So I have the LG C2 on the wall in front of me and it's been my favorite monitor by far. I've had this new 32" Alienware OLED for about 10 days now on the desk in front of me and the results have been interesting. They're both great and I like each a lot. My C2 appears brighter overall, but that's not to say the Alienware is not bright--it is. I'm running my Alienware in Creator Mode with HDR Peak 1000 and it's stunning; it provides a real wow factor. The Alienware is both smoother and more clear and it's not even close. The PPI is noticeably better and motion performance is extremely noticeable. In fact, it was most noticeable when after playing COD on the new Alienware for a week, I went back to my C2. The C2 suddenly looked very choppy and fragmented. Moreover, even where I'm not moving around the map and instead standing still looking at a still image, the C2 just wasn't as clear. However, I must confess that it's been hard for me coming down to a 32" monitor after getting used to a much bigger one, and that's my biggest drawback. So I'm stuck. Using this new 32" Alienware for FPS games has been incredible--extremely clear, smooth, and responsive. Very vibrant too. But I just can't help but prefer to play my RPG games on the TV, like Red Dead 2, etc. If you're undecided and reading this, I honestly think you'll love both. You just need to figure out which one is more important to you, or if you can afford to own both.

Lets precise it lg is brighter in hdr, but qd oled is definitely brighter in sdr

Im thinking the same thing about going back down to 32" I guess I buy it and try it and see if I prefer it over the C2. As of late I have been playing single player games downstairs on 77g2 with a controller.

If you haven't done it already put your alienware in sRGB mode it will be much brighter

LG C2 / C3 is hard to beat. Best clarity, deepest blacks, wish it had higher refresh but 120 isnt bad.

C2 is too big for my desk. If they would make one around 38 inch that'd be perfect. Until then I'll stick with 32 inch

The HDR you experienced is probably due to the Dolby Vision bug. Dell is coming with a firmware update in march to let users toggle Dolby Vision on and off to fix HDR in non-Dolby Vision games. Games will look overexposed when using Dolby Vision but running in regular HDR on PC.

Have you figured out how to toggle Dolby Vision on and off yet?

I have been enjoying gaming on my Samsung S95B QD-OLED TV for quite some time now, and I eagerly await the arrival of my Alienware 32 4K QD-OLED monitor, which is scheduled to arrive on March 13th. Having experienced the superior quality of QD-OLED technology after transitioning from an LG CX, it is challenging to consider reverting to a different display type.

I JUST spoke with DELL regarding the Alienware 32 4K QD-OLED Gaming Monitor - AW3225QF I asked them about the packaging & the firmware updates! Here is the quote: "Both of your questions have been addressed by Dell. The packaging has been adjusted to reduce the chances of micro scratches, and newly shipped units come with the updated firmware" #Monitors #Gaming #PCBuilding #Update #AW3225QF

another reviewer showed their screen with signs of micro scratches right out of the box. It seems the screen can be easily scratched just by contacting the wrapping plastic. For the asking price that's not good, mate

This is literally the same situation im in. I bought the lg 45 1440p 240hz but the curve started messing with my eyes and giving me headaches so i sold it and bought the lg c3 42' and the picture clarity is amazing, unbelievable night and day difference. I do miss the 240hz but the glossy black screen is hard to walk away from. The new 240hz look awesome but im afraid 32 will be too small now that im using a 42 and switching to one if the new qd 32 would be more of a lateral move ontop of the blacks not being deep. People dont understand how important having infinite blacks are even in gaming. Tldr Idk what to do stay with the c3, wait for the 144hz c4 refresh or get a smaller 32 qd oled.

I say stay with the c3. I don’t think the 144hz would be worth an upgrade. I think my path will probably be a 27” high refresh rate coming later this year next to my c2

First step into Alienware, been on MSI and ASUS monitors for a while and had the C2 which was great for PS5 games, but wasn't getting the best out of the 4090. Bought a G8 Oled 34 inch and that was an absolute nightmare. Riddled with problem both DP and HDMI. Saw the Alienware ultra wide which apparently became the go to ultrawide after a firmware update. Alienware AW3225QF is $350 cheaper than the MSI in the UK. Not sure what's happened with the variation in prices across the pond.

U were most like using the QD Oled in a bright room which will affect the black in QD Oled.. They are meant to be used in dim or dark rooms to get the dark inky blacks like its supposed to while aslo having more vibrant colors than the LG C class WoLed.. i traded my C3 for the Alienware u had its the best monitor i ever had.

32" is too big to be competitive and too small to be immersive.

my thought exactly. Cant wait for a 42 inch 240hz PLLZZZ

I'm kind of in the same boat. I find myself wanting to try out the MSI variant before I completely write it off. Overall the monitor doesn't wow me as much as I thought it would and my LG OLED Flex would just work. Alan Wake 2 on my Flex feels genuinely scary and unsettling where as on the AW3225QF it feels like I'm playing a video game.

If I wasn’t directly comparing it to the c2 I’d be really happy with the Alienware. Im curious to see what 480hz on oled is like

Bro that monitor shits all over the c2 and I have a 48" c2 it's great for ps5 and watching movies. But my new pc demands 240hz at least. It has a 4080 super 120hz isn't gonna cut it
