Why I regret C6 Yelan.

This is 23 minutes of me going over what C6 Yelan is useful for, why I think it's boring, and my regret of getting her C6. Plus some of my usual related ramblings.

Edit (because I need to stop replying to comments in this video): I'd have made this video differently in hindsight, but in case it wasn't obvious, this was recorded in one hour long take then edited down to 20 mins, and is largely just rambly thoughts and examples I came up with off the spot. It's not really a video essay on C6ing characters, or an essay on Yelan, that would have required literally any of this video to be scripted lol. Its just my rambly thoughts on why I regret C6 Yelan after having her for over a year.* Please stop projecting on to me your thoughts on whether or not I dislike the game just because I make one thing that barely even scratches the surface of critiquing something like C6 characters, let alone Genshin in general. Checkout my other videos (like the one linked below) if you want to see me having fun in Genshin, as I genuinely think there are many awesome aspects to Genshin that make it a ton of fun as a long term player. C6 Yelan just isnt one of them for me. If you found your C6 worthwhile, Im glad for you, but its not how I enjoy the game. I'd turn off her C6 forever if I could. *(as an aside, I dont believe I mentioned in the video that I had her C6 since her original banner--I got the impression in some comments that some people thought I just C6d Yelan on the recent banner--which is my bad, but tbh it barely matters because this was basically the same opinion I had of her C6 after I got bored of it two weeks after having it. But it is relevant to bring up because compared to now, I barely understood genshin on a mechanic level, and I had only just started 36 starring the abyss for like a month before getting c6 yelan. I would not have even made the stupid promise to get her c6 had I understood back then what I do about the game now. Hindsight is 20/20, alas.) It gave me renewed value out of Yelan (not her C6 though lol)

I joked about that at first when I saw how strong she was but, I honestly do not see any point in pulling any characters once steadily clearing abyss. The strongest teams in 1.X are still clearing the abyss with top times. The rotations are the same no matter the enemies because most teams only have one way of playing. The reason I got c6 Yelan is because now all those characters with awesome animations that Hoyo never intended for anyone to actually use are useful. She enabled a new way to play the game with just about every character. Clearing with duos of Yelan plus Physical Zhongli, on-field Xiangling, Sayu, Yun Jin, MONA! I wanted to use Mona on field in the abyss since forever without having to craft a rocket just to get her to do any damage. c6 Yelan actually revitalized the game because I always wanted to use these characters on field doing normal attacks and dodging. I've honestly felt like most of the cast were incomplete because their normal attacks were so useless, it was too severe a DPS loss to have most characters on field for longer than their burst animation, which essentially makes them summons more than playable characters. c6 Yelan enables everyone. So much fun using on-field Beidou and just dodging, attacking, countering each enemy in enough time to still clear. If I sorely need AoE, c6 Yelan is almost always enough especially combined with my on-field character's skills. It really does feel like a different game that is as flexible as Genshin has ever felt. The other great reason for c6 Yelan is that artifact farming is the worst progression system ever in gaming. I swore after my Itto debacle to never farm another artifact and I haven't. I also haven't pulled any new characters since Yelan for mostly the same reason. She's powerful enough and synergizes so well that perfect builds aren't necessary on weaker characters you want to use. I'm never doing that crap again. So yeah, the only downside to c6 Yelan is that there's no one else like her to use on the other side. Zhongli, Sayu, and Xiangling have some of the most fun normal attacks in the game. Try using them with Yelan and I think you'll see a whole new light (Normal attack builds so you have to dodge and evade). I hope we get another similar enabler eventually and I'll finally have a reason to pull again.

yea the dislikes are crazy... i fully agree with this perspective though. im ar 57, and since 56 i could comfortably 36 star abyss with hu tao / raiden on one half, and hyperbloom / alhaitham spread on the other, i chose to get c6 scara, not because im some kind of scara simp, but because i find it really fun to play him *without* a shielder, and almost every other team I play you simply cant die and its just damage output to worry about. The way his normal attacks at c6 just paint the screen teal and blue with yelan burst and hydro swirls combined with his c2 kind of rewarding wasting his e stamina if the enemies health is low enough because his burst hits an upwards of 550k when you're below half (feels sooo good to burst and take my hands off the keyboard and mouse and just watch the 3 maguu kenki's health go from above half, to zero whenever they're in the abyss), and the risk of using him without a shield knowing he can die in a hit or 2 since he's squishy, so you actually kind of feel good when you dodge all the enemies attacks without just being able to spam leftclick with zhongli. all that combined with him having imo the kit with the best sound design in the game just gets my adrenaline / dopamine going a lot more than just playing raiden in bennett circle and just spamming the exact same combo every time lol. (although i will admit that raidens initial burst slash is pretty satisfying) sorry its a bit long but yea I think wanderer c6 is definitely one of those objectively fun characters. had him c0 for a while and he was still super enjoyable to play then

