Welcome to my journey It hasn't been easy and life has a way of getting in the way. But I pushed through all the BS and shed 60 pounds and have been progressing at a steady rate. I'm so excited to take you all along on this journey and I hope it inspires you to get back on your board. Please join me, like, subscribe and stay tuned for more skateboarding! It's been a long time off the board and I just wanted to share my experience for anyone looking to get back into skateboarding or even if you're new to it. I've missed skateboarding so much and after weight gain among other life issues skating just took a far back seat. Well my friends the time for regret is over because I'm back and loving it. I'm just a little bit older and heavier but with a healthy diet, exercise and skateboarding back in my life the pounds are melting off and flexibility and strength are coming back. This is great! I quit skating in my mid 20's when life got "serious". Now I'm 36 and my threes daughter's, 2, 4,and 5; all took up skating on their own accord. Blew my mind! They met some boys with skateboards and that was it. So, I built a miniramp in the baclyard, bought some boards and man it's been the most fun and coolest way to bond. Shaking the rust off isn't as easy as I hoped, but it's so much fin to skate with the kids. This channel is awesome man!

I'm still super ambitious about my skateboarding at 47. Not that I think I'm going to reach some super amazing level, but i am still progressing. I was decent as a younger skater but no real consistency with flip tricks just many years with mini-ramp and solid skills. i learned flip tricks for real at 46. i can still ollie a shigh as i ever cld, 2 ft or so, not bad. skateboarding pulled me out of 10+ yrs of severe depression and mourning

I stopped for something close to 17 years. I'm still rebuilding muscles, but after a year or so back i'm close to where i used to be, except now i can do some flip tricks and finally learned fs shuvs, and i think about skateboarding with a lot more clarity and specific technique

I am 50 now & i quit at 18 in my prime when our early 90's life kicked in.. I REGRET IT!! Throughout the 90's i'd hop on a board here & there when i saw one. Busted a kickflip here & there & thought i'd have it forever... Well fast forward to 2014 and at 40 years old i unretired when i happened to see a "RAY UNDERHILL" PowellPeralta deck. Possibly the very 1st deck to have a huge upkick spoon nose..... This got me psyched & i'd say i skate similar to you except i can't skate the skatepark. They always bothered me..If i do i like to AllHail Cardiel it & skate fast doing nothing but carving 50/50's and simple sh but fast. ~Now it's all about Curb dancing for me and couple locals who found my shpot i created at a smooth shopping plaza near my house... I waxed a doublesided curb & after 2 years it finally grinds.. and of course the plaza curb for Manny's & lipslide etc.. I am happy to see some of the kids leave teh skatepark and find the spot.. There's a note in "Sharpie" that i wrote small that says "Wax- look & you will find it" and i was pleased to see they did & even put it back.. Funny story was this was next to a "Pier1Imports store" and the wax i bought was that scented fancy wax and when you use it smells all fruity n shit...... Stay Gnarly Guys.. We came up in the greatest era!

Is the cave man tail slide the best way to start learning tail slide?

Idk🤷🏽‍♂️ What I did first was coaster tail slides, ride parallel to the curb pivot on your nose placing tail onto the curb and slide. Hope that helps, KEEP SHREDDING!❤️
