In England you would usually need a degree in the relevant subject to apply to study for a Masters Degree. Most undergraduate degrees here are 3 or 4 years, some 4 year degrees might have a foundation year, especially for those studying in England for the first time, and some a gap year for working abroad, otherwise it's normally 3 years. I don't know if a Master's is the same in the US, but here you would need around an upper second class Bachelor's degree before you could apply for a Master's. So to study for a masters in journalism you would have to have a degree in that subject before you could apply. And I'm pretty sure that the restrictions with the Student Visa are because people were getting student visas to study here, but attending 'schools' that were fraudulently set up just for people to get into the county to work - then disappear. There was a big thing about it a few years ago and a lot of places got closed down. You've got to think that anything that's set up to help genuine people will get infiltrated by people exploiting the system. And the wi-fi, maybe you were in a cheap hotel because unless you're out in the deep countryside, most places have fibre-optic broadband with decent speed. I'm sorry things didn't work out for you though.

I get it mate. As someone who has lived abroad with a choice it’s tough. Even with football, I once lived in a country where even though I had a citizenship from a country that they boarder and were part of three decades ago I was banned from certain matches for my club. Beyond football too it’s a complicated thing and it’s good you did what you wanted.

Stop the cap. England has bad wifi based on two hotels and a dorm? Y'know, a girl on tiktok a few weeks ago said the exact same story. Came to UK, then moved back cos the wifi was too slow. I think these stories aint legit. Lets see if another American pops up with the same tale in the near future.

He was unable to make videos and the point of moving to England for a year or two for school was to help make those videos which you can see didn’t help because of the internet problems.

London isn't Britain/UK there is much more to explore, when you say trash are you referring to = weather/rubbish on streets/architecture/people just curious btw, regardless sorry you had a negative experience and hopefully if you ever find yourself here again for whatever reason it will be better.