The idea of fun is different for each individual. Mine are open genshin for 10 mins everyday after working hours to do quest and spending 10-20 mins every 2 weeks for abyss. But in the end, rich people can pretend to be poor if they choose to, but poor people dont have the capabilities to be rich on demand.

Heck, won't even slowly work my way there, because C4 is meh. And besides, I don't feel inclined to give Hoyoverse that extra money when they can't be bothered to deal with glaring issues in their game.

I have c6 Eula but I dont regret it since I rarely ever pull and if she wasn't c6 I might have dropped her long ago. My c0 characters rarely get used but the ones with cons are constantly in rotation.

@@joeyisabsb1 lol Eula is the biggest "regret" character in the game. It's why they waited so long to re-run her banner. I pulled Eula because I'm not f2p and am not really concerned about not getting characters, but I would have 100% not pulled if not f2p. Spent a ton of resources building her (few months) and she still isn't ideal, and I've mostly benched her. Everybody who plays Eula benches her incredibly fast, lol.

I did it a couple of times for the challenge but tbh, Genshin isn’t perticular fun with one Character and without reactions. You suddenly feel how much downtime is built into even the strongest character.

I did do it when I first got her c6, but Ive not really tried meaningfully since, because I dont find it fun. If that lets anyone get enjoyment out of a c6 or whatever thats good, but what I enjoy is the team building aspect of this game with how different characters and their abilities work together. Remove the team and you've got something thats novel once to me, and never again. Something that is momentarily novel is kinda just... not a good reason for having a c6. Ultimately, though, that falls within self prescripted goals to try to find something, anything that could make c6 relevant. There isnt any actual in game reason to solo clear abyss outside of you finding it fun. Fun once and never again aint worth $1k to me.

@@Solunerra Understandable if you think about it without reactions and team building Genshin is just one of a million other games and honestly more on the lower end of the list. Not to say people aren’t allowed to have fun with the game without that but for most people it is like Mario without jumping, Skirym without dragons or Ego shooter without Weapons.

For me the only reason to c6 5* character is this character being your favourite. Getting c6 only because meta says it's good is waste of money/primo. I c6'ed my Zhongli two years ago. Yeah, Zhongli was meta at the time but not his constellations, moreover many people thinked Zhongli's c6 was bad because it doesn't work good with Hu Tao. But...Zhongli was my main then and now is my second main...and I am happy to have maxed out main. Simply as that.

Agreed. I absolutely adore all my archers and wanted to c6 one of them eventually and I choose Yelan for the value her cons provide over other units cons. I don't regret it because she is my most used and favorite out of all my darlings. Plus I'm at the point where I have all the units I want and a huge excess of primos and end up pulling 5 star cons because who needs 300 extra wishes lying around at any given time?

My favorite character is Yae, and I do not want to c6 her lol. I did get C2 after a rerun because I wanted the range upgrade lol. Id rather get new characters that could enable me to use Yae in new ways in a team with them than just get arbitrary damage upgrades that continue to erode the challenge of the only hard combat we have in the game. I don't think there is any reason at all people should feel like they need to c6 a unit just because they like them a lot, but if that gives you enjoyment more power to you, of course.

Zhongli is one of my fav too and he is at c2 right now, do I want to c6 him? nope, c2 is more than enough cz I'd rather improving my acc with some nice gears and weapon or pulling some important universal cons like nahida c2/kazuha c2.

i just dont like having many characters, I like having my favorite characters and getting them as strong as possible with cons and good artifacts, also since artifact grinding is 💀 having less characters is a benefit for me cause i dont need to spend months farming for good artifacts on like 10 different characters or something

Having C6 yelan just makes farming for artifacts much more bearable with how fast she clears them, especially since my time online is quite limited. Plus in the abyss although she can sweep one entire side I always mix her up with my favorite characters just so the fun factor is still there. She's just incredibly amazing and fun and I don't regret her at all. :)

This doesn't only apply to Yelan, Its also the same with other C6 5* units. It makes the game extremely easy and boring. That's why when some content creators say "Genshin combat aint all that fun, it's basic and boring." then you take a look at their account and all their units are C6 , which I find hilarious and hypocritical. I have 2 acc's, a whale one with multiple C6 5* and a welk BP one. The Welk BP one is the one im having the most fun in, because I don't one shot everything.

