KZbin is a psychologically manipulative mistress indeed! I quit uploading 405 days ago. Then yesterday I looked at my KZbin Studio app, it said last upload was 404 days ago. 404 is an error code number and for some reason that made me feel like I made an error leaving it exactly that long, so I uploaded a video. Crazy 😮 Good to see you again 😊

We all have times when we need to step away, and doing that when you're someone who regularly puts out content must be even more difficult. Thank you for modeling good self-care. I'm in an "I just can't" place myself for so many reasons, and I think you're right to just acknowledge it. You're inspiring me to do the same, at least where I can (still gotta work). I enjoy your pen-related videos and will be here when you return, but taking care of yourself and Parker is the most important thing. As for a pen sale, I am very interested. I would prefer January/ February, but for me that's more about lack of time than lack of budget. (I never have enough budget for the pens I would like to own, so anytime is fine in that sense.) Glad to see you back, Carrie. I understand how you feel. I've written nearly 40 electronics repair articles, and it just didn't seem like anyone cared. I wondered why I even bothered spending all the time doing it. I didn't have to edit video, but I took many pictures with regular cameras and my microscope camera at different angles and lighting to get the best shots that I could. Plus organizing everything and writing the articles. So, I just quit and did my own thing for myself.

I try to release content regularly, but life gets in the way. One thing that helps me is to have content in the hopper that I can release. One day I may feel like filming 6 videos, for example. Your method is a little different, but it may also help to break up looking at the pens and looking at the face and film those at different times. And I do get the stress of being a new homeowner and having that money going out every month. I can't believe how much stress left my life when I paid off my house. I didn't even know until it was paid off that I was even feeling it. The main thing is to do what works for you. Your mental health and your time are the most important thing. Take care of Kerry first.

The beginning of this year I watched some videos from a fountain pen person who is talking about the challenges of getting all these expensive pens and how difficult it was, and blah blah blah blah blah, like she was gonna cut back and you know how that goes…... Two weeks later, she was back posting all kinds of fancy new pens every week and it was like ………really? I don’t watch her anymore. I love your honesty and your sense of humor and your realistic perspective of life. I can 100% relate to a lot of the stuff you talked about with creating the actual talking part of the video - I am so on it when it comes to creating the b-roll and taking the photos etc, but when it comes to talking I get a kind of social anxiety or something, or maybe imposter syndrome, or maybe editing doom, I cant really put my finger on it, I just seems like a giant mountain to climb. Hang in there, you are not alone 💜

Great that you are back on YT and feel ok about it! I am so happy the algorithms showed your video toay as it actually got me thinking about my pens again. I was deep into the rabbit hole and watched yours and other fp-enthusiasts on YT as much as I could. Then two-three years ago I just lost it. My poor pen collection collects dust ( well perhaps not literally as they are in drawers, but they are sorely neglected. ) I just lost interest and was so sorry for doing so. But that is life I suppose, other stuff of interest comes along, other worries hit and push something you loved to do onto the backburner. Economy hasn’t helped either-with the huge inflation that has plagued us here in Sweden, like any other country in the world, buying pens and ink just wasn’t an option, and still isn’t I am afraid. Morgaged have risen too much and food costs so much more-welll you all know how it is! So i am not at all surprised you needed a long pause from filming. I am really glad you did as it made my pen interest awaken again. I will go and open my pen drawer now and say:Hello lovelies, I am back! Good luck w further fiIming and please do not feel a pressure-we are happy to watch whenever you post! Ps As a dragonmaker I was intrigued by that game you showed-are there dragons in it? ( Revealing my age here as I suppose this is something everyone under fifty knows about🤗!)Ds.

I am only a recent subscriber to your channel and I have found your content very helpful in my return to using fountain pens after 55 years since the last time. I particularly take to your style. Can relate to some of what you expressed. KZbin has a way of making you feel like you're on a treadmill and can't stop, but when you finally do you see things much differently. It does take a lot of energy to make quality videos, and that takes away from other things in life. Hope you find the balance that works for you!

While I'm glad to see another video from you, please take care of your health, mentally and physically. I know the struggle of trying to regularly upload on KZbin (not on this personal channel, but others), and it can definitely take quite a toll. Overall, what matters is that you're able to take care of yourself, whatever that means for you, uploading less, taking breaks, whatever. There's only one you, and taking care is crucial. So please do what you need to in order to feel/be well. If/when you upload more videos, we'll be here.

If you intend returning to KZbin, why not throw in some DnD content centred around fountain pens? What's your level 17 wizards' favourite pen/ink combo? What notebook would he have used for his spell book? Cartridge or converter kinda wizard? I'm playing tonight and I need to go clean and refill my game pen (busted up TWSBI Eco with Noodler's Bay State Blue).
