But honestly not everybody is mean at all! One of my closest best friends is on a current tv show, and my aunt is a set teacher too. So many of them are so kind and sweet. Every career has bad people and cut throat people. Show business is not as horrible as people make it sound like honestly. It’s tough but not mean spirited. It can get that way though just like in any business or job. I’m sure people could say wall street is mean spirited, but that doesn’t mean every stock broker or NYC financeer is mean. We can’t generalize. Christy left because it was a good decision for HER. Los Angeles is a wonderful city, a great pulse point for America and the world. Every city/town has its negatives but just because it wasn’t right for Christy doesn’t mean it isn’t right for the millions that live in it.❣️

But Kim Possible is forever iconic and that's all you, so you're 100% already an icon and don't let anybody tell you you're a "has been" or you're "not relevant" ever fucking again. I applaud you Christy Not everyone is mean to stay in the spotlight A normal famous-free life is what many desire, it’s more than just work It is liberating though to get away from all the attention and prying eyes Best of luck to the days ahead! 👏

Thank you for being so raw and real! As a young artist who personally identified with a lot of the actors from the early 2000s, I really enjoy seeing more and more such as yourself exploring other avenues & showing people that you don’t have to live in LA to be an artist. It exists outside of that totally. Love from Canada. ☺️

wow so cool seeing a "child/teen" actress mature and really stand on her own. I love seeing the Hollywood bubble popped. Hopefully the more people hear things like this the more they will realize that "Hollywood lifestyle" and what we see in magazines or tv/movies is just not real.

Christy, I'm with you. I grew up in southern California and it is just not the same anymore. It's not a safe place to raise kids anymore. You ARE relevant and I appreciate all of your content. Well done to you for walking away from that toxic Hollywood world.

Welcome to Austin! Glad to have you! I'm so happy you were able to escape the industry almost unscathed. I see so many actors and actresses from childhood shows that I loved exist in a world of never ending hurt while remaining in the industry. You made it out and you're in my city. Lot's of love for you and your family!

On paper, the entertainment industry is such a beautiful thing. You get to collaborate with others on creating potentially groundbreaking art, but it’s so sad that a number of emotionally unstable narcissists ruin the experience for those who aren’t in it for the fame.

Wow, very brave of you Christy to come out and talk about depression and the other issues that surround it, as someone who suffers from depression quite a lot myself, I know how hard it can be. Anyway what else is in Austin Texas? The only thing that puts Austin Texas on the map for me, is the F1 US Grand Prix held in the city.

I think part of the appeal is that it doesn’t have privately or company owned major attractions. It’s a city with small town vibes. It does have UT Longhorns and in Texas college football is a big deal.

They're becoming pretty well known for their music festivals. Austin is super green compared to the rest of Texas, it reminds me a lot of San Diego because of how hilly it is. The rivers are beautiful there and there are good hiking spots. You can actually bike in the streets because they have bike lanes there, unlike other parts of Texas. In Houston, there are hardly even side walks in most places.

It probably helps that she didn’t have parents who pushed her and exploited her into acting for their own benefits. That’s what causes lots of stars to have resentment and even go down the wrong path.

Hi, Christy! I loved you as Kim Possible growing up. I am glad you got out of Hollywood before it destroyed you.