My general consensus for this kind of stuff is: We build meta characters solely for the purpose of having freedom with the 2nd team in abyss. So long as ONE team can clear it real fast, you can enjoy yourself with the other team - have something really unconventional like AA Zhongli

for what my friend said, having Yelan c6 or Raiden c2 or Nahida c2, any strong high cons 5* is that just makes the game less stressful overal so the grind for primos to get characters that we want but arent strong becomes easier and doesnt hurt the "economy" of the account, for f2ps thats everything really, imagine being me who is a f2p who went for c2 Klee lol

It doesn't really fundamentally change the grind though. You can easily make very strong teams that make the grind easier and not stressful without a c6 or c2.

@@Solunerra True but then again, having at least one of those "guarantee 36* clears tickets" is one of the good parts about having them; as I said, Im a c2 Klee haver as a f2p, the way I managed to not care about getting strong units anymore is the fact I was able to save and get Raiden c3 and Im now going for Yoi c6 on the long run cuz she deserves it and boy I definitely like having Raiden to help me on this quest. I do sometimes try abyss without Raiden like this last rotation for example but its just... pain, I managed to do it with international and kuki hyperbloom but Jesus christ I had to develop 500iq plays just for 12-1 when I could just have used Raiden in one side and have more than two minutes to deal with the other side. The average player wont even try abyss more than 5 times, trust me, I have a friend with Ayaka+her weapon and the whole international team who couldnt clear floor 12 period, not even 1 star each chamber cuz if he failed once he wouldnt even try again... Thats why I still recommend going for a high cons really strong 5* at least once and then you can stop caring that much about min-maxing and meta ever again and, you know, for a f2p to have the benefits of having a limited 5* at c6 is a pretty cool reward showing how much time they dedicated to this game imo.

I'm planning to C6 my Wanderer as my first and probably only C6 5 star. He's C2 and without a doubt one of my favorite characters. I love everything about him: his story, music, design, playstyle/kit, awesome dmg, and just flying around to places most characters can't get to. Also: C6 longer flight time is a win!

This is exactly my situation. His kit is EASILY my favorite in the game, and I dont see how they can top it for my tastes personally. I 36 star the abyss fine, but he is definitely the fastest each time already. If I just beef him up even more, than the other side's teams dont need to sweat so much. Plus his C6 looks like just more damage, but it actually doubles how quickly you can use his free dash as well, so it alters his playstyle ina fun way (and doubles his swirl ICD, so doubles the shield shred too)

imo, the problem you have is that you got six constellations of a character that's "good". the mindset is usually meta > preference and to me that's just plain wrong. characters i'm planning to c6 are characters i love playing with but also characters i adore adore the designs, story, lore, etc. of. lucky for me, most of them are 4☆s but i'm still planning on getting all 6 constellations of baizhu, miko, keqing and perhaps some future characters i grow to like. many might say that those characters aren't meta so they're bad but meta is not the rule i'm following.

As someone with a C6 Baizhu, I agree. At C0 he's perhaps an underwhelming character but he's quite insane with constellations (does similiar damage to Nahida while healing like Kokomi in a dps build) and I simply got his C6 because he's one of my favourite characters. Next goal is C6 Lyney, a good but not meta-defining character, but again, one of my favourites. And even though I also really love Nahida, I'm comfortable leaving her at C0 because she's already broken as she is. Then again, even a "bad" character is probably very strong at C6

This happened to me although to a lesser degree with C3 R1 Raiden, first weeks were really fun, but then I realized the game was becoming too easy, so I stopped using her hypercarry team. Now I pair her with Alhaitham and tbf I barely use her burst now because this guy deals too much dmg

You can actually buff HP with food (Sakura Shrimp Crackers for example), but her C4 can still be useful for Spiral Abyss.

