city and that was good. The later cities there in Canada are nice and I have been to your city Vancouver and Toronto many times in career. But Ryan you are correct in sharing that it is great to gain the experience to see different cultures and people if one happens to be from a small town. And that small town growing up is the foundation that will always stay with a person.

Furthermore, my Mother stayed in Chicago after my parents had divorced each other so that why so stayed in Chicago for many years and again so was great in being here. Chicago has so much historical meaning here from so many industries. For one thing Chicago has so many companies that are headquartered here for so many years. That has been one if the main things that I have liked about being here. Well, again be safe.

Arrived by accident on your site while looking for recipes. Immediately appalled by your treatment of pie dough, so looked further into your background on You Tube. Goodness! What an interesting chap for someone from Alberta. But at least not from Saskatchewan. That would be a turn-off. No worries...I don't care about classifications. Unless it has to do with pie dough. I'm a rough puff type, but in a moment of passion I'll do a savoury turn with lard if asked politely. Cheerio.
