Thats complete misinformation. The fuse protects the wire, not the device. The size fuse is dictated by the wire size not the amp draw of the device.

So fuse your power wire going to the 4 channel from the block , and u have fuses on board of most 4 channel amps anyways . The fuse under the hood is to protect the power wire.

Hello brother new sub here. Just wanna ask have you done a amp and sub install on a 2010 Cadillac srx. Can I use the regular remote wire on the stereo wire harness or do I need something else?

If it's really good 4 guage you might not... but considering you'll probably add another amp at some point, I definitely would.