The only reason I find myself wanting more constellations is if it changes the gameplay. OR if I love that character. I have c2 Kokomi, and I want her to be c6. She is my favorite character. A jack of all trades. I have c2 Kazuha. I have no desire to get more constellations for him. I like having the benefit of the extra slash, as well as an increase in EM during his burst. I accidentally got c1 Baizhu, but its actually come in handy when i want to apply dendro from a distance as well as extra heals in co op. My other favorite characters such as Yae, or Nahida, I do not currently desire to get their constellations. The only one I would consider is c2 Yae for more range on her totems.

Sometimes when i get commision to destroy hilichurl towers , i remember that they were once people and i try to get the towers from a distance with Ayaka charge attacks and leave. 😅

Glad you made the comments about C4 that you did. I've been feeling the same way recently, especially with future Fontaine characters like Neuvilette/ Furina who will surely scale with HP. I think that con is a drastic benefit and nobody really talks about it.

This made me realize, the only reason why I'm still playing everyday even after completing all the quests, hangouts, explorations, basically I dont have anything else to do ingame aside from dailies, is that my characters arent that strong and built properly, I'm still burning my resin on domains daily and I'm enjoying that, I still have something to work on. If all/most of my characters are broken, I'll probably get bored and just dropped genshin until new patch arrives.

As someone who has long awaited to C6 Eula, having it now just feels surreal to the point where it’s empty. Do I regret it, no. But the bad thing about investing too much on a single character, is that every character you get afterwards might feel underwhelming.

I currently have C5 Venti and will be pulling for his last con soon. Been a DPS Venti main and his damage is not so overwhelming. Somehow, its really satisfying to see him make 40-60k damage with E (hold) but I dont feel he is that strong even with the constellation (and sadly his C6 is just like anemo traveller c6 which sucks). Anyways, I love him, and I did it because of it. ❤

C6R4 Wanderer main here, I didnt regret all this saving, I skipped every Sumeru character to get that, but I understand that its pointless to C6R5 a character from de point of view of the games dificulty, only pull for C6 if you really like the character and you are able to let go a lot of characters to do that. In general C6'ing makes no sense to me, even if it's your fav char, you're bloating their numbers, which makes you have less fun with them and they kill everything faster than everyone else, so you'll ONLY play them (which WILL make you burn out after a certain amount of time if it's not a really unique C6 like Kazuha or Itto) Like, isn't just farming tons of artifacts, triple crowning and investing tons into their supports a better way to pay respects to a character over whaling on them, ESPECIALLY because you can say the classic F2PBTW after you flex your huge damage?

As someone who has the same issue as you (rolled for some c2 characters and made the content too easy) I have a few solutions (that are unfortunately not perfect): remove weapon, remove characters in the team (solo or duo runs) or play other characters to « change it up ».

to be fair the content is too easy too even if you have everything at c0. as long as your artifacts and team are smartly chosen there really isnt any difficulty in this game at all.

get c1 yelan it's way better then you think, extra dmg to 2 shot most of mobs on open world, and lesser time travel et lesser ER needs for your yelan and your team by a lot because of the extra particule generation

C1 Yelan is honestly a rare constellation that I think can be worthwhile since its so nice for OW and for lessening ER needs. It also properly enables the nuke Yelan team I will be showing in tomorrows video... (that said save your summons if there are upcoming characters you think you may pull for)

For goblet on Yelan? HP is fairly competitive with Hydro dmg, so if you have no decent hydro goblet but a really good HP goblet the HP one is probably better. But if you are assuming equivalent stats between the two, Hydro is better at a baseline, and notably a Hydro goblet can have HP% substats, whereas a HP goblet cannot have hydro dmg% substats, so the ceiling of quality for a HP goblet is lower than a Hydro goblet too

I've been running into something similar with c6 nahida. On paper she's really interesting and her cons are really good, but trying to make her work has been hard and specifically trying to change her playstyle around it to make use of c6. I have a quicken team that clears everything without difficulty, and trying to maximize her has me keep going back to that anyway and bumping up the dps to unrealistic levels. It makes numbers bigger, but when the hardest content in the game isn't that hard, what's the point.

To be fair c4 yelan is the broken one. Its a stacking resetting (25s duration) insta buffing 20% Hp for hp scaling chars (Stacks to 40% if at least 2 enemies or survives your first rotation). Its like a bennett for HP carries. Its potentially free 8 substats, and we are in a version where we dont have hp% buffing capabilities except resonance.

