My original gameboy pocket came in that box. I didn't realize how uncommon it is now, but yeah not seeing many of the US one on ebay. Put that on the list of things I wish I didn't sell when I was a kid! Great find! Also, the screen was quite a bit better on the pocket. It's trash now but a big deal at the time.

The gameboy pocket does have some upgrades vs the original gameboy. The graphics no longer experience ghosting which was an issue on the original gameboy's graphics, the screen is bigger, and of course, no longer pee green. I enjoy playing original gameboy games on a pocket.

1:32 Ironically enough, I once stress tested my fat boi PS2 as a young rapscallion and left it on for TWO YEARS. The only reason it was shut off was a power outage during a storm. Powered right back on as soon as I could and let it go for another FEW YEARS. Still have it. Still works. Still play it. I don't know if I got a freak of nature console, but that thing is built like a brick shithouse.

It’s indeed legit. We have a lot of storage locker buyers that grab items in Los Angeles and sell the items here. Here’s the crazy thing: those Emmys were broken. Wonder what the fully formed ones were that the vendor may have found?

what the hell do you do with all those consoles? I mean how much can you flip a PS2/PS3 for I don't think here in europe I could get more then 50 for a ps2. so a 30 buy in price seems risky to me

Great question! I normally sell complete, working fat PS2’s for $70-$90, slims for $100. Generally speaking, Nintendo consoles sell for just under $100. $30-$40 for a console with multiple controllers is usually a good buy for me.

I go to a lot of thrift stores and come across a number of untested consoles and can confirm, you should definitely avoid fat ps2’s lol and that goes double for fat ps3’s. I think I’m about 50% success rate with fat ps2’s and 0 for 3 so far with fat ps3’s 😅. I’ve had good success with slims tho. Only one bad ps2 slim so far and batting 1000 (? Sports…?) with ps3 slims. I do avoid the soda stained / moldy ones tho 🤷🏻‍♂️

Did you try taking the controllers apart and cleaning them? Sometimes, sorta rarely, but sometimes, it does help/work. Ok, maybe I'm being an optimistic weirdo. Eh, I'd try cleaning them just in case, though.

I take controllers apart, remove electronic parts, then drop everything else in an ultrasonic cleaner. Removes all that dried hand sweat quite well 😂 I use a spray my husband bought for his stereo equipment to clean the electronic parts. It's called Deoxit. I use a very soft bristle brush to help clean off the motherboards after spraying. 👍
