Why I replaced my Rev9 Intercooler with Wagner on my B9 and how to install Wagner Intercooler

Time to upgrade my intercooler again. Find out why in this video. I also provide a guide installing your Wagner Intercooler if you need a visual. I think we all seen this coming once the build got serious.

Tools Used:
Flat tip screwdriver
T30 bit
T25 bit
Sockets (7mm and 8mm are optional, 12mm,13mm will be needed)
Allen Key (6mm I know I used and then I used either a 4mm or 5mm Allen key the tool wasn't labeled)
7mm drill bit (I actually used a 1/4in drill bit)
Power Drill
Safety Glasses
Wagner Intercooler: store.034motor...

i just put the ie fds race intercooler and charge pipes on my b9.5 s4. its huge. iat are about 2-3 degrees above ambient most of the time👍

Mine arrives Wednesday cant wait lol also new rotors and red stuff pads and transmission insert from 034, this is the best installation video I've seen so far everyone else takes the crash bar and shrouds out lift the car and 💩 definitely following your video for my install... next stage 2

Love your videos, love your transparency.. Black IC is the icing on the cake. Wagner is definitely better quality (Up to OEM standards) than Rev 9.. Not saying Rev 9 Is a bad product but I have used their product before(Close to a decade ago) and had fitment issues with some spotty welds. It's basically trying to Ball on a Budget, and that's okay if you're just THAT, On a budget. In the end, I am glad you went WAGNER, my friend.. Keep the hustle, and keep the family happy.. @@StreetRyde I honestly do, Sir. (Little known Fact) I live vicariously through you/your content. I've been trying to decide whether to get an S4, SQ5, or an S5 Like yours. Or, Wait to see what the B10 will bring to the table.... We're pretty much empty nesters, so I don't need the space but love the look of both SQ5 and S5 SB. Have owned Audis since the 80s(Currently do), Hence the love for them. Either way.. As always, Great Content.

I get me CTS Intercooler today.. was gonna do the Wagner from 034, but they charge too much for shipping.. so can't wait to get the IC and finally be ae to go to 034 Stage 2.. But still waiting on you, let's go ..

Did you look at other charge pipes like the Injen? Great video, I use the REV9 because it was cheaper and is black.

Do you have any dyno or 1/4 results? I dont expect there will be much of a difference. I would have went with CAP if you wanted a significant upgrade

Hey, nice install. What do you think , should i get rev9 or wagner? Probably won’t ever get past stage 1. Also current intercooler is jammed and need to change asap. Thanks in advance

If you want to squeeze every ounce of power grab the Wagner. Better flow and lighter. If you just want to do pulls from time to time Rev9 will work fine.

if i’m stock or stage 1 ie, should I change my intercooler to a better one or which would you recommend? is the rev9 intercooler good?

Rev9 is decent very heavy. I would probably save for a better one. Lighter better core. Not saying you have to go wager just saying do more research.

Did you ever weigh the stock intercooler? Also, I can’t find what the IE intercooler weighs. Just curious if you know.

I didn't weigh the stock intercooler but it is lighter than both. I have never had an ie intercooler to weigh