I got her c6 on original banner. The first Yelan I got was guaranteed at pity, which I would functionally count as 150 for the first copy then. I know I won the 50/50 for c1, probably near pity, and then I recall it taking about 300 for 5 more copies, which was very lucky. There is a video of me wishing for her c2-c6. So all in all about 525 summons for c6, and her weapon I was not very lucky on. If I recall about 150 for (I know I had to max the fate path, dont recall earlies). So 675 total for c6r1(I technically do have R2 aqua because I got a lucky early around 20 pity after I got R1, why I continued wishing after R1 I dont recall...)

i have c6 baizhu and i dont regret it. hes my favorite character in the entire game and ive waited so long for him so yeah he was worth it. hes not a dps or anything (if anything hes in a healer or hybrid build most of the time). i think the main difference with yelan (a sub dps/dps at c6) and baizhus (support and sup dps at c6) is that baizhus kit inherently changes at c6, it gives you insane dendro app even if u dont have him on field. that said his c6 doesnt change his single target problem but having a bunch of dendro app without nahida is fun. also i spent around 600 bucks for c6 baizhu so yeah it was worth haha

Is this ragebait? It just sounds like you were expecting things that weren't written in her constellations. She's my favorite character and her constellations allow me to put her in more teams and have her more on field. Having her also allows me to use weaker characters for the other side of the abyss because they have more time to clear. I really like some weaker 4* but I can now use them more often because Yelan clears her side faster. 17:53 "What's the point in it being strong if there's no content in the game that necessities it" first of all something like that would be extremely bad for the game (though we get those hard boss events where it could be used), but what's the point in building characters like Bennet, Nahida and Kazuha then? They do the same things. I get your point about more characters = more fun, but the rest seems like complaining for the sake of complaining tbh.

Bennett, Nahida, Kazuha all are key units who in my opinion are best used to make worse options better, therefore are enablers for fun teams, and are literally nothing like C6 Yelan lol. Can you illustrate something specifically that C6 Yelan enables* that isnt just using Yelan more like a hypercarry form or soloing abyss? I'm not shagging people who enjoy doing that, if what you enjoy in Genshin is spending a thousand dollars to make Yelan be on field for a few more seconds or soloing abyss, go for it, but c6 isnt necessary to do something like using Yelan on field more lol. Watch my Yelan skill vape video in the pinned comment from proof of that. But for me, c6 yelan is near useless, and makes the game more boring if actively used outside of daily farming. My apologies if saying my thoughts on having a C6 for well over a year counts as bait for some reason... @@Solunerra Sorry for the REALLY late response, but why is wanting to use Yelan as an onfield hypercarry not enabling fun teams? I run Yelan, Mona, Kazuha and Xiangling/Bennet everywhere rn but that team wouldn't be that valid without C6 Yelan. Her C4 is a pretty cool niche in HP scaling teams and her C6 helps the team to do more dmg per rotation. I also didn't spent more than the monthly welkin to get her since I just save after each of her banners and barely summoned for other units. I wouldn't recommend to pay for any constellation in the game, but some of them are just fun. I get your point here, but I feel like the video was delivering another message.

What value will other Hydro characters bring since there is a busted one already in the game? Neuvillette is just a DPS, even if his dmg is busted, the only time he does in on-field, while Yelan breaks the game even off-field. At the end of the day the game is easy and you pull for the characters you like. 😅

I have kazuha’s c6 and got it this summer after saving for a while, he’s my favorite character and I will say overall it definitely has more of a fun factor and less of a power creep feeling, as it just gives you the anemo infusion and makes them strong enough to matter with some em scaling. It changes up your combos on him, and incentivizes you to string together skill taps to essentially have 100% uptime on infusion. It’s the most unique dps feeling in the game imo. I run him on mistsplitter and 2pc atk and 2pc anemo dmg. He’s very strong but needs valuable support to make him a hyper carry like xiao. This feeling changed when I got c6 Furina. I wished for c6 r1 Furina on a guarantee and spent some money, and I can say that I feel the same way about Furina as you do yelan. Her damage is so high on her skill and her NA combo that I can clear abyss with any team composition because she doesn’t even need a healer and can run solo as the off field dps (lmao) with golden troupe and as the healer. Sometimes I die on copellia/copellius because they hit hard enough for it to matter, but that’s about it. C6’s like kazuha’s are the only ones I’m willing to go for anymore because they actually give a fun factor to those characters and make them viable in their own way.

I think when we first arrive in teyvat like in the mondstat and liyue, getting strong is kinda the point because the game content and story used to be hard to beat especially in story quests such as dragons spine. But now everything is just kinda a waste because the game contents become too easy, monster dies in one shot, the fighting scene in the story quest is too easy, the over world fighting act is not exciting, weakly boss can die in one shot, ect. We just have the freaking abyss to become our purpose of getting strong. As the end game player, there's no purpose again to getting stronger except the abyss. We just hope that mihoyo will add two or three more world level so our purpose to get stronger exist again. Just an opinion.

i also c6 wanderer coz thats been a big project for me. I a low spender and saved since 3.0 till 3.8 for c6 wanderer. Its freaking fun and abyss a bit easier. I just need his signature or other compatible weapon for him. Im thinking of getting cons for other characters too but for now there none that pick my interest. My friends told me to c6 yelan coz i got her signature, but her c6 playstle arent for me imo.

When starting the game, I was thinking "oh there are only 3 characters I want to C6: Yoimiya, Zhongli and then Yelan" It was like the long time vertical investment I was hoping for. When Yelan reran in 3.4 I got her, her C1 and weapon, I already felt happy and fulfilled. And now on 4.0, I got the C2 and just by going the C2 it made my Abyss clears way (too) easier. Actually it's to the point it's still enjoyable, bcs running C2 Yelan allows me to play funny 4* I love such as Ningguang or Razor in the other half. But I don't think C6ing Yelan is in my plans for the future sadly though I simp so much. Just because it would make the fun not fun anymore. If it were to speedrun, I'd prefer "speedrun" with "actual teams" with 4 characters lol (such as Nilou Bloom, Childe International...) Though since Zhongli and Yoimiya's constellations aren't "that great" it's still fun to get them so I'm probably better going for those ^^

I c6 childe, him with nahida, Raiden/ miko to me.. that is my wombocombo. I enjoy playing them because they melt through mobs of enemies health, but since they are at frienship 10, i branch out and try new things... i dont Q a lot when adventuring around tevat, so character that have a dencnt up time on their active/passive E skills alway a nice pull for me. Meta team are usually for abyss, which is nice way to earn primo, but i dont find that conetent particularly "Fun", So i barely touch it.

I guess I get somewhat in some odd way the "making abyss as hard as possible" way of thinking, but for me who hates it (Abyss) to the core of my being and never want to spend even a minute there, C6 Yelan with C6 Nahida and Raiden would be ideal. Though, I have not even a single one C6 5* so far, but I neither have never ever been able to get more than 29* from F9-12, as I just don't want to spend my time there.

Yep, when I first got her on my experimental account, I soon noticed that her gameplay is really boring most of the time. That is why I made a mental note to myself: only get Yelan near the end of the game, if you feel like you don't have enough damage with your Xingqui. Otherwise, just pass for now, get someone more fun to play, like Faruzan or Klee.

as for me, I like to clear enemy more faster because most enemy in Genshin was usually tanky, by having Yelan really make my grind come easy. I was not fully f2p (welkin only) but having her on c0 already make me happy because her gameplay was fun. I think you feel bored its probably the combat was quite stiff and without end game contents with overpowered characters is just a waste. That was the case for me, so I always grind and make daily quest faster so I can jump back on PGR but hey, different people have different reason.

I really don't get it, you complain she does more damage now but what were you expecting when you decided to c6 her ? What made you make that decision in the first place ? For me, seeing my favourite character clearing things fast and being strong makes me feel a bit more happier and eager to continue to main them. You sound like you didn't really regret c6 yelan, but rsther regretted turning into a whale and realizing having c6 characters is not really worth it in this kind of game. I do agree that one doesn't need to whale on every character but i still see the appeal when it comes to a character that i like, not because i need to do it to clear something, but simply because i like to dedicate my ressources for this one character I love.

Yelan is just too OP at c6. I have c6r5 Wanderer since he's my all time favourite character and he's so much fun at c6 because he can shred all shields, and you can do fun team comps that boost his atk speed instead of dmg. But he's not game breaking. His dmg without supports is okay or worse. I think you should c6 your favourite character, not the meta character.

bcs wanderer is anemo, a neutral element who doesn't react with other element except swirl. yelont is hydro, an element that is basically broken in general. your comparison is not apple to apple since they have different element,role, and playstyle. a hypercarry character like wanderer ofc need his support, unless u are going solo run on abyss/event.
